Rate this book
Series Info: Cassiopeia "Pia" Alexander is just your typical college student. She can't pick a major, her love life is virtually non-existent and the only thing good in her life seems to be her job as an Animal ER Nurse.

Beylin Callaghan is one of the Brotherhood tasked to give souls a winged-ride from one life to the next, and to remove the memories from each soul so that they can start with a fresh slate in their new incarnations. But he's keeping a secret-- a secret that when exposed, will bind Pia's fate to his own. For better or worse.

Episode Two Info: Pia's has had a rough few days. She fainted at work, she's being stalked by creepy black birds, and her dreams are becoming increasingly strange and alarming. Then she meets Beylin, a handsome charmer with ice-blue eyes, and things start to look up. Way up.

But he's got a secret. They've met before, and more than once. Will she remember him before it's too late?

Crow: Episode Two is novella length (approx. 10,000 words) and is the second installment in this (NA) new adult fantasy series. Subsequent episodes will be released on a monthly basis and fans are encouraged to visit Alex's website to influence the outcome of the overall story.

Born in the Deep South and raised right over the Mason Dixon line, Alex grew up feeling unsure where she belonged. That is, until she met up with a traveling Freak Show one fine day. Now she celebrates the unusual and appreciates how interesting life can be when you (ahem) open yourself to unique situations.

Residing in coastal Virginia, Alex spends her days wrangling words and children, and on occasion a sassy cat (or three), a bull-headed Labrador, or her old, cantankerous horse. Her husband has figured out that toeing the line is easiest in the long run. He’s a smart man.

Full Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from the author, via LibraryThing, in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts: I feel like I need to have some sort of disclaimer pointing out that I’m extremely impatient when it comes to any kind of series release. Waiting for the Harry Potter books to come just about killed me. Not that the Crow series is like Harry Potter, but the waiting is what connected them in my mind.

Pia is an interesting heroine, but there’s something about her that I just don’t like. I don’t know if it’s because each episode is a short story, but she hasn’t impressed me or reacted in a strong/independent way. Not every female character needs to react that way, but they’re better role models when they do.

These are short stories, so it’s weird that I kind of feel like the plot is dragging. In reality, it’s not. There’s just something about the build up and being forced to wait for a new episode that I think makes it seem like it’s too long.

Overall, Crow: Episode Two was pretty good. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed and it’s doubtful that I’ll go out of my way to pick up Crow: Episode Three. If you’re a fan of reincarnation stories or of the previous episodes then I would recommend Crow: Episode Two. If neither of those describe your reading habits, then you’ll probably prefer to skip this one.

Beylin has found himself within her arms again and though he knows itis against all the rules he just cant seem to leave her be. Even death cannot seperate them. This is a series of stories that the author has taken up and plans to realease a new story each month. He needs to come on and get some more out there.I have read the prequel, 1 and 2 I loved this story!!
