Camilla is an engineer who left science behind to enter the whimsical realm of romantic fiction.

Camilla is a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She's a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn't want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.

I loved the entire series ... the more the books progress the better they get...

Book 1
This book has cheating and I loved it. I'm starting by saying this because I read some maddening reviews saying: "I like this story, but there was cheating, so I'm giving it one star because I don't approve of cheating."
O.o
For me this is like saying you give a mystery you enjoyed one star because there was a murder and you don't approve murders. Hello? Reading and enjoying a story about cheating has nothing to do with your moral standing on the subject... it's either a good story or not. Sorry for the rant, it was just to say that if cheating is a pet peeve of yours skip this book, but don't give it one star because of it.

That said... The confusion and turmoil that came from a love triangle with "the best friend" were so real... Already a love triangle is complicated, but when you add a friendship of decades in the mix things get explosive... I loved how we got all the prospectives in the book with different POVs.

Yeah, Tyler was immature and too indecisive. And Rose made her fair share of mistakes, but by the end of the book I couldn't help liking her and the growth she experienced...

Also the story totally didn't end how you'd expect.

And now to the best part: Ethan! Yet another dishy book boyfriend.... He was dashing, hot, sexy, and just the right amount of alpha!

Book 2

A friends to lovers love triangle with no cheating. This book was everything! The characters and emotions felt so real... I loved following the story from both Jack and Alice's POV.
Alice has had feelings for Jack since freshman year, but she's been stuck in the friend zone ever since. And if you've ever been "in the zone" you know how hard it is to watch your friend date... and how easy you wish each and every one of his reationships won't last... This is Alice for the past two years! But now she's just been dumped and Tyler had just dumped his latest fling so she's determined to not let another day go by without confessing her feelings to Jack. The only problem is she doesn't realize how scarred Jack is from another friendship-turned-relationship gone wrong... and so a series of epic misunderstandings begins... And they all felt very real... My eyes were glued to the pages I had to know what would happen next! The story kept evolving with so many twists and plot turns I hadn't seen coming, but the ending was SO satisfying... Also halfway through the new leading love story for the next book in the series is introduced and I must say I can't wait to read it.

I found this book in the friends to lovers lists and since I already liked the author I gave it a try. Seeing the author's review I found out you can get it for free via the author's newsletter signing up here: http://www.camillaisley.com/freebie

Book 3

With this book I most definitely fell in love with David... he's the ultimate bad-boy-not-so-bad-underneath.... The masquerade I hadn't seen coming and how I wish I could turn into a book character and be Haley for that night!!

The ending had me screaming, "Nooooo, noooooo, noooooooooooo...." but my heart is still beating only because I know there's another book and I can't wait ...

On the female side, Madison is just too adorable ... I hope something good will come her way.

I love how strong the friendships in this book are, and I also love that is a fresh New Adult novel with no previously-abused-characters/alcohol/drugs/tattooed-fighter-types etc... and all the depressing tropes that seem to appear in most books in the genre. This one is all about love and friendship...

Book 4

Oh, how i loved this book. First of all it opens with my favorite character: DAVID! Yeas! Even if he's suffering... I loved him in every state, when he was trying to be douche because he was hurt, when he got mad, when he got impossibly gentle or impossibly hot... He's the perfect example of a three-dimensional character with flaws that make you love him only more...

Now, that scene by the fireplace. OMG, I was melting! This is a squeaky clean romance, but the way the author manages to convey such passion without revealing much... gosh it was all tension and emotions... I just couldn't put this book down!

I loved how all the other stories wrapped up, too. We get glimpses of characters from previous books and it was great to follow Jack and Alice's evolving relationship, you know, to see a couple beyond the veil of the moment they get together...

I could stay with these characters forever...

This set of books was an offer to me on NetGalley by the publisher in return for an honest review.

