Austin has been in love with his best friend, Miles, twin sisters for years. Well, that was until one day when things went awry, and Shay became enemy number one on Austin's list. Now that She is working for their company, thanks to a bit of nepotism, can he continue to hate her or will all of the old feelings Austin had for Shay come tumbling back?

This was such a Fun and Steamy Read. Shay and Austin know how to heat things up inside and outside the bedroom.

This was a fun read and I enjoyed that the MC’s occupation was running a gaming empire! How fun! This book has a LOT of spice. Instant love. I was hoping with enemies to lovers that there would be more strife or conflict. Or at least for it to last longer than it did. I’d categorize it more as a romance novel. Billionaire MC. Forced proximity. Disability representation. I loved how the Barbie-esque girl really shows everyone what she’s made of and that she can be independent and smart! I really enjoyed in this book!

ARC received via the author. All opinions are my own.

This is the second installment and an interconnected standalone of this series. I loved seeing members from previous books written by Kaylene Winter! It makes me so happy when I get to see snippets of their lives after their stories and to see their love as strong as ever!

I love how each book focuses on an issue that is not part of a “normal” conversation. I love that Kaylene brings awareness to certain topics that people look at as embarrassing or would bring a bad reputation. I love that she doesn’t just talk about it, but brings it to the forefront and main focus while having her characters conquer and own their issues. It’s very encouraging and shows people they are not alone in their struggles and can overcome anything.

I loved the “enemies” vibe, although it didn’t last long and quickly turned the ember of love to a full flame. There was a lot of steamy scenes throughout that definitely showed their chemistry. I loved that Austin was the one with the most insecurities instead of Shay. Shay definitely had her fair share, but once she started finding herself, she owned her mistakes and I loved her strength and determination for it! I really liked Austin, but not as much as the other characters from previous books.

Regardless, I loved this story and read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Im excited for the next book in the series to see who are the next two that will have to work hard to reach the finish line for their HEA.

I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you so much for an ARC copy of this books Kaylene, I loved it so much.
The Flirt Alert will be released on the 17th of November, and it's definitely one to read!

The story follows Shay and Austin, who are quite complex characters, but I really enjoyed getting to know and see them in a different light when they discovered the truth that had been hiding between them for a decade.

Shay ends up getting out of a long relationship, and her twin brother offers her a job at his and his best friend Austin's gaming empire business. Austin was quite unaware of this and was not happy in the slightest when he found out, but that all changed as the story progressed.

I really liked Shay and Austin's relationship and how it developed fairly quickly but also how they navigated through a number of issues such as medical conditions.

The story really hooked me from the very start, and I could just not wait to read it all to get the full story and experience. Not only did I love the characters, but I was quite surprised at how smutty the book actually was in the end. It was much more than I expected, but I'm not going to complain about that at all.

I like to think that this is the first Christmas book of the season so far, seeing how some of the plot is set in December and the snow and all of the havoc on the mountain when Shay and Austin were unable to get back to the resort the staff were staying at - I loved that bit so much!

I really liked that the chapters were fairly short, as well as giving off the feeling that we experienced more through those chapters as the time moved on. Everything was so well thought out and written perfectly that it just makes you fall in love with the characters and the plot overall.

If you love a workplace billionaire romance with great characters and some surprising twists, The Firt Alert by Kaylene Winter might be right up your alley. It's a standalone, featuring many other tropes romance readers will enjoy. Enemies to lovers? Check. Best friend's sister/ brother's best friend? Double check these two right off the bat. Forced proximity?? Oh boy, you'll have to see how that happens- it's hot stuff, despite the cold location.

We meet Miles and Austin, best friends forever whose lives have been entwined since childhood. Their shared love of anything tech and combined off the charts intelligence, paved the way to co- founding their own successful gaming company, becoming billionaires in their 20's. Should I also mention that they morphed from geeky to super hot, sexy and memorable along the way?

When Miles' beautiful twin sister, Shay, returns home after a long relationship ends abruptly, he offers her a chance to shine and succeed with a job offer she can't refuse. So, why is Austin livid about Shay working with them now? It's true she's smart and capable, but she also crushed his teenaged heart long ago and he's never forgetten how horrible she made him feel.

I seemed like secrets, some buried for years, touched everyone in some way or another- lots of twistiness. Lovers of spice and a second chance will rejoice, because when Austin and Shay give in to their true feelings- they sure do know how to burn up the pages. So, if hot and steamy romance is on your list of must haves, you'll find plenty of that here. The Flirt Alert is lower on the angst scale than this author's usual, in my opinion, but with past hurts, misunderstandings, along with the emotional upheaval of Shay's big secret revealed (written with care and sensitivity), heart squeezing moments were guaranteed.

