First few parts of the arc wasn't thrilling for me, was somewhat hard to push through and I felt like I was even absentminded eh, but closer to the ending of the arc, I woke up and I saw tears, damn that was all totally sad, amazing, the last part made me add another 1 star, it was fucking amazing!!!! screaming in my pillow AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
'congratulations you've become god first believer' he's Tawil most devoted believer🛐
THIS ARC HAS ME SOBBING I am by no means in an emotionally stable state as I am writing this review, but since I will be continuing with the upcoming arc, I might as well write the review now.
I want to beat up Bai Liu so bad, I swear. He never stops giving the viewers, as well as us readers, a near heart attack every time he enters the game. EVERY TIME HE HAS TO BE ON THE VERGE OF DEATH TO CLEAR THE GAME. Like, please think of your own health as well.
NOW, can we all please take a moment to appreciate the following scene? Because I, for one, had to screech into my pillow like a dying cat so as not to wake up anyone while reading this scene at the ungodly hour of 12am.
"'So why are you saving me, Tawil?' Bai Liu whispered, 'I don't remember making a deal with you that would cost you your blood.'
Tawil's face was completely covered with thorns, but his voice came out smoothly, 'Your existence itself is worthy of everything.' 'Bai Liu,' Tawil's voice was flat, as if he was declaring something sacred and unknowable in the church. 'You are my only believer. God has to unconditionally fulfill all the requests of his believers.' Tawil said.
'If I really am your only believer, then please save me, Tawil, my God'"
I am sobbing. This scene gave me life and then proceeded to crush it right in front of my eyes. We got to see Tawil's background a bit, and there was a bit of foreshadowing regarding Bai Liu's future.
I just want to say that I have mad respect for the author, who was able to come up with such a complex world building and write these fleshed out characters. Even the side characters that are briefly mentioned, or just have a minor role, have their own backstories and motivations. Which really makes me appreciate this story and author even more.
All that aside, I have to say that I am reeeeally looking forward to seeing more of Tawil. He is so sweet and lonely. He deserves a hug :')
One more note before I bring this review to an end: Tawil Jesus, y'all Every time the statue was mentioned, I couldn't help thinking of this pfft
Also, here is a fan art of one of my favorite scenes from this arc (all the credit to the artist)
This arc was definitely longer and a bit slower than the first two, although by no means full with unnecessary plot. Everything counts I’m in this story!!!! Im completely hooked!
Here some extracts from my fave and most romantics dialogue (I mean… also the only ones between the couple 🤣, at least in this book):
"I love your body heat and I hope the next time I see you, you'll give me more of it." This out of context is 🔥 Tawil
Now, some serious ones 🫢
Tawil's face was completely engulfed in thorns, but his voice was not: "Your very existence is worth everything I have to give." "Bai Liu." Tawil's voice was calm, as cold and solemn as if he were proclaiming some sacred, unknowable, once-in-a-lifetime vow in church, "You are my only believer."
"If I am indeed your only believer." Bai Liu said in a scattered tone, jokingly, "Then save me, Tawil, my god."

Holy Christ this arc was DIFFICULT in the best way. From the whole "hey let's join a league" turning to "hey i have a guild now" not to even mention the whole Bai Liu mini???? I was holding my breath for so much of this. Mu Ke clucthed up and came through. I was sad over Liu Huai's death but yknow what? Finding out Jiyai is the Little Witch was amazing. I'll admit I agree with some people saying the beginning of the arc was a little slow, but I think it's justified considering just how much set up you need to execute something on this scale. Another absolute masterpiece. Bai Liu becoming Tawil's only devoted follower reminded me of TGCF; there are many similar ideas that can be executed in unique ways, and the whole "god and devoted believer" concept always has a wrench thrown into it, whether it be a ghost king or, in this case, a man who fears poverty over death.

3rd arc is charity love welfare. Ill be honest, i didnt like this arc that much. It went on for way too long and was pretty confusing. Honestly the characters of this arc just annoyed me and i didnt enjoy it as much. Still no romance
