Lawyer Alaina Simmons never imagined that she would be defending her deceased father against accusations of terrorism when she agreed to protect his legacy, a group of documents he’d placed in an archival repository. FBI Lawyer Donovan Prentice insists that her father and the organization he worked for were terrorists and that crucial evidence is in the documents Alaina has sworn to protect. Now she is forced to combat the FBI and her compelling attraction to Donovan Prentice while unaware that she is also Donovan’s suspect.
Special Agent Donovan Prentice is working undercover posing as a lawyer in an attempt to gain access to the evidence he needs to convict a group of terrorists as well as determine if Alaina Simmons is working with them. Things become complicated as Donovan becomes more intent on getting his suspect in bed than putting her in jail.
When the bullets start to fly and the lies begin to unravel Alaina and Donovan begin to explore their intensely sexual relationship, but the couple will have to learn to trust each other both in and out of bed before the terrorists’ game of intrigue can end.

This book contains steamy sex scenes and amusing banter.

I fell in love with the cover of this book the moment I saw it and once I read the burp, I was hooked and had to read it. Then I discovered that Trust me was Anna Wells first novel and I can honestly say, A JOB WELL DONE, Anna!!!

Alaina Simmons is a lawyer who is defending her late father against accusations of committing act of terrorism and she is running late for her appointment to meet the FBI Lawyer in charge of the case. On top of that, she needs to stop by the store to pick up something for the raging headache.

She becomes so pre-occupied with getting the meds and the fact that she is late, she runs right smack into the most gorgeous man she has ever seen. He, right down to her core, instantly affects Alaina and she allows herself a few minutes of flirting but then she is off and running once again.

As she is getting ready for her meeting with the FBI, Alaina starts having regrets for not getting Mr. Drugstore’s phone number. She doesn’t have long to think about it, because her 9:00 o’clock appointment has arrived.

Enter, Mr. Donovan Prentice, AKA Mr. Drugstore himself. The bantering between these two delicious characters was oh so entertaining. The sexual tension was through the roof. One minute they were debating the merits of the case and the next they were fighting to keep their hands off each other.

What Alaina doesn’t know, is that the meeting in the drugstore that morning wasn’t an accident, because Donovan is really an undercover agent and Alaina is a suspect in the FBI investigation with her father. He has been following her for weeks.

I adored our heroine, Alaina, she was a sexy, strong, confidante and smart women. I also enjoyed the fact that both Alaina and Donovan acted on their desire for each other, while knowledge that they were on opposite teams when it came to their legal case. They were able to separate the two. Personally, I feel the angst between Donovan and Alaina was at a minimum, which is refreshing to read.

The pool scene between Donovan and Alaina was simple, SIZZLING!!!!

However, what would happen once Alaina finds out who Donovan really is and what his real purpose was?

Or what if Donovan discovers that Alaina isn’t as innocent as she appears.

Was her father the criminal mastermind behind terroristic attack on US soil?

And to top everything, someone is trying to kill Alaina.

Just when you think, you have it figure out, Ms. Anna Wells pulls a fast one, and throws in another twist.

As I have stated before, if you looking for a Smoking Hot, suspenseful romance, then TRUST ME by Anna Wells is the perfect book for you.

What could be worse than bumping into a drop dead gorgeous man while buying meds for a hangover and acting like a hormonal schoolgirl, when in reality, you are a poised attorney late for an important meeting? You guessed it-finding out that drop dead gorgeous man is the attorney you have a meeting with, he works for the FBI and he is investigating your late father’s possible involvement with terrorist activities. Trust me by Anna Wells is a fairly quick read with a perfect blend of character tension, attraction, flirtation and friction!

When Alaina discovers her late father is suspected of subversive activities and Alaina holds the power to release important documents the FBI needs, Donovan Prentice is NOT a welcome adversary and the sparks are flying! When Alaina’s life is threatened, she must learn to trust Donovan, even after he has been less than honest and total evasive with her about his investigation. When he comes on to her with all his charm, can she trust he is being honest or is it a ploy to get on her good side?

A touch of intrigue, some mystery and lots of great dialogue and romantic tension, all fill the pages of Anna Wells’ take on contemporary romance. Ms Wells writes with fluid grace, a quick wit and heats the romance to boiling with ease, leaving just enough inner conflict going on in her main characters to leave me smiling, knowing these two are right for each other! The pace is smooth, with just the right ups and downs in the emotional battle between love and law!

If you are looking for romance and hot sex scenes then you will be satisfied with this book. I love romance and sex as well as the other readers, BUT I also want a plot, a serious story and I want the hot scenes to have meaning. I am not at all interested in a book just because it has page after page of sex with no substance. Trust Me, gave me a story plot that had me trying to solve the mystery regarding her father from the beginning. What I found most refreshing, I didn’t have the mystery solved chapters before the solution was revealed. I adore that in a book. When I can sit back and say “wow I didn’t see that coming” then to me it is a five heart book. Anna Wells has the talent of giving just enough hints to keep us guessing, yet not enough information to solve the mystery on our own.