#All books - 3,5 stars
The plot is built around 10 couples.
These are written has clean romances like the hallmark movies.
There's a pattern of turning players into monogamous boyfriends.
There are a lot of pop culture references.
Although the first could be standalone, the others are tangled. I would suggest you read them like this set. This idea is support by the fact that the third book ends in a kind of cliffhanger and doesn't have closure to the main plot and beyond the main plot, there are little snips about the couples from the previous books.
However a would remind you that the writing and plots get better, so don't give up after the first one.
I was an easy read although I couldn't bear any more love triangles ou quadrangles ou whatever...too much drama for me...

book #1 - 2,5 stars
It feels like the story begins in the middle and not in the beginning. You hardly know the characters and their situation and things start to happen.
I think the tension should have been built before things start to happen.
We get access to thoughts the beyond the two main characters. It's not bad it's just unusual.
Although the structure kind of gets better, it doesn't go deep, you are not overwhelmed by feelings, you hardly get the description of what they feel when they kiss. So you don't really feel there. But the ending might not be the expected one.

books #2 #3 #4 - 3,5 stars, 4 stars, 4stars.
This book begins exactly where the first one ends. And it will tell the story of Alice, who also appears briefly on the first book. But then goes back to the pass. Unlike the first one you can see through other characters eyes, and it gives hint about the following novels. It not so focused on the main romance and goes through the others characters emotions. So many characters.
The writing mature and the length of the book grew, which allow meeting the characters better. However, they should have more depth than they did.

Book 1

This was an interesting mix of characters. Some of them, rich and spoiled and cheaters. Some just rick and loose and shy. Some not so rich, not so loose and strong.

The story is about Rose and Tyler, friends who have known each other since preschool. Now, at Harvard law school together. Rose had always had it in her heart that one day that Tyler would grow up and stop girl hopping and being the man she knew him to be. Instead of the cheater, he tended to be.

He dated and had girlfriends for the shortest of times because he can’t seem to keep it in his pants. All the time Rose was waiting and secretly saying “See Me!” “Be With Me!” But when her boyfriend Marcus dumps her and she had already given up her apartment and she had nowhere to go because he broke the lease. She told Tyler and he offered his extra room at his place rent free.

Of course, she couldn’t do that so she wouldn’t just, not pay she would get the mail first and pay the utility bills. His girlfriend, Georgiana, really hated that whole arrangement. Almost as much as the fact that this was the first girlfriend that Tyler ever had that he wouldn’t chew and spit out. Both women hated each other. Making Tyler’s life a living hell. Georgiana believed men and women couldn’t live together.

I may have felt uncomfortable with the cheating but the emotional confusion was real. These characters were even more engaging than I had even thought or wanted to like. The author grips you and doesn’t loosen the ties at all. She allows you to see what is going on in the world of some of our young people of today.

I give this: 4 stars I would really say 4.5 stars.

Book 2

This was an interesting setup. You have a trio of friends. Alice being the dumped ex from the last book who was with Ethan. He is now with Rose who hates his little sister Georgiana who is dating Rose’s best friend Tyler who Ethan hate.

Which is interesting because Alice who is going into law, rooms with Ethan and Georgiana’s cousin, Madison who Georgiana hates. Now Madison is a romantic always with her head in a book. Aspires to be a writer.

The third in the roommate trio is Haley, she is the smart, airhead, butterfly all rolled into one.

Now that you know the players this is where the interesting parts come in. This trio seems to work. Alice has been in love with Jack also studying law since her freshman year. Jack is on the basketball team. Odd as it is Alice hates all sports. But her and Jack became best friends.

This is the year she is going to finally tell him her feelings of loving him. One little mistake happens first. She tries to kiss him and when he rejects her she says she’s sorry it was a rebound thing and from after her break up with Ethan. Before Jack can say another word, she is gone.

She explains she already knows how to handle one of those meaning him. From that night his jealousy meter is off the charts. See where this box set takes you. Because there are whole other two romances that keeps you hopping. I give this: 5 stars.

