Scoring free passes to the elite Club 66, Carl invites his best friend’s sisters, whom he believes he can score with as well. At the club Addison finds herself alone with Carl, who is obnoxious, loud and way too friendly for her liking. He gets the brilliant idea to crash the VIP room where the owner of the Club, Master Vallore is having a private party with his friends. After a little spat with Addison over his roving hands, he gets kicked out by the bouncers, leaving Addison alone-but not for long. She soon catches the eye of the rich and handsome Christian, who quickly sweeps her off her feet with his princely charms. But there’s a huge problem-Christian is a vampire, a very dangerous one and soon she finds herself plunged into his world, a place she doesn’t want to be.
I've read the blurb and thought I'd give it a try. I really like the author's different take on vampires. More brutal and bloodthirsty than you'd see in your average Paranormal Romance Books featuring Vampires. It's something else and I was okay with it until the main male Character, Christian killed Addison's sister, basically just because he can. It just felt wrong on so many levels, especially Addison's reaction. Instead of hating the person she's stuck with for the rest of her now very long life, she's more worried about Christian being pissed at her. That's the point where I stopped reading and I doubt I'll pick it up again. There is just so much regarding the story and characters that do not make sense to me. I got to around halfway through the book and it's never really explained in what kind of world the story is situated. It almost seems like Vampires are governing body over the human population. But how come and why? Maybe all this becomes clearer towards the end but I think that's something that should be explained earlier.

I have to say the author has a good writing style but the plot and the Heroine are flawed. The Heroine seems really weak and whines all the time. What I can't understand is when her Vampire Lover kills her sister (and she loves her sister) because he is jeallous and she doesn't listen to him, she drinks the blood of her beloved dead sister just to make him happy. In this Scene she acts like a kicked puppy without a brain.
I hoped for a good read after reading the first pages but I was dissapointed.

I don't read a lot of vampire books, and the ones I do read are usually young adult (The Vampire Diaries, Twilight). So, from these books and shows like Angel, I'm used to the hot vampire trying to be good. For me, Christian being bad was a twist, and I liked it! Christian pulls Addison into his dark, sexy world--it's new and exciting for her. I'm trying to keep this spoiler-free, but there's a scene in a church that's especially powerful. Addison both fears this new world, but she's devoted to Christian.
