There aren't many substantial Rexx books out there, this is one of the better ones.

Pros:

+ Broad coverage of Rexx in all its uses and incarnations
+ Tons of programming examples
+ You can download it for free (just google it)

Cons:

- Given its broad scope, even at 700 pages, it doesn't delve into specific areas especially deeply

So I go into work on a Thursday and get the news that as of Monday I'll be sole support for 80-odd Rexx programs. I'm thinking... what the heck is Rexx?

This book saved me. I just followed its examples and caught on pretty quick. Rexx isn't particularly hard, as long as you have so many examples to follow.