Book 3

This book follows mainly Haley and her crazy love triangle. Not one of her making but of two basketball brothers who have a more than a hate relationship. It’s so bad it’s like putting two bulls in the same pen. Which by the way would be safer? Then you add a pretty woman in the middle who didn’t even ask to be there, “Forget about it!”

She went with the one she saw first as eye candy from afar at the airport, Scott. Then ran into coming out of the men’s restroom. (When a girl got to pee, a girl got to pee. No line there.) Anyway, without that, she would have never met Scott.

It turns out Scott plays on the same basketball team as her friend’s boyfriend Jack plays on at Harvard. So, they would be traveling to Hawaii together. While in Hawaii she thinks she’s meeting him at his room turns out she ended up with two of them fighting over her. She is totally freaked out she has never seen such behavior especially over her. It took their teammates to break them up.

After that their bone of contention just grew between them. Haley was able to get out of Scott unknowingly that he had stolen a girlfriend of David’s (his brother) in high school while they were still dating.

So, now through twisted truths and mind games, he was making Scott's relationship with Haley uncomfortable. Not to mention his feelings for her grow. I give this: 5 stars.

Book 4

I have to say the fourth book in the series revolves around the triangle of Haley, Scott, and David. There is a resolution and I really can see an understand the reasoning when questioned by Scott for how Haley’s emotions changing could happen.

Some would say his lack of emotions was cold hearted but the reason she gave about Scott leaving did it. Made sense. Not that he left, but that he never called, called her back, barely texted her, or emailed her. Sorry, there is no Doctor that busy. Especially, if homeboy came back blonder and with a tan duly noted by the author that wasn’t addressed but was made a point and noted by the author as Haley noticing.

She could justify the action because the opportunity was once in a lifetime but to live without him physically is one thing but you can’t text me to at least say “Hi” “Miss you.” Weeks go by then nothing. No, I get it. It would be one thing if he was military couldn’t call but not the case.

Anyway, you also get to see Madison come into her own. She lets her dad know she’s not going to go to law school. She finds the man of her dreams is now a part of her reality. No to mention you find out about Rose, Tyler, Georgiana, and Ethan. See what has happened, over the last year in their lives. You will find yourself laughing, being appalled at times. At the same time, you will see life in a real way. The characters are believable and likable and some you would love to hate but find you can’t.

Overall, when you see the fierceness of these friends you hope your kids have friendships like this. Minus the “one and done” and backstabbing of course. I give you this: 5 stars.

Truthfully, as much as I like these books and I did, can’t say that I would be the one to do the individual books. My memory is bad so being in the set was perfect. I read them straight through which made it perfect for me.

College girls need to beware of the “one and done” they are more common than not. But for guys too. Let’s be honest. The fields have been leveled for both the sexes being this cold. But, when you bring this attitude of one and done into your life you open yourself up to be a throw-away. So, the consequences, be damned. Is that what you really want? If anything this book gives you an open look at college relations and hook-ups. Overall for the set I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at

I loved this series, literally burned through the pages.

Book 1
This book was a curve ball. When reading, especially romances, I usually start all smug saying, "I know how it's going to end!" Well, this is one of the few romance novels where I hadn't seen the ending coming by a hundred miles. If you'd told me at the beginning how it was going to end for Rose I wouldn't have even started reading it, but by reading the story I completely changed my mind... by the end I was totally sold and a bit infatuated. And still, this was my least favorite book in the series...

Book 2
A great sequel and the perfect friends to lovers romance. I loved how the book was in a series but also felt like a completely new one, the stories from the first book and this one overlapped beautifully. And Jack! AWWWW.

Book 3 and 4
These were epic! David was my favorite character of the whole series. The super intricate love triangles here were the best, but also the strong depiction of female friendship.

I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters....

I want to thank the Pink Bloom Press editions and the netgalley website for this partnership.