The flow is easy to follow, you can tell the author did her research. Once again a sign of a five heart book when I don’t have to stop in the middle of the story to try to figure out what they wanted me to “see”. The characters are adorable, yet real. I laughed at the banter between the characters, I adored the “extras” in the story. They were important to the plot but didn’t over shadow the main characters. There wasn’t an abundance of unnecessary angst, what was troubling them was believable and both characters came across as strong-willed and not a victim of each other or of the circumstances they found themselves in.

I highly recommend this book and am very thankful that the author asked me to read and review. Once again I feel like I came out on the winning side of this arrangement. I will certainly be interested in reading more of Anna Wells books in the future.

I took a chance and bought this book by Anna Wells, who I have been following on Twitter. This is her first novel and boy is she off to a great start. It's a romance/suspense novel that keeps you guessing whodunit and why right to the end. It is about lawyer, Alaina Simmons, who is committed to defending her late father against accusations of terrorism and Donovan Prentice, the FBI lawyer who wants access papers he believes are crucial evidence incriminating the organization to before his death. I enjoyed the storyline which is intelligent and well researched. The heroine is smart, sexy and confident. The banter between the characters is witty and entertaining. And it is oh so steamy!!!!

I have been reading an ARC and am about 3/4 through the novel. The warnings are correct: this is hot & steamy. Their attraction is unmistakeable and undeniable. And the banter between the two is humorous, almost to the point of foreplay. Completely fitting with their lawyer personas. The lawyer personas also come trust issues. There is a lot of deception and misperceptions which have shrouded them from their first meeting. Can their minds overcome that distrust to follow what their hearts already know? Give me a few more chapters and I'll get back to you on that one. After a cold shower.

Truly suspenseful ... twists and turns to keep you guessing never knowing till the end who the bad one was. Amazingly written.. FBI Donovan Prentice is hot yet coy'd.. determined and passionate about his job.. then there's Alaina Simmons the lawyer.. sexy passionate and at times unable to see or know the secrets her family holds .. these two get together and kaboom. Truly a great read.

Wow! I received a copy from the author and I fricking loved it! Omg the characters were all fantastic. Alaina was such a strong female character. She was smart, witty, beautiful and had a sense of humor. The girls was the entire package. One line that had me bust out laughing was "why am I on the pill when the only person I have sex with is myself?" I could not stop laughing. The story line was so fantastic and believable in this day in age. I will try not to reveal any spoilers but it will be hard. Donovan is a sex god and a smart FBI agent. This story was faced paced and had enough action but it wasn't overly done. It was so believable. Another character I loved was Elise. Her relationship with Alaina was so close to how my relationship is with my friends. They are so relatable and easy going. I loved everything about this story! Great sex but great action too. I think early on I did have my suspect in mind but the story had plenty of twists and turns to keep me turning the pages. Donovan and Alaina would make an awesome crime fighting team! I wouldn't mind reading more about these 2. Love loved loved this book! I actually used the highlighting feature so I could go back and reread some of my favorite lines! Thank you to Ms, Wells for sending it to me!

Anna Wells kindles suspense, lust and daring in her readers in this debut book. Lawyer Alaina Simmons and FBI agent Donovan Prentice know how to create heat and mystery in equal doses. Who is Donovan really and why is he following Alaina? What does Donovan know that Alaina doesn't in her family background? And why are they so hot for each other?
Once the two hit the sack, readers will be desperately trying to recreate that heat in the comfort of their own home (or at the drugstore - your choice!).
For a well-written, highly entertaining original read, I highly recommend downloading Trust Me. I couldn't set aside my Kindle but be prepared for a steamy ride.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I don't like to rehash the storylines during a review, so I'll skip all that. The overall plot was a good one, but the character development for Alaina and Donovan fell flat IMO. The first few chapters were entertaining, watching the dance between Alaina and Donovan. Even their first encounter at the DC hotel was pretty damn hot. After that it got a bit weird. What would you do if the person you got hot and heavy with across the country was sitting outside your house when you get home from said trip? No matter how hot the guy is, I'd be damned weirded out if he's sitting on my porch when I return home.

What happened outside her house is the catalyst for her having to stay at a safe house, with Donovan as protection (cause who didn't see that coming?) Although it was kept legit by having a female agent also staying there, Alaina and Donovan still found ways to bump uglies (although the scenes were hot). So after the safe house, Alaina's back at home but then figures out while talking to her BFF that at one point Donovan wasn't sure if she was a suspect in her father's organization. Of course that prompts the breakup scene, although Donovan was all creepy by totally ignoring the fact Alaina wanted nothing more to do with him, since he lied to her (all part of the job, ma'am).

One last traumatizing event occurs that has Alaina calling on Donovan for help and pretty much sets the stage for the resolution.

Not a bad read overall, I'd like to see a story about Alaina's BFF Elise.

Aliana Simmons is looking out for her father's last wishes. She wants to make sure she maintains a historical record as he wished but when an attroney for the FBI comes knocking for information, she does what she does best- stand up for the law as she sees it. Donovan Prentice needs access to those papers that Aliana's father entrusted to her, but she is not going without a fight and he intends to win. He can not help but believe that there is crucial information within them that could help identify and name those who are involved in terrorist activities within her father's organization.

