Marie Elizabeth Josette Freeland is seventeen, an only child and a little bit of a loner. Okay, maybe a lot a bit of a loner. But she wouldn't have it any other way. Raised by her single mother and grandmother who whole life she relates more with "the originals" in her neighborhood. Thanks until Max Anderson shows up.

Tall...check, dark...check, handsome...um duh, check. With perfect skin, perfect teeth and more than perfect body. He smells like nature at its best; fresh cut grass, honeysuckle and summer rain. He's also wild about Josette.

An attack on Josette set the wheels turning for an adventure right out of the pages of the books Josette is always reading and love that every fairy-tale will rival.

What can I say about Lupa...Well I loved the actual story but the writing needed some help. It was something that if written properly with spelling errors corrected and if it was either first person or third for the whole story not both would have been close to perfect. Like I said love the story who wouldn't. Here it is you have a young almost adult girl who is stuck in a rut she see's herself going nowhere. No real friends no drive to go and seek any happy with her books and single mom. Then comes the new kid who is a young woman's wet dream hot, sweet, and devoted. Now throw in some paranormal shifting and some familial betrayal and secrets, throw in a near molestation possible rape and murder; as well as finding strength and love when you need it most makes this story great. Just wish it was more refined and didn't seem so rushed(cause I can see this book as part of a really good series if the writer decides to go that way). Also kinda left hanging in the end you just left it no retribution just "He Left"...Killing me with that.

It was a very good story but it is written very badly. Don't get me wrong, I loved the actual story but there were bits that just didn't make any sense. Trying to figure out what it was supposed to say and mean really put me off and kept me from being immersed in the story. Also the fact that it kept going back and forth from first to third person was really annoying. It would be an amazing book if it was just in third person and the author took more time to write it, didn't rush it and had someone proofread it for her. There are so many spelling and grammar mistakes and bits that didn't make sense. If it weren't for that it would probably be my favourite book. I would still love for it to be part of a series because I loved the actual story and it kinda - no it really - leaves you hanging at the end. When I got to the end I read it and then I'm like 'Where's the rest?' I would seriously love for this to be the first book in a series and I would definitely read them all even if the spelling and grammar is shit.

Good book but poorly written I loved the characters and wish it ended better. Spellings should have been corrected to make it better but I love the book