Finally, as always, I love having multiple POVs in my romance books. Learning more about the past and present added interesting layers to these characters and their complex story. The Flirt Alert takes readers on an emotional ride, sometimes with tears, sprinkled with humor and a great story. A fun hightlight for me, (and I'm sure many other readers too) were the cameos and extra special appearances featuring characters from an earlier series. I loved seeing them again and hearing what they were up to now. What a great bonus to see them pop up here in this story.

I received an early copy of this book to read and this is my honest review of it.

This book was spicy spicy SPICY!!! It was interesting reading a book with the MMC occupations being one of the CEO's for a gaming company. And the FMC had health issues being something I never read about (the FMC has epilepsy - which can be a trigger for some). I do love how this was a second chance story because the MMC has been in love with the FMC since high school & his love is still just as strong when he is older. However, it was supposed to be enemies to lovers due to an incident that left our MMC heartbroken in high school. There was some slight banter/angst/conflict with the enemies to lovers portion, however, I do wish it went on a little longer. I felt like the MMC got over his anger/heartbreak real fast and dove right into trusting her and wanting to be with her after one conversation & one steamy night. Overall, I did enjoy the book. If you are looking for a workplace/enemies to lovers/second chance/brothers twin sister book with A LOT of SPICE. Then you definitely read this book.

I absolutely adored this book. The romance and the spice were top notch of course, no surprise there. Kaylene has a way with words where you’re transported into the story and you forget you’re reading and then boom you’ve finished a whole book in one sitting, it’s seamless. I really enjoyed getting to see characters from the Less Than Zero world in this book too, I thought that was a fun addition. Deeper than that though I really appreciate the accurate representation of chronic illness that Kaylene often includes in her writing. As someone who lives with chronic illness it’s really comforting so see someone else express the same feelings and worries as I do. Also getting to see them have love stories and get their happy endings, not perfect, but happy endings is quite special.

The Flirt Alert is the second spin-off book from Kaylene Winter's Less than Zero series. It features cameo appearances from some of the main characters from that series and focuses on people who were minor characters in the books.
This time the story is about Shay and Austin. Austin has had a crush on Shay for years, but since something happened in their teenage years, he hasn't been able to stand her. There is a thin line between love and hate though and it isn't long before they find themselves crossing it, when they spend more time together.
I enjoyed this romance, Shay and Austin are a good couple. I also really liked the way that Shay's health issues were handled. It was informatively and sensatively done. I learnt a lot about a condition I knew very little about, without it taking over and taking anything away from the romance itself. This was a great read and one that I really enjoyed.

This story started off strong and the enemies to lovers storyline was chefs kiss.
I really liked our fmc Shay and how determined she was to make her stamp as the head of marketing after a terrible breakup.
Austin, our mmc, was really judgemental in the beginning but once they had a conversation it was done. He was in love again and I do understand him why he was acting the way that he did.
I really enjoyed Kaylene’s writing style and I applaud her for talking about how we need more women in STEM! This book also talks about another passion of mine, video games😍 And holy hell was this book SPICY🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Overall, I loved this book and the character arc of both Shay and Austin was impeccable.

Flirt Alert takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions!!! The initial hate from Billionaire Austin towards an already heartbroken Shay in the beginning can be felt through the pages!! But one night being stranded together changes everything!! We watch him learn of her epilepsy and the truth comes out from when they knew each other before. The spice is off the charts which is always a bonus!!! The even bigger bonus is getting to see those LTZ guys make appearances throughout since I know we all miss them!! Definitely recommend that you read this book!!!

If you love a workplace billionaire romance with great characters and some surprising twists – then “The Flirt Alter” by Kaylene Winter might be the right book for you. It has all the best tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Best Friend’s Friend & Forced Proximity – Sign me up! The story hooked me from the very start – I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to experience the love story between Shay & Austin.

Shay Stojanović, returns home after her long relationship ends abruptly, Miles her twin offers her a chance to shine and work at his Gaming Company he co-founded – with his partner Austin Andrews – it’s an offer she can’t refuse. But Austin is not very pleased that Miles hired her without discussing it with him beforehand. You may ask why he is livid that Shay will be working with him – despite her being smart and capable of the position of Marketing, she broke his heart a long time ago. He still hasn’t forgotten how horrible she made him feel. Austin does everything in his power to make her life difficult, but Shay is not deterred. Until the truth comes to light and things change for her. And once they do, it's like a light turns on for her!

