And now, I want to kiss him again.

Logan
What was I thinking?
Under duress, I agreed to let my sister’s best friend stay in my spare room.
Only four weeks, she’d said. And that was twenty-eight days too long.
She’s wreaking havoc on my carefully ordered life. I like order. And there isn’t one aspect of Allie’s life that’s ordered.
But when she needs my help to deal with some unwanted attention, her bad habits turn seductive. And it’s hard not to want to keep her close … and safe.

What a great story. I loved the deep dive into both Allie & Logan's childhood. I also loved that they were secretly pining for each other and masking it with their taunting.

I loved that Allie was able to bring out the young boy she remembered in Logan. Also that she was able to see through his moody grumpiness to the real Logan. I know it's cliche, but I loved that Logan was able to bring safety and comfort to a very independent Allie. Sometimes, even the strongest women just need someone to hold them and let them know they are not fighting alone.

...

Childhood friends until a birthday kiss that didn't turn out the way they both wanted.
Now they find themselves as roommates, will they give into temptation or will they push each other even further away.

An extremely spicy romance with plenty of suspense to keep you reading chapter after chapter.
Allie & Logan are explosive together, whether it's through banter or their panting dropping orgasmic chemistry. They were made to be together.
No amount of drama could keep these two apart.

Logan and Allie are the best mix of enemies-to-lovers, friends-to-lovers and best friend’s brother. They had me engaged the whole time I was reading.

They had been friends since they were teenagers til something happens, gotta read to find out what it is😏, that moves then from friends to kinda frienemies. That stays that way for over a decade. But I gotta say it gives the best banter.

Then you throw in the forced proximity and that banter gets even better. Though seeing these two fall in love and find each other again was so sweet. I just adored them both together.

I was surprised with the little suspense action you get as well.

I've loved reading the Carlson series, and this one did not disappoint.

Logan comes across as a complete hot grump, but he is just trying to hide his attraction to his sisters best friend Allie, they have known each other since they were kids, but when Logan kissed her when they were 16 and he thought she rejected him because she didn't feel the same, he has not wanted to admit his feelings all these years later.

Now, he has agreed to let Allie be his roommate for a few weeks while she waits to move into her apartment. They constantly snipe at each other, but when he finally decides to play nice, he finds he can't stay away and wants to protect her at all costs.

They find they can't keep their hands off each other, but Allie's past is coming back to haunt her.

Loved this book, gave me all the feels, their relationship was a complete rollercoaster, and I loved every minute reading it. Another fab read, thanks, Cate.

This was a cute romance story, but the suspense stalker element really ended super flat, which was disappointing.

Cate teased us with Logan and Allies story from book one! And she really saved the best for last. Logan Carlson is grumpy, it's just his personality and what makes him even grumpier is his temporary roommate and sister's best friend Allie. She is messy, gorgeous and full of sunshine.

Allie is back in New York and starting the next chapter in her life... unfortunately she needs to stay with her best friend's brother temporarily...and they don't exactly get along... especially since Logan tried to kiss her when they were sixteen.

What to expect:
Sister's best friend
Enemies to lovers
Forced Proximity
Suspense

I read the second book in this series and had to pick this up when I saw it out. This is Logan’s story. While he’s more of the studious grumpy one, Allie, is more of the outgoing, type. Both of them have known each other since they were kids. I’d certainly say that this is more of a slow burn contemporary romance. Some steam, but overall a nice quick read that I enjoyed.

loved Logan and Allie’s Story

I am happy there is a bonus epilogue because finding who was responsible for the threatening text was not conclusive and lackluster. Until I reached the end I actually loved their story.

Truths

This book is really good. It's a love-hate romance with a bit of suspense . This series is a must-read. They all have a happy ending with no cliff hangers .

Another great story about the Carlson Dynasty. All three books are well written and I encourage others to read this trilogy.

Well-written and easy to read. The 'suspense' turned out to be nothing much.

First time reading this author, probably the last. Boring read. Neither character interesting. Even the stalker situation was anticlimactic.
