G. Kołodko carries us out through this interesting economical topic. I think he wants to encourage us to think more about surrounding world, dig deeper and he shows us simple financial mechanisms that dictates countries situation. He tells what is happening and why things are happening. He goes through all the continents, retrospectively, historically teaches us how the things are. I write "things", because there are so many topics he writes about that is hard to list. I think, every person should read this book, everyone who is at least concerned about their own financial situation or their nearest background. I think that this basic economical knowledge helps to avoid anger and feel of hopelessness when it comes to next election voting. If every person on this planet would read this book we would have much better place to live. Economical, political self-consciousness is highly raising after reading this book, in my opinion. Yeah, as the first sentence in this book says "To everyone". I agree that every person on this planet should read "Wędrujący Świat".

This book is what you could expect knowing who Prof. Kolodko is:
* in terms of credibility & essence (knowledge content) - great quality
* in terms of form the knowledge is passed within - it could be more concise and focused :)
* in terms of being interesting and revealing - I like some chapters a LOT (for instance: the neoliberalism one), but some were pretty dull (example: the one about the future at the end of the book)

To summarize - it's a good book. Especially if you can accept Prof. Kolodko "broad" style :)

P.S. Author has aimed to create a book about economy for non-economists. In 95% he succeeded, but quite a few times I've seen references to macroeconomics phenomenons that could use a bit of additional description.