I loved the “enemies” vibe, although it didn’t last long and quickly turned the ember of love to a full flame. There were a lot of steamy scenes throughout that showed their chemistry. I loved that Austin was the one with the most insecurities instead of Shay. Shay had her fair share, but once she started finding herself, she owned her mistakes and I loved her strength and determination for it!

Oh Boy was this book S P I C Y ! I didn’t expect this amount of smut but I’m not complaining tho. I loved the storyline with all the different layers of Shay and Austin’s lives. I was enlightened about epilepsy – that I wasn’t aware of but Kaylene did a wonderful job explaining Shay’s medical condition. She did it in such an educational way – which I enjoyed. The author did a great job creating complicated and troubled characters.

The Flirt Alert: Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Billionaire, Brother's Best Friend, Workplace Romance. (Spicy Standalones) Kaylene Winter is about Shay, recently dumped by her NFL boyfriend and newly hired to work in her twin brother's gaming company. Her new boss is her brother's best friend and business partner, Austin. Austin allowed Shay to seduce him after she had a few too many vodka shots in they were both in high school, That night turned into a disaster that Austin never recovered from. Shay has an illness that she has kept secret for years due to the stigma society and her family allowed to be attached to her. This secret almost destroyed Austin in the past. The debilitating emotional wounds of his past hurts from Shay and his family cause him to have trust issues. Shay has been cast aside after seven years with her ex-boyfriend and feels insecure. Shay and Austin end up stranded in a winter lodge shed, unable to return to the chateau. This time spent together rekindles a passion between Austin and Shay. Circumstances of trying to survive constant working, deciding where to work, being supportive of each other, and having family falling out are barricades for Austin and Shay's love for each other to last. Will they communicate how they feel and carve out essential time for each other so their relationship thrives, or will it fade into non-existence? Kaylene Winter's The Flirt Alert is another outstanding romance that deals with real issues, such as a lifelong illness, the emotional fallout of living with it, and how others may react. Once more, Kaylene Winter has beautifully written a steamy stand-alone romance book.

ARC REVIEW! This was a fun book to read, I loved the main characters and it was fun to read about their jobs and learn more about her medical conditions that I’m not too knowledgeable about! I would say the only thing I didn’t love about the book is the time line because it jumps around a lot I don’t love gaps in time typically so nothing personal to the book just my personal preference, but I think it was probably needed for the story line to be realistic. I also was so shocked by a few things I thought for sure would be predictable to happen didn’t and felt like it was a lot of build up for conflicts but the resolution was quick and almost looked over. I loved their relationship and this is my second book by Kaylene and I think she writes great spice and perfect book boyfriends and I love that Joar and Clover made a cameo!

Austin co-owns a successful gaming business with his best friend Miles. When Miles’ sister needs a job after a recent breakup, he hires her. Austin is not happy about it as he hates her.

Shay moves back him after her breakup, gets a job with her brother but cannot understand why Austin treats her poorly.

When they are both stranded on a snowy mountain, the truth behind their feelings are revealed.

This is an enjoyable spicy read. Austin and Shay bring all the drama and the spice. The connection feels a little quick for me, and I didn’t connect with the characters as much as other stories but it’s still a good and enjoyable read. What this story does bring however is lots of attention to how medical conditions can contribute to things and this one was well fleshed out and added an interesting element to the story.

Austin freaking Andrews 😫💖

This was a cute, spicy, and fun read! There is a great amount of spice. I wish the enemies-to-lovers trope was more prominent. The enemy's part was cut too short but blossomed into a loving relationship with Austin and Shay.

Overall I enjoyed the book and loved the disability representation. I loved the characters and how Austin and Shay's relationship flourished.

The Flirt Alert is a scorching, standalone, billionaire, enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother, forced proximity, STEM workplace, HEA romance.

AUTHOR’S NOTE

This is quite possibly one of my most personal books in that Shay, my FMC, is dealing with an issue that is near and dear to a close family member of mine.

How her family deals with it is similar to how the grownups in mine dealt with it and although the characters are wildly different, some of the scenarios are very, very similar to things that happened.

The setting in The Flirt Alert is Seattle, of course, and a character that appears in Endless Encore is the MMC star!

Austin Andrews is a billionaire, gaming company founder who isn’t even thirty. He’s been smitten with his co-founder’s twin sister for YEARS, though Shay does something to rattle Austin to the core - and causes him to absolutely loathe her.