This complete article tells the story of Boston students who love each other with love and friendship. Rose is in love with her best friend, a bit difficult for her especially since she moved in with Tyler. As for him he hesitates between two girls. One of her Georgina will do everything for the separated. Alice is in love with Jack who enjoys university. Except that Peter will do everything to conquer Alice's heart. David and Scott are in love with the same girl: Haley. And Madison is in love with a man except that he is in love with his best friend.

An integral or I struggled to hang on to the story, I found a little long this box set.

I am just gonna say off the bat I do not care for cheating tropes at all. They are not my thing. I think cheating is disgusting and I get no pleasure from reading it in books. However, I can ignore that for the sake of a book. I couldn't do anything with this.

Take the cheating as is. Okay, well, the characters who look down on cheating and were mad about were... You guessed it, taking part in cheating. That was annoying. Additionally, almost everyone was completely unlikeable in the first book. Then the characters who got weren't really known until the next books were mostly not very likeable. The ONE character I really liked turned out to be just as wishy washy and judgemental. And then, I kind of didn't like her.

Also the relationships are largely toxic. I get having feelings for more than one person at a time, no problem there. Not something I do, but I know it's possible. I also know it's possible to fall out of love with someone. It happens every day. But the man was constantly blowing up at her at the smallest thing. He would suspect something and get mad. He was borderline controlling. This is not a healthy relationship. Then she leaves him for his brother who was manipulative and a jerk. Lmao

These relationships were baffling. I have no idea how they were friends because a lot of the time they treated each other like shit. Don't even get me started on the woman who tricked a man into getting her pregnant and they get married lmaoooo like wtf.

These books are tragic and messy. But not in the fun way where you're like eating popcorn the whole time. It's I'm so mad at everyone and am rooting for exactly no one kind of messy.

None of this makes sense for adults in their mid to late twenties. They are immature. This would 100% make much more sense with high school as a backdrop rather than college and having some be graduated from college too.

That all being said, I have read other Camilla Isley books before I really liked. But she seems to be hit or miss with me, I guess.

The characters in this collection have no depth other than the depth of their collective depravity. They interact with each other in geometric pentagrams of betrayal. If I could give negative stars I would. I put this on the fastest speed possible and yet I still resented my time and money wasted on this grotesque disaster.

Thank you Netgalley, Kobo Writing Life, and Pink Bloom Press for letting me read these books!!

Before Thoughts:
First off I'd like to thank Netgalley again for letting this be reviewed by any reviewer including myself. I've wanted to read this series for many months now and you've given me the opportunity to.

Because when entering the giveaways fail then you can always rely on Netgalley and publishers to give you other opportunities to enjoy a series or book.

I am always a sucker for romance and sometimes you need a little bit of fluff and romance to pass the time after so many fantasy and adventure books.

Review:
Read on: _/_/18 (Whole Box set)
To be published on: 06/28/18

Now, this review will be split up into brief thoughts, plot lines, overall rating, and characters for each book. I will review each of the books with honest thoughts.

Book 1: "Let's Be Just Friends"

Plot:
All of the characters are in college (except Ethan) and they are studying to become lawyers in whatever practice as a lawyer they want to. We don't really focus much on the lawyer stuff with the plot it's more so mentioned by the characters but doesn't really take up too much from the major plotline.

Tyler and Rose are best friends and roommates while at school. However, Tyler has a girlfriend named Georgiana who doesn't like that those two are roommates. And Tyler and Rose explore each other in the bedroom for like a month. (Meaning Tyler has now cheated on Georgiana) And things get a bit complicated from there.

For example, Georgiana starts scheming to keep Tyler away from Rose. Then Rose is eventually given the time to find her own independence and space from her best friend so things may go back to normal with their friendship. Along the way, Rose learns from her mistakes, moves on, and finds her own happiness again. (Also her friendship with Tyler is eventually restored.)

