Stella has been hidden away from supernatural society, sequestered in her wolf shifter pack as a half-breed dhampir orphan, the knowledge of her existence hoarded for a chance at her untapped power.
An accidental meeting with her mate exposes the secret and sets her on a dark path of pain and betrayal foretold by a prophecy the wolf elders have kept to themselves. Hidden agendas, political intrigue, and a desperate bid at freedom conspire against Stella at every turn.
When it appears that she'll fall to the same circumstances that left her an orphan, fate gives her a new avenue of hope. But she'll have to be strong enough to grab onto it to pull herself from the pit of despair her unfaithful mate has cast her into.
What happens when a girl who has been oppressed, reviled, called an abomination and treated worse rises up to take destiny into her own hands?

Emma Cole is a multi-genre romance author covering everything from dark and light contemporary to paranormal and sci-fi. Almost all of her stories are, or will be, from the reverse harem subcategory, and none of them skimp on the heat.
I'm not gonna lie, I'd be cool if Riddick never made it back to the group 😅 I can't wait for Roman and Stella to complete their bond. Hopefully, that will fuck with Riddick A LOT🤞
Riddick likes to act like a martyr, but in reality, by the end, he was not much better than his brother. I was ecstatic by the turn of events.
Can't wait for the second book( thanks a lot, Kelsey 🙄)

In this world, wolf shifters and vampires are mortal enemies.
Stella has been shamed and hidden from the real world and because of that, it created a domino effect of The Council thinking The Silverlight Heir (a shifter with magic abilities) was dead. Well, she’s not. But her fated mate has been promised to someone else. Riddick is a man who’s filled with great guilt but a man who feels obligated to do the right thing and goes through with his arranged marriage. It kills them both to keep separated but his duty comes first. He’s got a plan.. even if it kills his fated mate. Stella has never been shown love. Ever. Her life has been hard and it’s one blow after the other. He mate need to produce a heir with his other mate… it’s torturous.
Stella is forced to have a few guards around her. They vow to keep her safe and their first priority. If she needs to feed, they are there. To train? To run in wolf form? They are there…. Or maybe to mate with…
This book was full of angst and was just so good. It kept me reading and it does leave off on a cliffhanger.
Spicy scenes are minimal but yummy. Full of world building but not overwhelming. An arrogant mate but one that is doing what he thinks is best for the future. And guards who claim Stella… ❤️🔥
Well this was f**** up … and coming from me it means a lot.
I’ve read dark romance but this story is … f*** up.
I hated the start and the middle of the book : a poor girl gets rape because of who she is. There is suicide and the story starts all over again.
The FMC is treated of spoiled child when she says she is not ok with her mate marrying another woman and sleeping with her … WTF.
I love men saying « you don’t know the whole story … » … well tell her the whole story you asshole because she is a grown women or don’t be mad if she can’t stand your face.
And don’t start me on her « mate » … what selfish asshole.
The end was better … I will let you see why. I will maybe read the second book.
Don’t read the book of you are triggered by rape, suicide, asshole mates, machismo bullshit.
I really don't do this lightly, but this is irredeemable to me. This is a fated mates, but the MMC goes against everything that makes fated mates special. The FMC even continues to call him on his bs, yet he actively knows he is causing her undeserved pain. He also never sticks up for her in the way a fated mate should fight for her. He keeps trying to say he cares, but then can't do the ultimate show of caring by letting her go until the last 5 pages when it is a little late for that.

This book wasn’t for me. Maybe it’s because it started with the fmc’s mom living a completely caged life as she was assaulted repeatedly and treated like garbage, to the point where she forfeited her life to save her baby. The baby that she got through dub con, like because she didn’t want to do it but as it slipped in she got turned on that made it cool. Then literally her baby was subjected to almost the same life only without the $exual assault. It was just constant day in and out her soul mate was forced to mate another and it just got so darn repetitive I almost just wanted her to jump out the window like her mom did. Mind you her “mate” and guards were supposed to be her mom’s mate and guards. So that was pretty cringe so a bunch of older dudes making decisions for her.
The fmc has all these untapped powers and she just acts so sad and pathetic. I don’t know her redeeming qualities. She’s also got an entity that steps in like 15% of the time. Idk this book was just such a train wreck I really don’t know how people are rating it so high. Legit the only thing going for it is the cover.
The story was so, so, so choppy that it made it confusing as hell. I had to re-read whole sections to try to understand parts of the plot, but it didn’t help. It was very confusing at times. No character development either. And the characters were shitty. To start with, the guards and fated mate were supposed to be the FMC’s mom’s mate and guards. 🤢✋🏼 Cringe. Especially after you sick weasels didn’t protect her or help her. Fuck that. And the MMC saying “we’re not related!” We got from ‘well I’m her uncle’ to ‘fuck yeah my mate’ in a matter of seconds. No. That’s a hard pass. The MMCs were all douche canoes with no redeemable qualities. At one point, the MMC said, ”This is why women shouldn’t be in charge.” 😐😑😐 And then zero change to that attitude. After the borderline incest. Just. No.

