Leigh has decided to leave her boyfriend. She had rearranged her life to be with Darren; she had quit her job, moved to his town and into his apartment. Now’s he’s changed. He’s no longer the sweet lover, but has become a jealous, drunk and abusive boyfriend. She’s planned and saved and after a party, just two weeks away from the day she’s decided to leave him, she’s attacked and kidnapped. About the author

Jennifer Cloud was born in Asheville, North Carolina. There she met her husband who encouraged her to write after finding a partial manuscript. She now resides in Missouri with her husband and two daughters.

She is the author of many novels in both print and electronic versions. She's also had two dozen short stories published and many novellas.

She also writes as J.L. McCale
