The beginning took a moment to grab me, but after the main introduction of Kai and Riley had finished and the story itself began to develop I could not get enough!
The characters were all well developed in book 1 for us to get a grasp of who each of the key players in the story are.
Kai is easy to fall in love with, especially with his possessive and protective nature. Riley is the world's greatest big sister who only wants to make sure her younger sibling has what she needs and is as happy as she can be in the world they live in. She makes the best of her situations and fights like heck when cornered.
I loved this story and looking forward to the next book! I definitely recommend this for fans of billionaire, stalker, or mafia dark romance lovers!

Amazing! I really enjoyed reading this book and I’m so happy I was fortunate enough to get an advanced copy! I love a good dark romance book and this one is even better because there’s an actual plot! This book does end on a massive cliffhanger and I needed the second book like yesterday 😂 I can’t wait for book 2!

I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book. I have to say, I couldn’t put this book down. Every chapter kept me hanging in suspense and I just had to keep reading. I loved the relationship development between Kai and Riley, and as for the cliffhanger…let’s just say, I NEED book 2 now!

The start of these girls lives are a sad beginning and this pushed Riley to live on the streets with her little sister.. trying to survive..
they make it to Hallows Bay where Riley gets a job as a stripper… she would do anything to try and give her little sister the best life that she can..
Kia is the King of Hollows Bay and everyone knows to fear him or pay..
that is until he sets his eyes on Riley, the one person with so much sass that all he wants to do is have her.
So he makes her an offer she can’t refuse…
But this offer is more deadly than either of them realise…
And we are taken on a ride if lust, love death and pain.
This book had me hooked from the first page, I love how Riley takes no nonsense, even when she is scared, this girl will fight for it all.

This is the first dark romance book I’ve ever read and will certainly not be my last. I love it when I read a book of a genre new to me (the kind of genre that isn’t for everyone) and I love it so much that I fall in love with the characters too.. that it makes me want to read more of this genre!!

Wow where to begin. Riley is a strong amazing woman doing what she needs to do for her sister. They had it tough growing up. Riley was going to do whatever necessary for Angel to be given everything even if that meant going without certain things. Then Kai just dang. He is hot!! I’m loving the connection with him and Riley. She is a little firecracker. I can’t wait to read book 2 to find out what happens. I loved all of Kai’s men and I didn’t think that was how it was going to end.

This is one fast paced heavy read, with a lot of action and spice that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. Make sure to be aware of your TWs.
Riley is a strong willed, stubborn and spicy character. I love that there is a strong backstory to her life and that gives us an idea of who she is and why she is protective of her sister. Riley has had a rough life and has spent the last few years being the sole provider for her sister, Angel. I like the dynamic between Riley and her sister.
Kai is controller of Hollows Bay and has a new obsession and her name is Riley Bennett. Kai has your typical mafia boss attitude. He owns everything in Hollows Bay, including the police department. When Kai sees Riley dancing one night, he knew she was going to be his. You will see the danger Kai brings to her life, but also the love he feels for her. He's hot as sin and knows how to make her scream in the best of ways. There is quite a bit of mystery as he's trying to find his brother's murderer.
I loved the chemistry between Riley and Kai, I loved their banter back and forth. It is that banter that fuels the physical connection between the two of them and leads to some really really spicy moments. These two are perfect together. All of the supporting characters are well developed as well.
If you love dark mafia romance, I recommend you read this book! This book grabs you from start to finish and leaves you with such a hole in the heart. Be aware this book is part of a trilogy and does end in a cliffhanger. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book just to see what happens next with these two. Definitely worth the read!!!

Honestly, this was a tad darker than I thought it would be but I guess I haven't read a true adult dark morally gray romance book. Don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed it. The characters have depth, fun banter, and there's an interesting plot (aka not just smut for smut's sake). I had a little bit of trouble "falling in love" with Kai in the very beginning but he really grew on me; Riley was easy to appreciate from the start as strong providing figure for her sister. Overall, would recommend if you're okay with the TWs. This book is part of a trilogy and does end in a cliffhanger. I'm pretty excited to see what the second book has in store!

Awesome debut!
Just finished this one after it was recommended by one of my lovely alpha readers, and I really enjoyed it.
The book contains dark themes, so always check the triggers, but for me, it was quite a light read, which probably tells you I spend a lot of time reading (and writing) dark romance. 🤣
I think as well because we had smut and action over pulling on the emotions, so I guess that's what I mean by light. It didn't pull through the ringer in that way, but I thoroughly enjoyed experience.
Kai is an alphahole, and don't we just love us one of those. Riley ... Well, I'm always going to love an FMC who's completely devoted to their younger sibling.
We left on a cliffy with the promise of violence and revenge to come, but do they have the real bad guy? I'll leave you to decide when you pick it up.