Character(s):
Rose: She is a brunette with dark brown eyes and a lovely olive complexion. She's Tyler's best friend since they were in Pre-k. She cares about him a lot and even when they broke a barrier in their friendship she was eventually able to talk things out with Tyler to restore that barrier. She learns from her mistakes and she is in a happy place in her life for learning from her mistakes. She loves the color red and she doesn't particularly like Georgiana.
(But I mean, who wouldn't dislike Georgiana??)

Tyler: He doesn't have much of a description for how his character looks. But all you need to know is he's Rose's Best friend, he's a loyal friend, he usually cheats on every girl he's ever had a relationship to, he's Georgiana's boyfriend, he used to be roommates with Rose, he gets jealous easily, and he basically causes a lot of problems for himself in this book. Overall he's a good person but obviously just really needs to work on a lot of things for himself.

Georgiana: She has black hair, pale complexion, and piercing blue eyes. She's a lot like Regina George. (Meaning she's conniving, scheming, b*tchy, and selfish.) Her character frustrated me to death. Every annoying scheme she pulled really pissed me off. But I suppose that means the author did something right when creating a character we're supposed to hate. I mean there are times when I "want" to "feel" sorry for her, but I really don't think I can feel sorry for her.

Ethan: Georgiana's older brother. He has Black hair, pale complexion, and piercing blue eyes. He was going to be a lawyer like his many in his family before him but decided he really liked Real estate instead.
He seems like a player or too much of a bad boy, but as you read on you see that he only seems like a player because he's afraid of getting hurt again. He's afraid of commitment because of what his old girlfriend Sabrina did to him. And he even has a lot of love to offer when he does get committed to someone. (He's probably my favorite character hehe)

Brief thoughts:
I devoured this book really quickly because it's so easy to read and it's also so much fun to read through with all of the different POVs.
I also believe things ended well enough at the end of book 1, but I can't help but feel like there could've been more done here. I would've liked more development on some characters and maybe more of a look at the relationship between Rose and Ethan.
(At least over the months that were skimmed through)

Because they are cute together and I wanted to see more of those cute moments.
(I only saw some of those cute moments.)

I mean maybe book 2 will give me more of those cute moments, but let's see.

I enjoyed this series, though there were some of the books that I liked more than others. I think my favorite story of the couples was Jack and Alice's. Madison's story was a little too quick for me, and Haley's was a little too sad. And honestly Georgianna and Tyler's story was just heart-breaking for me and made me so angry. Georgianna was a horrible person and I really hoped that she would get more of a "lesson learned" than what she did. Rose's story was definitely not what I expected it to be! I kept expecting it to take a hard left and turn around and it never happened. And then I got to the end and was just surprised that was where it ended! There were a lot of characters in this story and many of them were interesting, though I was a little put off by the obsession with "boys" in the story lines. I can certainly understand it but I think being so far removed from that period of my life has made me forget what it feels like to be "boy-crazy." It reminded me a lot of my youth though, and I didn't want to put it down. The story line was interesting and I felt involved enough with the characters that I felt engaged in their stories. I'd recommend the series! Thought maybe space it out a little, I think if I had even a tiny bit of room between the books I would've been more patient with some of the characters.

Great holiday read!

Not a book to read when tired, as initially it moves between characters quite a bit and takes a little more to get involved with the characters.
Having said that, it's a great holiday read.
I'm not a reviewer that goes into great detail, otherwise there wouldn't be any point in you reading the book!
So short explanation....
A childhood friendship that crosses the line and then causes mayhem.
Along with the story of three girls (bff's) at Harvard University and their interconnecting friendships/relationships with the players of the uni's basketball team.
Unfortunately I can't comment on the authenticity of the description of Uni life in the US, as I'm a Brit!
So, to recap.... Three friends to lovers stories all with a HEA, which
I definitely enjoyed!

This was a really enjoyable series I was not sure, to begin with as I am not a huge fan of cheating in my books but the more I read the more I liked it this is well-written series and each book is better than the last one. With a good mix of characters and good well-written plots, this is a great box set

This was an amazing series... I loved how many characters, love stories, conflicts, and intrigues there were...