Absolutely smashed this book! Putting a new spin on fated mates and taboo-not-taboo reverse haram. The thought that a commonly used niche could be expanded on further makes me happy, not once did I get bored with this one. From what was a boring night at work scrolling TikTok seeing a video promoting this novel, I regret not reading it as soon as I added it to my library; it would have greatly improved my night! I wish we could give point ratings instead of stars because it was nearly a 5 star for me; small things let me down and it's a personal preference rather than anything wrong. I found that the FL was a tad juvenile in her handling of some situations, and it annoyed me enough that I remembered then throughout the whole novel. Other than that, pretty happy with this one! I can't wait for the next instalment, Emma Cole - you should be proud!

Omg! I still want more need to know what happens now. I loved this book it kept me turning pages and I can't say that about many books lately. As far as mates go Riddick was not good enough at all. Well that was until he finally did something selfless. But will she ever see him again since they are true mates?
The council needs to be taken care of, but then are the Vampires going to treat the Heir any better?
My love for this type of OW drama is chef’s kiss. This book was fast paced and an epic start to the series. I’m so sad to have to wait for the next book. The betrayal and pain was so good, my heart clenched at times. I hope that the grovel is well matched. Thank you Emma Cole for a great read and bringing me back from my MAJOR reading slump!
*****SPOILERS***** enjoyed this book now that it FINALLY came out! I really hope it doesn’t take so long for book 2 to emerge because this storyline line is pretty good. I hope our fmc becomes the bad@$s that she totally deserves to be and that the voice that’s been using her as a host isn’t actually some sort of villain in disguise that would totally suck. Not sad to see that pathetic excuse of a mate leave…seriously using her money to buy…..treating her like….hope his___never works again….read the book you’ll find out 😉 One thing I really hope book 2 has is more of the other characters POV. I can not stress enough to authors that only having mainly one character pov(this book had a few chapters with other’s POV not many)we as readers are missing a chunk of the story only getting one pov. Can’t wait to see where this cast of characters takes us in the future. Cliffy wasn’t too bad.
Oh wow this book was a killer read!!! Stella (FMC) is the Silverlight Heir a unique being that holds a lot of power and should be revered but instead she's been used, abused and cast aside by everyone including her pack. I genuinely wanted to hug her with everything she went through in this book. I really wanted to punch Riddck for his treatment of Stella and his attitude in whole. As for the rest of the guys I'm waiting to see how they play out in future books. That cliffhanger ending was a corker!! I enjoyed reading this book so much. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series now.
She's done it again, another heart wrenching story that has me wanting to throw my phone across the room. Scream and cry for the heroine and the circumstances she has no control over. I love and hate this story, all in the same breath. Ms. Cole breaks my heart with the crushing sense of despair I feel for Stella. With each word on the page twisting my gut in knots. Before I'd even gotten to Stella though, my eyes were brimming with tears of rage for Mari. The heartbreaking scenes leading up to the end of the prologue, had me ready to fight every person that only served to tear her down. I am excited for the continuation of this story, although I am unsure if my phone will survive.
Stella has had such an awful childhood, it’s a wonder she’s resentful of her fate. This tale of political manoeuvring by her knights is getting interesting in their bid to escape the machinations of the pack elders. Riddick her mate is between a rock and a hard place but I still don’t like him, his choices or his treatment of Stella. Her other knights seem a better proposition, especially Roman and Cyn. Looking forward to finding out what happens next after her escape with her guardians. An amazing start to a fantastic new journey that Emma’s taking us on.
Geez this FMC is really trying my patience. I’m gonna have to take a break and walk away for a bit. She refuses to understand anything about what is going on and only is concerned about herself. How many times has the MMCs explained that there is a lot going go (I don’t want to into detail) but they are trying to make everything work. She won’t see anything from the guys POVs. Even thou she wasn’t spoiled she still has the attitude. She finally has people caring for her (even thou she’s not really noticing) she’s acting like a total brat. Shut your mouth, open your eyes and listen & feel what the guys are saying and not saying, you stupid cow! Ok rant aside, going to read another book for a little. lol.
Wooo! Tbh I wasn't sure I was going to like this book, but I stayed up til 3am reading this book. Loved it, though don't get me wrong the FMC could do with a slap but I loved it. It's enough of mix of triggers then builds the story. Your heart break and heals all on one..... But you felt this cliffhanger was definitely coming, though I didn't see that end with the bonds though! I am shocked at that. Can't wait for next book!
I went into this book thinking it would be good, it bypassed my expectations and was seriously AMAZING! I would highly, highly recommend this book.
I loved Stella (FMC). She has been shunned all her life and still had that spark and unwillingness to give up.
The guys were great. One of them I wanted to slap a few times. The others were a little slow to really show their feelings, however as the reader you could feel them.
This is a definite must read, like all Emma Cole's books.
This was really good, and I’m really looking forward to Book 2.
I Give This Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.
Zero Spoilers!
Cliffhanger(?): Yes! Relationship Type: I Believe it’s > MFMMMMM-M? Heat: 2.5/5, but it fits the s storyline Romance: Slow Burn which makes me happy, 3/5. Drama: 4.5/5 Suspense: 4/5 Pacing: Mid. Dark(?): Not to me no, at least not yet.
This tale sucks you in right from the painful beginning. Experiencing the heartache of Stella's beginning, her turmoil as a mate, and subsequent suffering are difficult. However, it quickly became the read you need to see where her determination takes her and the men the fates gave her. Cannot wait for the second!
Loved this book, Girl wolf called Marianna who is Silverlight Heir escapes her prison of sorts and gets caught by vampires who have sex with her, then she gets “Rescued” gets caught up in Alphahole who takes two wives but keeps Mari locked in a bedroom suite that he wants to keep as a concubine even though she is the Silverlight Heir and if she is mated properly she passes her powers to her mate(s)type situation but his first wife the Luna of pack has to get pregnant first but Mari gets pregnant first and the both the Luna & Alpha aren’t impressed so he brings a doctor to her who keeps a check on her & her pregnancy little does the Alpha know she is pregnant with a hybrid and he organises for her to be drugged and take the baby away from her but once baby is born she is kinda feral with fear that her baby is in danger, so once the baby is born she protects her as best she can but they dart her and take the baby away from her, so she kills herself to protect her daughter… yrs later the Daughter Stella has been sequestered away the whole time as an orphan and an abomination.. the wolf council come back to the pack lands and a chance encounter finds her in front of them they find out she wasn’t dead & they take her away…. New scenario Stella is in seems similar to her mother but she is not and it gets better… now can’t wait for next book….

