Another great read for my spiritual journey! In my reading of witchcraft books so far they all mention picking a patron god/dess to dedicate spells and rituals to or draw energy from. This is all well and good, but my knowledge of gods and goddesses are limited to what I've read of Rick Riordan and the various other fantasy books I've read that involve them. So Gabriela has written this amazing book that details the numerous goddesses throughout history, what they signify, and how to worship them. I learned that I identify most with the Dark Goddesses Lilith, Morrigan, and Hekate. I love reading these books. They are really helping me further my knowledge and understanding of this way of life. All the stars to Goddess Energy! I have one more book of hers to read, and I think I'll have to get her guided journal for next year!

Honestly, Gabriela Herstick never ceases to amaze me. The way she writes is approachable, down to earth, and informative, while also maintaining a sense of mystery. She packs so much information into her books with an eloquence that I could only dream of having.

Goddess Energy is your one stop guide to an deeply informative overview of the assets of the Goddess and Her many faces. This is a great place to start, or continue even, your practice being devoted to or worshipping the Goddess. It also contains multitudes of tarot spreads, journal questions, and affirmations to support you on your path to the Goddess. I feel so prepared to start working with and learning more about Goddesses after reading this! Definitely recommend for entering your Divine Feminine.

This is not a great book if you just want to understand the background and philosophies of the divine feminine - it's meant more as a guide for how to become a devotee of certain goddesses which is not what I was looking for. It's kind of half mythology book, half instructions for doing meditations, creating alters, and dabbling in magick. I should've read the overview more carefully.
