My First Touch and Trace First ABC is a fun interactive book for infants. The book is a made out of cardboard. Each page has two frames. One frame has a letter at the top half that is grooved/indented. The letter has slotted dashes that is meant for the child to trace the letter in capital and small letters with their fingers. This allows them to start formulating the direction in which to draw these letters. The bottom frame has an image that begins with that letter. That letter is shown with the word for that item spelled out and the letter again in listed in capital and small letters. The colors pop out. Each of the images are actual photographs. For example the "F" image is a frog, then Ff is displayed to the right of the image is "Ff is for frog". The bottom frame has a flap when lifted up the top part of the flap has the letters and displays a new image that begins with that same letter. In the case above the lifted flap shows "Ff is for fish" then the bottom half has a photograph of a clown fish.
I believe this is a fun way for infants to begin learning their alphabet, enjoy reading with their parents and see lots of colorful puctures. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers.
This is a great book for toddlers! Big bold letters stand out to help them learn them by being easily recognizable. The upper case letter on each page is recessed w/ directional arrows so your child can trace the letter, helping improve fine motor skills as well as teaching them how to form each letter. (The lower case letters also have directional arrows, but are not recessed.) Each letter has two pictures w/ it--Mm is for monkey, lift the flap! (we all know how much kids love lift the flap books!) and underneath is "Mm is for mouse." All pictures are bold and bright and clean, without any unnecessary clutter, making it visually stimulating while at the same time allowing the book to fulfill its purpose. Every toddler should have one of these!
This wonderful sturdy board book is a great learning tool to teach young readers the alphabet by allowing little hands to lift and learn. Real photographs show various objects and animals that start with letters from A to Z. The word elephant starts with the letter E and if you lift the flap readers will see the letter E is also for eggs. Right above the lift flap readers will also be able to use their finger or paper and pencil to trace the letter E via its grooved surface.
This handy book is an excellent way to encourages learning to read independently by teaching pre-reading skills, letter recognition and phonemic awareness. Tracing the letters helps readers muscular memory and improves motor skills.
Rev up your fine motor engines because this little gem is going to take you for a ride. VROOM…
First ABC is a pre-tracing and lift-the-flap book. Each letter of the alphabet has its own page with a tracing feature on top and a lift the flap object and/or animal below. Your toddler will enjoy countless minutes of this delightful book and you, Mama, will have some time to read your goodreads newsfeed.
First ABC’s is a fun activity book for kids who are just learning how to write on their own. Each page shows upper and lower case letter and how to write it. In the letter is a guide on how to write the letter by showing arrows on where to start and end. Underneath is a flap of two different things that start with that letter.