This book had sooooo much potential. But I really had to drag myself to 36% and honestly it just isn’t working for me.
The FMC’s inner thoughts were bitchy towards other women at the start and it really grated on me, the MMC was no better and the fact they both used similar words it made him look just as bitchy.
The plot itself had so much promise. Two sisters, one trying to make ends meet for the younger sister who is deaf, catches the eye of the King of the City and is blackmailed to stay with him.
Unfortunately I just disliked bothe the MMC and the FMC and couldn’t see it getting any better..

I gave up. I tried and tried to like it. Too wordy. The book could have been cut by a third. It got a bit silly that this “king” of the city would let a stranger (woman) live who threatened to go to the authorities just because the woman he was attacked to said that the stranger would keep his secret for a price. Give me a break. Once the money would be gone, that woman would be back asking for more favors. I loved the premise but the execution was weak. It felt forced. Disappointed.

Absolutely amazing! This one is in my top 10 books I have read this year. I will be waiting ever so patiently for the next book. Kai and Riley are amazing together and that cliffhanger at the end had my heart racing. I was hooked from page 1 and just couldn’t put it down. The spicy scenes are amazing and the sexual tension between Kai and Riley in the beginning made me look forward to the time they sealed the deal.

Instantly drawn to her, he will do anything he can to own her, even if those means are deviant and unethical to most, but hey no one said he wasn't the devil walking.
I loved the chemistry between Riley and Kai- there is such a great banter back and forth between these two that hooks you right from the beginning and keeps you turning each page to see how they are going to get under each other's skin next. It is that banter that really drives the physical connection between the two and leads to some really really spicy moments.
All of the supporting characters are well developed as well. You get the sense of a found family between Kai and his men- at least the ones he lets in his inner circle and almost explicitly trusts and that found family eventually translates to Riley and her sister. That sense of found family really makes the cliffhanger so devastating because while a mole was insinuated during this book, you really have no idea who that person is and when it hits you as the reader, you wonder just how you could have missed all of the clues that brought you to that point.
This is one fast-paced, action and spice heavy read that will keep you hooked from beginning to end and is one that I can't wait to get my hands on the next book to see just what happens to these two.

Whew. This was a wild ride.
Riley and Kai’s story is such an amazing dark romance. It’s definitely in my top 3 that I’ve read lately!
Riley has gone through so much in life and she’d do anything to make sure her younger sister, Angel, has the best life possible. Even if that means making a deal she’s not 100% confident in.
Then there’s Kai. The alpha male. The wolf in charge. The man that owns the entire town. As soon as he sees Riley he knows he’s got to have her — make her his.
Riley is determined not to make anything more of this deal than the fact of making sure her sister has the best life. But as she spends more time with Kai she finds it harder and harder not to let those feelings she’s been pushing down come to the surface.
I loved so much about this book.
I love Riley’s sass & bantering with everyone. I love her dedication to Angel.
I love that Kai is all touch her and 💀 when it comes to Riley. His possessiveness & obsession with Riley was 🥵
Not to mention the sexual tension & chemistry between them! 🥵
The side characters were also written very well. I loved that there was a good plot behind the spice and romance that was evolving.
Also.. the ending. WHAT?! I neeeeed book 2! Like yesterday. 🤣
Collide is book one of a trilogy and is also a debut novel from @e.k.hunter2019. It does end on a cliffhanger, so keep that in mind.

Here I go again not reading the book blurb or summary and jumping right in. This book will take readers on a ride. Riley Bennett and her little sister Angel were on the run after their mom died. Riley knew system would separate them and she could not let that happen. She took what little money she could find and hightailed it out of there straight to Hollows Bay. Now Hollows Bay, like all towns, has a good and a bad side of town. The good side is really good. No homeless people are allowed. Riley steers clear and makes a life for herself and Angel in the bad side of town. After being put out on the street again, Riley decides to take a job at a strip club. She is finally able to keep a roof over their heads. Angel is in school. They are getting by. Riley is a stripper with standards - no nudity and no private dances. Riley enjoys dancing so performing comes second nature to her.
Kai Wolfe runs Hollows Bay. He is searching for the person who killed his brother. This leads him to the strip club the Riley is working at. After he sees her dance, Kai knows he has to make her his. He gives her protection detail while he is discovering everything he can about her. Unfortunately it is not much but he knows he can find something to dangle in front of her as bait. I loved the story of Riley. She's strong and willing to do anything she can to take care if her younger sister. Insert Kai, a dominate mafia boss who, while trying to find answers for the death of his brother, stumbles upon Riley, and the obsession starts instantly. Kai is King of Hollows Bay and feared by many. He's tough, but I loved seeing how soft he was for Riley. He would do anything to protect her. This is a slow burn, so the spice was minimal, but what was there was so hot, and the sexual tension was high 🥵.. I can't wait to see it progress.
This story was well written and paced perfectly to keep me hooked. There are many twists and turns to keep you guessing. E.K Hunter left crumbs throughout the book, letting you think you know where it's heading, but then drops a cliffy like it had and now who the eff knows where it's going!! I loved all the characters. Especially Danny and Miles.. so much so that I was wishing a lot of times that this was a why choose 😅.

