Brian and his parents move into a spooky house whose previous owner was obviously a witch, and quite soon strange things start to happen. After a frightening encounter in the cellar, Brian's cat catches the culprit, a bored household imp. Now Brian has to devise some way of keeping him under control! Ages 6-10.
Some of the prose felt clunky, with sentences ending abruptly or dialogue being hard to attribute to who was speaking. I think the author was trying to keep sentences short, which humorously actually made it harder to read at times.