This book was so good it had me hooked from beginning to end! When I read the Blurb I thought it sounded really interesting & I was not disappointed! The storyline & characters are brilliantly done. This book takes you on roller coaster of emotions! And that cliffhanger!!!! 😭 I'm anxiously waiting for book 2 because I think it will be even better than this!
Emma has done it again. Her stories grip you in a way that make you crave some more. Stella didnt have an easy life amd an obstacle every way she went. I can't wait for book 2. I need more!!! I must know what happens!!
This book was so amazing. I was hooked at the prologue. The story , the female lead, the men have been amazing. I can't wait for the next book I need to know more.
As with all of Emma’s books this is an absolute must read! I’m usually not a fan of shifter books but this one knocked it out of the park for me. I can’t wait for book 2!
This book had me up all night. Can't wait for the next one. I had been searching for my next series and about lost it when I finished and couldn't find the next one.lol Will be waiting impatiently for the next. Thank you Emma Cole you have another book stalker.
Stella isn’t your average wolf. She is the Silverlight Heir that when mated will hold a lot of power. The problem is that her mate is supposed to mate another and the council is trying to get her power for themselves. I can’t wait for the next book. The plot is interesting and flows well. The character development is amazing and allows for future growth.
This was so enthralling, I read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. That cliffhanger.... whew. I have so many questions... There were a lot of heartbreaking moments in this story.
I could not put this book down! So, so good! I cannot wait for book 2!!
Stella is the Silverlight Heir, hidden from the public from birth. She finds her fated mate, only to have him follow through on a betrothal with another from before he found out they were mates. He refuses to let Stella go, but follows through with the mating ceremony to his betrothed. As he attempts to consummate and seal the mating with his betrothed, Stella is in pain and can sense and feel each attempt. As she struggles with her fated mate mating another, her guardians step in to help her through the pain. Half wolf, half vampire, her needs are different than the others and she has her “entity” to guide her. The council wants Stella’s powers so they are looking for any reason to force her to the citadel. This book ends on a cliffhanger!!
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I truly loved this story!!
Spice: 1 ⭐️ Plot: 5⭐️
Overall: 5 ⭐️
