October 22, 2013This book pissed me off so much I don't even know where to begin.
Beau and his two friends moonlighting as gigolos (read=whores), bedding older foreign women and their sex was showed in great details. I think I threw up in my mouth a little. I do believe such content at the very least should come with WARNINGS in mm romance books. Then it was said how Beau was kind of a free spirit and his parents wanted him to go to the university, but he wanted to be a musician, so he left home and what? Did he start study music in earnest, did he start a band and tried to get some gigs, or something along these lines? No, he, Eden and Roberto all lived together in one-room apartment, didn't even have cell phones and earned their meagre living playing the same songs on the streets and bedding rich tourists.
Cody's super-uber secrets were just ridiculous. I mean making pigeons sample your food to check if it's poisoned? Really? It's been like a bad 60s movie.
I liked the idea of Cody and Beau: 18 yo age difference (yum), an older, experienced, world-weary spy and young and naive street musician falling in love. It's just my kind of story, but unfortunately the execution was so bad reading it was an exercise in frustration.
I wanted Cody and Beau's story, not Cody and Beau+Eden+Roberto story. I get they all are 'like brothers', but nothing in the blurb indicated Beau and Eden's 'bromance' would include mutual masturbation even after Beau met Cody. More than that, after meeting Cody Eden had said how he would like to fuck Cody too and came on to him. Cody refused, but struggling with himself and his cock. Later on they had a threesome and they kept sleeping in one bed and I wanted to throw my e-reader out of the window.
Then Cody killed his ex-lover and 'retired', so he could provide and care for 'his three men'. The end. WTF was that?
Totally frustraiting book, that failed to deliver on every front.

THE UP'S, THE DOWNS. THE TWISTS, AND THE TURNS. THIS STORY HAS IT ALL. I ENJOYED THIS BOOK. A MUST READ.
