Good girl Lindsay Cramer has her life completely in order, and she keeps her goals on a checklist -- obtain scholarship to Ivy League University, finish undergrad, and move on to med school. She’s worked hard to get where she is, and she’s determined not to let anything – or anyone -- get in her way.
Until she meets Justin Brown. JB is gorgeous, and the kind of guy who is all wrong for Lindsay -- the kind of guy who is all wrong for anyone . He drinks, he fights, and he has a secret past Lindsay’s not so sure she wants to know about.
But when the two of them are together, Lindsay can’t help but lose herself in him. It’s the way his eyes burn when he looks at her. The way his smile makes her dizzy. The way his hands feel on her body.
Soon, Lindsay and Justin are completely addicted to each other. But when their dangerous game culminates with Lindsay having to make a shocking choice, will she be able to keep JB in her life? And if so, will she lose everything in the process?
***RELENTLESSLY RECKLESS is the sixth episode of a new series, ADDICTED TO YOU, with episodes releasing every week. It is for a mature audience, due to sexual situations and language.***
Episode 6, still no kiss. This is getting better and better. I am ticked off, Ms. Covington you are two weeks behind. I thought they were supposed to be released weekly. Now I have to wait for episode 7. :(
At this point I might not even finish the last installment. Lindsey is just downright stupid and JB has some serious anger and possessive issues. Basically this is a short series about a small time girl heading to Boston to start college and a Boston local whose into MMA fighting, meeting and falling instantly in love. While they don't say they are instantly in love they act like. For example, Lindsey meets this totally nice college boy day one and becomes friends with him. She also meets JB that first day at the hospital as he's getting stitched up after being in a fight. He makes snide comments about her friend getting worked (and unlike JB he was not in a fight) and when Lindsey pulls the curtain back to confront him suddenly she is struck silent by this guys looks. Okaaay... anyway, she then proceeds to hang out with JB who becomes all possessive (even though they are not dating and are only friends) so when she mentions she's going to yogurt with her new friend Adam, he shows up there and makes a scene, when she follows him out to calm him down he gets a call and has to leave and she just LEAVES WITH HIM and does not even bother to take two steps into the yogurt shop to apologize to her new friend. Who does that? Not someone I would want to be friends with.
This whole time JB obsesses about how much he wants her but does not want to bring her into his world. I agree, his world is not place for a girl with her potential (although to be honest I would not want her being my doctor) and life goals and since Lindsey is too much of an idiot to figure that out herself even though she almost looses out on an internship, gets in trouble with a teacher WEEK 1 and gets written up TWICE by her RA because of him, he at least realizes that maybe he should walk away. But he doesn't, instead he asks her to sleep in his bed every night but doesn't kiss her or make any moves. Then in the morning has a mental flip out and is all rude to her. She leaves hurt and then he comes back with some lame apology in the afternoon and of course our brainless heroin goes right back to his house to snuggle. Ugh!
Then they "break up" even though they are not actually dating and he sleeps with someone else. Then when she finds out she gets him all hot and bothered and then freaks out and does not want to hook up with him even though she made a big show of not caring about the girl to her face. My head is spinning just writing this.... UGH.... anyway. She snuggles with him again and then in the morning he has his flip out and we are back at stage one. In the meantime his life is a mess and he makes all these dumb ass decisions based on his ego and what not.
Basically overall I find this series a real waste of my time. The characters are immature and boring and I don't feel any chemistry between them so I'm totally confused as to why they want to be together so much. Their conversations aren't even that interesting and heartfelt. I can't stand Lindsey and have no real love for JB either. This is the sixth out of seven books in the mini series and I don't think I will be finishing the seventh book. This review sums all the books so far.
I am not going to rate these books. I really like the story so far, but think it is ridiculous that that author is selling 50 pages at a time for 2.99 each "book". I would not have continued to read the story if I didn't have a credit at b & n...
Don't start this series because by the time you are done -- it will cost over $15.00 to read. Books are 45 pages -- 29 pages -- 45 pages -- unbelieveable. Don't start it at all.
And still no kiss... Holy fuck this is the only book that I've ever read where there's nothing but attraction and flirting going on... I love it!! Brooklyn is a scumbag just saying!
