I'll tell you what I thought when I come back :)

Well, although I thought this would give me a good helping hand around Iceland, really the things I needed weren't in it, and what was in it could be gained from any resource, including just turning up in Iceland and booking a tour. So if you want a quick guide to the major sights, and to help you decide whether you want to do the north coast as well, then it's a useful pocket guide.

Maybe the era of the pocket guidebook is over. On the other hand, the Lonely Planet Pocket Venice was superb.
