The wacky world of June Average

Rate this book
Hi, My name's June McCarthy

I'm 13 years old and I'm (wait for it) AVERAGE! Average height! Average weight! Average width! Average Grades! Average Everything!

Is there anything worse than being average? I wish there was something unusual, or even weird, about me. A big nose, out-of-control hair, bizarre clothes or a mean stare would do.

I mean, everyone has their own speciality. My friend mary can stuff two bags of sweets into her mouth. Now that's talent!

Me? I can't seem to find a special quirk that'd give me a ticket out of Averageville. Maybe the world's just not quite ready for me yet..

The Wacky World of June Average made me laugh lots, it's an excellent insight into how young teenagers view themselves, others and life in general. Its worth considering that the author wrote it at 13 years of age and self published it a bit later making no change to the original text .Its a punchy , random, thoughts on paper type little book and I would recommend it for kids who need to lighten up and not take themselves and the world so seriously! Watch this space!!