The friendships were the best as well...

So many characters all linked...

But most of all I LOVED bad boy David, I'm so sad he doesn't exist IRL and I can't marry him!

This box set contains four complete novels about young adults that are very well written, emotionally compelling and very enjoyable to read. The collection features wonderful characters who are in various stages in their college education, on their own for the first time in their lives, trying to cope with classes, homework and part time jobs which can all be quite challenging. Of course, they’re also meeting new people and making friends with members of both sexes while learning that their actions can’t always be predicted and have far reaching and sometimes heartbreaking consequences. As they experience physical attraction and sexual desire some couples will find lasting love while others will stumble through a lot of potholes along the way. Reading about these characters led me to reflect on my own road to becoming an adult and the myriad emotions that go along with the crazy thing we call love. I think readers of all ages will see themselves in one or more of the youthful characters in this engaging box set and I hope they will enjoy it as much as I did. I read an early copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

A group of college friends deal with love and relationship issues. This one book contained the 4 books of the series “Just Friends” and each book was loosely connected.
I loved it. I was so in the mood for a contemporary. This book delivered and still remained “clean”.
How refreshing . The story was captivating for me and I enjoyed the whole “friends” vibe.
Good story, great characters and an easy flowing writing style that kept me hooked to the end.

I kept my fingers crossed when I requested a copy from NetGalley to review this series for an honest opinion. I was super excited when I was approved!

This is about two best friends who have INSANE chemistry. One of them is always unavailable while the other is drool over them. Let me tell you I don't condone cheating at all, but this just felt right if they makes any sense!

I felt such a powerful connection to this book and writing as I was madly in love with my best friend for years. One of us always unavailable making the other one insane. I understand how easily the cheating with each other can happen when the passion and love is there! I suggest this book to anyone who has ever harbored feelings for someone unattainable! This book will make you frustrated, happy, sad, and angry but trust me you will love every single second of it!

This book was really good. I enjoyed the different characters and situations that they had to go through. I can't pick a specific couple that I liked best because I felt like I relate to them all in one or another. Besides who can pass up four stories in one book, amirite?

I really enjoyed the Just Friends series which centers on a group of friends going to college in Boston.

Book one centers on Rose and Tyler. Rose has had a crush on her BFF Tyler for ages and this book chronicles what happens when she decides to act on it. Unfortunately, this is probably the weakest book of the series. It does contain a cheating element and Tyler is very wishy-washy.

Book two centered on a love triangle with a lot of different characters in sort of a round robin of romantic relationships. I really liked Ethan. Alice (who is hung up on Jack) made the friend zone excruciating.

Book three: I probably liked David and Haley the best. No cheating, not a lot of angst, they just were friends afraid of being more!!

Book 4 nicely resolves all the triangles. I was happy with how all the stories wrapped up.

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

First, I would like to sincerely apologize to the author for posting a scathing review of the wrong book series. I hope that this makes up for it.

I absolutely loved THIS series! I found myself being drawn more and more into the full story with each book and becoming very attached to the characters—particularly where it came to Alice, Madison, and Haley.

Admittedly, the first book with Rose and Tyler wasn’t my favorite. However, I’m very glad that I continued reading as the other books were much more interesting and “fun.” My favorite couple by far were Haley and David. While Scott was a good guy, I always find myself rooting for the underdog—the misunderstood guy with a heart of gold. While he was a complete jerk at first, he seemed to do a complete turnaround where it came to Haley which I loved.

The main thing that I was divided on was that Scott didn’t necessarily deserve losing Haley, but the heart wants what it wants. As someone who has been in Haley’s shoes, I felt that the conflict was genuinely portrayed and she did the right thing in the end.

Overall, the writing and story just got better with each book. It was nice to see the writer’s evolution throughout.
