Set 20,000 years into our future, this high fantasy/hard science-fiction trilogy spins around Ticca, a young female mercenary out to make a name for herself, and Lebuin, a new wizard seeking the knowledge to become a master wizard.

Ticca is becoming the great mercenary leader she was born to be. Lebuin has overcome many of his fears. Yet Ticca still doesn’t understand what it means to be the great leader she must become and Lebuin faces an even greater challenge having to choose his true path. Together with an elite team of warriors they must find the key to stopping the seemingly undefeatable Nhia-Samri mercenary nation that is decimating the alliance kingdoms in the war.

Shar-Lumen, the insane elf-lord leader of the Nhia-Samri, attacks the leaders of the allied nations at their meeting burning the imperial capital cementing the war in place and forcing the gods to come out of their realm to take direct action. As the alliance struggles to assemble its combined armies, thousands die on both sides. Duke and Lord Dohma of Aelargo fight to give Ticca and Lebuin time to discover Shar-Lumen’s secrets needed to stop him.

The solution isn’t what anyone expected. To stop the war Ticca and Lebuin must put their lives on the line knowing one of them will likely die. Thread Skein delivers surprising twists and action packed adventure making it a masterful nonstop thrilling conclusion to the Golden Threads Trilogy.

Thread Skein is a 168,400-word epic fantasy/speculative sci-fi novel and the third book of a trilogy set in a distant future consisting of both high technology and magic.

I live in the Emerald City (Seattle, Washington) with my beautiful wife and seriously idea-inspiring son.

The first half of my life was "wasted" (as my mother said once) on endless hours of roleplaying games. I was also an avid science-fiction/fantasy reader. Then real life came along, and I had to earn money. I joined the US Navy to "see the world". The Navy trained me to be a computer scientist, and I got to see Chicago, Orlando, and San Diego (not quite the world, but a fun chunk of the US).

With my personal time I worked on "more important" projects (aka my long-running table-top games). For all the gaming time (roleplaying, table-top, and video) I spun stories about the games just to add color. I told my friends the stories and even wrote some of them down on paper. Everyone enjoyed it and said I should publish game modules. (I did, but, only for friends.)

After twenty years of thinking, I should publish I finally got serious in 2012, pulling out all the notes and ideas stored away, and set down to learn how to be a professional writer. I spent 4 to 8 hours almost every day reading on how to write, exploring the publishing world through articles and books. I liked the idea of being an "Indie Author" so I started chatting with more and more Indie authors developing some wonderful friendships. They encouraged me and in only a year of hard labor, I had my first book and enough materials for dozens more ready.

I learned that I get as much joy from writing my books as I do from reading books by other authors. My goal is to be a full-time author. For now, there is the reality of mortgage, student loans, and family.

By day, I'm the humble code janitor, endless pushing my digital broom around cleaning up the electronic crud messing up the brilliant halls of the internet. At night, I help people take fantastic trips of the imagination.

If you like, Fantasy and Science-Fiction feel free to drop me a note I'd love to hear from you. I am still an avid science-fiction/fantasy reader and enjoy finding new books and authors to talk about and friends to enjoy talking about such things.

Thank you for being interested enough to read all this.

It took me awhile to get into this book. It really started off slow and switching between characters so frequently when all I really wanted to know was what was happening with Ticca. Once I got into it I couldn't put it down.

So I have a debate going looking for other opinions a friend believe Shar Lumen just gave up and let Ticca kill him do you agree or disagree?

Also I think Shar Lumen is the person who came back and released Klissa however my friend believes it was Vestul thoughts?

Terrible effort

The first book in the series was remarkable. The characters were very well developed and the plot was intriguing. This one was simply terrible. He put no effort into plot, character or nuance.

Great fantasy novel

I love this rich world, and the fascinating characters. I kept thinking about this book when I wasn't reading it, which is a sure sign of how much I love it.

OK, so, I was eagerly awaiting the rest of Ticca and Lebuin's story. This book was a great continuation of events, and it was well written and entertaining. Leeland had great characters such as Duke, who really made me laugh, and Ticca as a fierce warrior woman was fantastic. I felt though that the end of the book really didn't clear up some questions, nor finish the story. To me, the end was a disappointment because it left too many things unsaid. This book gets a 3.5 stars from me.

The story that started with Ticca and Lebuin first meeting finally reaches its conclusion in epic twists and surprising choices. I loved the depth of the characters-Duke is my favorite-and the setting has all the details of a greater world. Not all of the plot lines are tied up nice and neat, but I like that because it reminds us that Ticca and Lebuin's story is just one part of the infinite flow of time. The trilogy as a whole is fun and engaging and I truly enjoyed it.

Hells yeah. What an epic book to end the series on and those twists and turns caught me by surprise so much that disbelief of the characters and their exploits actually caused me to enjoy immesnsely more than before.

Thank you for such a brilliant book

Peace out

This book did wend up the story arc but I found it a slog to get thru. I'm sure there will will many who love this and I will read what comes next since there were obvious lines for new stories.
