The book starred an Cheyenne girl and her need for revenge on one of the most notorious Colonial's not only of the Civil War but his hatred and need to remove the Indians from existence. In the midst is Nurse Brenna who is featured in this series of Angel of Mercy Series. I loved the historical information given in the story and how if you let it hatred can ruin your life.
As much as I liked the storyline, I can't say I liked the reason the story came about.
After what Breanna had just promised/vowed in the previous book, and then here she was again, already, leaving Colorado, by herself. Sure, souls and lives were saved in the process, but I was still disappointed in Breanna for having left in the first place.
Al Lacy is great at telling stories full of history and exemplifying the grace and mercy of God. These books are full of drama, action and suspense that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat!
