They have three lovely children, Cara, Faye, and Benjamin, and have always had a menagerie of animals in the house, which at the present is confined to two endearing and very comical dogs who would make a great double act on TV! The children, friends, and pets all keep the house buzzing and the food cupboards empty but Helen wouldn't have it any other way. She still lives today in Northampton with her family. Although having enjoyed some wonderful holidays abroad she has never been tempted to live anywhere else, although she rather likes the idea of a holiday home close to the sea one day.
Being a committed Christian and fervent animal lover she finds spare time is always at a premium, but long walks in the countryside with her husband and dogs, meals out followed by the cinema or theatre, reading, swimming, and having friends over for dinner are all fitted in somehow. She also enjoys sitting in her wonderfully therapeutic, rambling old garden in the sun with a glass of red wine, (under the guise of resting while thinking of course!)

Her first novel was for Mills and Boon and was accepted after one rewrite in 1992 as Helen Brooks, and she passed her driving test (the former was a joy and the latter an unmitigated nightmare!) She has written 50 novels as well as several sagas as Rita Bradshaw.
Since becoming a full-time writer she has found her occupation one of pure joy and often surprised when her characters develop a mind of their own but she loves exploring what makes people tick and finds the old adage "truth is stranger than fiction" to be absolutely true. She would love to hear from any readers care of Mills & Boon.

"The Irresistible Tycoon" is the story of Kim and Lucas.
Another sweet HB book with
-A kind and caring brooding hero, this time the heroine's boss
-A jumpy heroine, having being scarred by love and marriage before
-A sweet daughter Melody
-Heated glances and kisses
-Loads of pushing away and cruelty from the h's side
-A loyal and pursuasive hero who takes it all in and falls in love with her
-Mild drama in the end
-HEA
I did enjoy it, but as usual I wish the heroine was a bit more accepting- however I did understand it in parts because of her past.

لازلت أهوى قراءة روايات أحلام لأنها الصورة الأولى التي تبدأ بها كل قصص الحب إما في الروايات المغايرة أو في المسلسلات التلفزيونية أو حتى في الحياة العامة بابتذال متكرر
قرأت لهيلين بروكس منذ خمسة سنوات سأبكي غداً و بهرت بها للدرجة التي قيمتها بعلامة كاملة ، خمسة نجوم منذ خمسة سنوات خلت لكن الأمور الآن باتت أثقل و المعايير أمست نظرية
هيلين هنا توغل في وصف ذكورة بطلها ، تحركاته ، القميص العاكس لجسده المفتول ، رجولته الفيّاضة ، تحركاته الخفيفة ، قسوته ، صلابته ، مقاصده في القلوب لكنها تهمل البطلة ، تركنها على جانب خافت و تجعلها سنيدة للبطل مهما كانت ارتكازات القصة تتمحور في فلكها أو تكاثرت الشخصيات المتصلة بها ، تهمل وصف ما تستقل به عن البطل و تنصرف لسرد اختلاجاتها معه ، تغض عن شكلها و أنوثتها و غوايتها و تركز على رغبته الشفيفة في مطارحتها الجنس
حينما يتغلب الموصوف صدفةً على ما يجب وصفه واجباً تغدو الكتابة ارتجاجاً ، ربما نستطيع تخفيف اللوم عليها بمعرفتها طبيعة المرأة مما لا يوقع عليها وصفها و رغبتها باستكشاف الرجل عبر سرده لكن الكاتب الحقيقي يعير نفسه للجنسين دون أن يغلّب أي منهما على الآخر فلا دخل للميول الجنسية في الموصوف ، يستطيع الكاتب الرجل أن يصور العضلات المفتولة ، زغب الصدر و تقاسيمه ، انتصابات الاستثارة و حجم القضيب ، الشهوة الغلمة ، لحظة القذف و سماكة الحيامن لأنه رجل عليم بأمور الرجال من نفسه لا لأنه مثلي بالتوازن مع تصويره ارتعاشات المرأة ، دقة خصرها ، كثافة شعرها ، وضوح مفرقها ، نهودة ثديها ، بروز حلميتها ، عضة شفتيها ، لدانة ربلتي ساقيها ، نعومة عقبيها و ماء نشوتها السريرية دون أن يكون في هذه الحالة زيراً لهن
هذا ما تخلفت عنه هيلين بروكس هذه المرة منحازة لوصف الرجل إما خبرةً أو فضولاً أما محتوى الرواية فلا يعدو النجمتين ، مادة مناسبة لليافعين و اليافعات خالية من الصراحة الجنسية حيث أن أجرأ جملة في النص برمته تموضعت في الصفحة ١٢٨ عند السطر الثالث
" أراد مني أن أنام مع أحد زبائنه المهمين "
فليؤولها الغر منهم على أنه مبيت حنون لدى مريض بالحمى و الملم منهم على أنها حفلة بيجامات .