When circumstances throw them together, he’s determined to break her spirit but, well, life has other plans.

I really hope you love The Flirt Alert, it’s a fast-paced, winter-themed HEA. The tropes are: Billionaire, Forced Proximity, Enemies to Lovers, Brother’s Best Friend, STEM Workplace.

Austin and Shay were in each others life when they were younger due to Austin being Shay’s brothers best friend. Now here we are with them as adults and Austin has been harboring hate towards Shay since they were younger. Austin always had a crush on Shay, but things happened and now they don’t have any relationship at all.

Now present time and Shay is working for Austin and her brothers company. Austin does everything in his power to make her life difficult, but Shay rolls with the punches. Until truths come out and things change for them. And once they change, it’s like a light switches for them!

But as easy as things seem, their journey is definitely a hard fought one! Both of them need to get over and come to terms with things from the past. Will they be able to do that together? Or will things ultimately pull them apart?

Shay and Austin have known each other for decades but both have something that they have hidden from the world.
Shay- with a "handout" from her twin brother and everything to prove, is a complex, strong and resilient woman who will prove to everyone that she is not her diagnosis.
Austin- is at the top of his game but can't seem to move on from his past. He is holding on without the full story.

I love a book that I can devour in a sitting and Kaylene has done it again. I truly enjoyed this one from start to finish and the cameo of my favorite LTZ guy didn't hurt either. The story and characters were fun and relatable and I love seeing STEM and creatives represented in books.

The story revolves around Austin and Shay, who are complex individuals, each dealing with their own personal challenges.

I appreciated the delicacy in which the issues were dealt with and it was extremely interesting to learn about a medical condition I knew very little about, which added depth to the narrative.

As a fan of the enemies-to-lovers and workplace romance tropes, I thoroughly enjoyed Austin and Shay’s journey, but hoped for for a little more conflict between the two characters to heighten the tension.

Overall, this was an extremely fun, engaging read that handled sensitive subjects with care - with a large dash of spice 😉.

Another great story that I loved & hit a little close to home for me. I liked that the characters in this book were not perfect & had issues that people face in real life. I felt bad for both Shay & Austin. Shay gave 10 years for her NFL boyfriend sacrificing herself for him to become a star & Austin grew up with a crappy homelife. Loved their chemistry together, I couldn't help but root for them go get together. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

4.5⭐

The Flirt Alert is a vibrant entertaining enemies to lovers workplace romance.

Featuring Shay, who is dumped by her NFL boyfriend just as he's about to make a multi-million dollar move. And so Shay having no job, no money and no choice moves home to Seattle to live with her parents.

But desperate to prove she is more than the girl who got her ungrateful ex back on his feet and achieving big things. Shay sets about getting a job. Only her search is unsuccessful. So her twin brother Miles offers her cushy marketing role at his gaming company.

Only Miles fails to ask his best friend Austin and co-owner of the company if he is ok with this. Thinking that he'd be cool.

However, Austin deeply hurt by Shay thanks to an incident in high school doesn't want Shay around. So he vows to do everything in his power to make Shay quit, and assumes it'll be easy, given everything he remembers about her.

What he doesn't realise is he's met his match and Shay is far from the girl he remembers. And she could easily fall for him. If only he'd stop being so horrible.

But when the pair get stranded in a winter lodge on a work retreat. Old truths and hurts are revealed. As well as a secret Shay has been keeping. And hate soon turns to love. As the pair can't keep their hands off each other.

However, back in the real-world old problems soon surface including family falling out and the constant pressure of working together.

Yet, Shay and Austin are determined to keep communicating through it all and calling for a flirt alert whenever they need some much needed time together.

But is that enough to make this burgeoning romance thrive?

And with plenty of spicy moments and real-life issues including a character living and dealing daily with a lifelong illness. This was a really enjoyable and captivating read. That I would happily recommend to all.

My thanks to Kaylene Winter for the opportunity to read The Flirt Alert. 😊

Super cute & steamy

Shay has always been blessed with the personality that afforded her the joys of being the “it” girl. She beautiful, charismatic, and the perfect relationship. At least…that is until her decade old relationship takes a very unplanned turn that lands her back in her childhood bedroom & living with her parents.

Austin is the co-owner & co-founder of a very successful gaming company called Hungry Llama. He’s a genius & an absolute force when it comes to the administrative side of the business, but he hasn’t always been that way. Once the nerdy best friend to Shay’s twin brother, Austin had a lot of growing to do to get to where he is now. And now, he’s the very successful & very sexy billionaire boss that any woman would love to get her hands on.

