John is my first cousin once removed! I met him my first time at the SBC and we were standing in the middle of a surprise Steven Curtis Chapman concert.

He gave me this book because he said writing books is majority handing them out to people not selling them hahaha

The biblical truths he intertwines with the simple things in life is refreshing. And a lot of his notes are for pastors and things I’ve already started experiencing (like sheep biting, music style being distractions or aids, shepherds not being fire fighters). But there’s also just sweet little life advice too.

What an edifying and thought provoking read! As was John's goal, this book provided, "practical advice and encouraging proverbial statements" that I found applicable to my everyday life. Sticky Notes was a well-organized collection of advice, including ways to improve your relationships with your friends, family, and creator. Most importantly, this book pointed back to scripture and encouraged me to think for myself about many important things of life.