Collide? More like Mass Fatality Collision!
Once I started this novel, I could not put it down. I finished it in less than 24 hours. Be sure to check content warnings. This novel has a ton.
We’ve got so many tropes here: instalove (lust?) billionaire, mafia esque, age gap, kidnapping and forced proximity etc..and although it’s slow burn, there’s some really good spice.
Riley is a young woman with SOME standards, working in a strip club to support herself and her younger, deaf sister. Growing up in foster care after the death of their parents, they’ve got no one but each other. Kai is The King of Hollows Bay, out to solve his brothers murder. Kai happens into the club Riley is working at, requests a private dance and makes her an offer she can’t refuse.
In the beginning I wasn’t a fan of Kai. I liked his support characters a lot more than I liked him lol! The plot is amazing, the story line keeps you guessing, Riley is a damn sassy FMC and in the end, I found an appreciation for Kai.
Damn good dark romance. Sequel is coming out soon!!

The structure and writing of this story were exceptional. While there are a lot of mafia stories out there, I felt that this one was unique in how it is written and presented.
Riley is a strong-willed, stubborn, and spicy character and I see a lot of my own personality in hers. I love that there is a strong backstory to her life and we get to get an idea of why she is a tough protector. The way she protects her sister is endearing and how she talks about giving up everything she can to make sure her sister is safe and has a happy future is both tragic and admirable.
Kai has your normal mafia boss attitude, but knowing that his love for Riley can bring him to his knees is powerful. He has the reigns on everyone else in his organization, but he would do whatever it takes to make Riley

I finished reading this about a week ago and have been writing and re-writing my review in my head since closing that book. All my brain keeps saying is I NEED MORE!!! Riley is our FMC and she is doing whatever she needs to do to care for her much younger sister since they had become orphaned and escaped from being put into the system. Kai is the head of a mafia and after a chance meeting, become obsessed with her. Because of this, he preys on Riley and makes her enter into an agreement which puts her right beside him with promises of a brighter future. As we know, brighter futures don’t come easily.
The book has a ton of angst, amazing steamy scenes and will put you on a wild emotional rollercoaster. There was nothing I didn’t like about this book but I absolutely loved this dark story that had me gripped from the start. Please check the trigger warnings as this is a darker read and you need to be prepared.

Wow. This book has left me on the worst cliffhanger ever, how, why, what now..... Absolute fantastic read. The passion and the heat between Kai and Riley 5🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ He is a broody, domineering MMC who is completely obsessed with Riley from the first time meeting and seeing her, and he does everything to make her his, including help for her sister Angel. Riley you have to love her, she doesn't keep quiet, and always pushes Kai to a point. And all the while Kai suspected the wrong person of betrayal, oh my word, I really thought it was who he suspected, the way this character treated and spoke to Riley, well it was definitely a shocker to me when my suspicions where proved wrong.
Absolutely well done on a fantastic book, I hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book cause this cliffhanger has me pulling my hair out😂. Loved this

I FUCKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
These two are perfect on page and I couldn’t put this book down!!!
Knowing that this is part of a trilogy I knew that some things wouldn’t be resolved and that the ending wouldn’t be an HEA and that’s not a deal breaker for me. I knew what I was getting into.
Riley’s storytelling is what pulled me in. The way the author writes her “voice” as the narrator to her own story is FUCKING GENIUS! Riley is funny af and is the definition of resilience. I love how when Riley loves and allows herself to feel she loves and feels HARD and so does Kai. They couldn’t be more perfect together or for each other!
Kai thinks he can get Riley out of his system but spoiler alert that’s not what happened! 😆

This book is SPICY!
Be warned that it is a slowish burn but when it does happen it buuuuurns!

The book starts off a little slow, but soon quickens up and leave you hooked. I must say I really enjoyed the read. And when I found out the book is part of a planned trilogy I screamed. This cliffhanger has me on chokehold and I can’t wait for book 2. I really recommend this book to any mafia dark romance lover!