When Shay’s twin, Miles, informs Austin of hiring his twin, Austin is livid. He & Shay have a history that definitely starts them out as enemies. But when Shay proves herself to be very helpful & insightful on the job, Austin has to agree that she was a lucrative hire.

When Austin & Shay finally have a heart to heart, all the dirty laundry is aired & the truth comes to light. And when they come together intimately…wow…the explosion. Their chemistry is palpable even when it is mildly forbidden. But when two people are so perfect for each other, things seems to work themselves out.

I loved watching those two slowly fall & come to the reality that things aren’t always as they seem. And sometimes, secrets don’t always make life easier. The way that Austin wanted to take care of Shay so completely, and even though she could take care of herself, she knew that was his love shining through.

This was my first read by this author, & I honestly can’t wait for Miles to get his story…bc I have a feeling he would fall haaaaaard!

This billionaire romance was just too cute and honestly, a little different than most books with that story line. Austin and his best friend aren’t known as “the cool kids” and I thought that was a fun twist to the typical hot shot billionaire romance.

Austin and his best friend’s sister, Shay, had a falling out in high school and ever since he’s never forgiven her. Even though she doesn’t remember it. He’s built up so much hate for her and doesn’t hide it when she’s hired on to their company during a down time in her life. But ultimately he still can’t resist her. They deal with obstacle after obstacle but ultimately realize they are meant for each other.

There’s a trigger warning for epilepsy in this and I thought the topic was portrayed so well in this story line. It showed us that you can manage this type of illness and still live a normal life.

Overall I thought this was an adorable read!

I was given this book as an advance copy in return for my honest review. Thank you ValentinePR and Kaylene Winters!

A high school broken heart leaves a lasting impression, so when his ex is given a job at his company by his business partner (her brother), Austin’s not happy. He’s going to make Shay’s life so difficult she’ll quit, who cares if he’s still attracted to her. But there’s things he didn’t know, and when he learns everything, it’s time to change tack.
Despite her issues Shay is a strong and independent woman, while Austin needed to face his insecurities and grow beyond his hate to let their relationship go where it was meant to.
This is a wonderful, fun but heartfelt story that deals with some difficult issues while maintaining a romcom feel. It’s sweet, cute and steamy, with some angst, tension and emotion and a great HEA.

I received an ARC from Valentine PR and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

I really liked the journey Kaylene took us on with both MCs. There are highs and lows with both characters and I found their attitudes and growth very relatable.

Austin has been holding a grudge against Shay since their senior year of high school and when she comes waltzing back into his life he has plans to take her down. But that all quickly changes when Shay reveals she’s not the stuck up mean girl she used to be in high school.

The disability representation in this one is done very well and is one I haven’t read about before so I really enjoyed that aspect of it as well.

Read this one if you love:

Shay is someone who needed a second chance. When her brother, Miles, gives her a job at his company, she is faced with Austin, her brother’s best friend. But he is completely rude to her. What starts out as a hateful relationship, it turns into love & more; from misunderstandings to true love.

I thought this was kinda cute! This book was the enemies-to-lovers trope, but that died very early on in the book. I would’ve loved to see the enemies aspect without Austin being completely mean & rude to Shay. His behavior is somewhat understandable, but he was always making assumptions without getting the real reason, even when him & Shay got together.

Something I really liked is the disability representation. The honest and openness about epilepsy, and how it could really affect relationships—romantic and not.

This story follows Shay and how her whole life seems to have fallen part so she gets a job at her brothers company but her new boss hates her and she doesn't know why. Shay is a badass smart person but doesn't like being vulnerable while Austin is a bit of a nerdy cinnamon roll MMC that's obsessed with Shay. I loved Shays confidence and fierceness .My favorite thing about them is how they almost always spoke things out and always tried to resure each other. I also loved that he supported her dream and that she eventually started choosing herself. This was a book has a bit of banter along with good spice and so much fun to read definitely recommend.

I loved the first book in this series, The hate Date. This was a cute read. Austin falls for his best/business partner's twin sister, Shay. She has a medical condition that she doesn't want anyone to know about, but she ends up telling Austin. He's so sweet and I love with her that he starts looking up everything he can about it. Miles at first doesn't want to see his best friend with his twin, but then he comes around.

I would say that if you loved the first book in the series, then you will love this one too. I would love to see Miles get his own story also.