While Alaina and Donovan work their way in and out of court, they soon realize that Alaina is in danger and without identifying those behind it, Donovan has to expose himself as an agent to protect Aliana. The suspense portion of the book was very easy to identify and that made me sad, I knew who the main suspect was very early on and when it was confirmed I was disappointed because the legal aspect of historical papers and their protection was very interesting.

Aliana and Donovan have a strong pull and their time together was a good read, but the whole- I should/shouldn't was very tiring and exhausting. A quick, suspenseful read

I was given an ARC for an honest opinion..

This book was really interesting. I liked both the main characters in it. At first I thought someone else was the bad guy and couldn't understand why no one else was suggesting it but in the end it made since.
The Hero was a great guy if a little soft around the edges but the heroine was strong at first then she got a little weak but when something tragic happens she toughens up.
There was lots of drama intrigue and romance in this book. Some really good sex scenes as well. Overall this was a good read and I am happy Anna offered me to read and review another one of her books. I really enjoyed it.

*ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

**3.5 Stars**

For a debut work, I thought Trust Me was pretty good. The plot was exciting and you can tell that the author has done her research with this book. I also personally loved that this book's setting was set in San Diego (one of my favorite cities).

I enjoyed the pinch of suspense that was provided in this story to keep you reading and guessing. I also enjoyed the amusing banter between Alaina and Donovan. They did seem realistic to me. However, as for the chemistry between them I felt it was more on a telling basis rather than showing. When I read about a couple in a romance novel, I want to *feel* their attraction and their chemistry radiating off the pages rather than being told about it. Thus, it was harder for me to grasp that with Alaina and Donovan.

I liked that I got to spend plenty of time with Alaina and Donovan in Trust Me. With this, I did see their relationship flourish throughout the story. Donovan was sweet and I felt sorry for him when Alaina kept giving him grief about lying to her. Woman, he was doing his job! But, I guess I can see why she would feel that way since she was deceived by her own father. I had no issues with Alaina throughout the story, but kind of got fed up with her towards the end when she kept pushing Donovan away and claiming that she wanted nothing to do with him. Yet, she kept having sex with him and claiming that what they had was just physical and nothing more. She just came off a bit unlikeable to me by that point.

I had also hoped that the ending would hit me with more impact considering the whole story was about Donovan and Alaina trying to discover who was behind the terrorist bombings and embezzlement. Yet, the ending fell a bit flat. When they did find out, it all ended too easily and way too fast in my opinion. I was left saying, "Really? That's it?" But, we were left with answers and a happily ever after so it did kind of wrap up the story nicely.

Overall, Trust Me did keep me entertained even though I did have some minor issues with the story. There were some spelling errors and a few missing periods, but not anything huge to make me want to throw down the book. Now, I am intrigued with Elise and Agent Dominic Casavetti. I hope they'll get their own story. If you like Romantic Suspense served with erotic love scenes, check out Trust Me by Anna Wells. I think you'll enjoy it.

I don't know about you, but I think the FBI, the CIA, and all those covert surveillence organizations are really scary. It is mind-boggling to know how much others know about us and I think most of us cruise through life in denial because it is just too scary to think there are people out there that are keeping tabs on us. This is a novel that proves that point. Two lawyers, one is the daughter of a man the FBI wants to connect with past terrorist attacks, and the other is an undercover field agent/lawyer who has been keeping track of Alaina for months in order to prove her compliance with her father. The meet accidentally (?) in the coffee bar and it is not until much later that Alaina learns that Donovan has been following her and their meeting wasn't accidental at all.

This is a sizzling love story with unbearable attraction between these two but overwhelming odds against their ever being able to have a long-term relationship. There are some characters that are moving about in the gray shadows behind the scenes and they only make their appearance at surprising junctures in the story. It is also a mystery complete with espionage and murder, witness protection and all the fear and upheaval that go with that situation. It is a story that causes the reader to wonder if these two can ever really learn to trust. Alaina loved her mother and step-father; she wanted Donovan in her life but couldn't figure out how that was going to work; and she grew to love her biological father who disappointed and hurt her after abandoning her over two decades earlier and came back into her life. Was his attempt to bond with her all part of a scam? The reader is left with a lot of questions until late in the book -- the very best kind of mystery.

This is a new author for me but I have to say that I really loved the book and was impressed with the deft touch the author demonstrated in telling this story. It was put together so well. The sex was hot but did not ever overwhelm the larger story. It truly was the spice that lifted the story and gave it the vibrancy of a sizzling romance. Most of all, both these main characters wanted to trust, to believe one another, to believe that their instincts were on and that their emotions weren't crowding out the logic they needed to resolve the situation and find the bad guys. The characters were multi-dimensional and were created to have the look and sound and "feel" of real life, real people.

This was a really fine read and one that deserves to be read and appreciated. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour in exchange for a fair and honest review. I did not receive any additional compensation for my opinion of the reading material provided.

Two lawyers deeply attracted to each other, a father’s secret documents, and the rule of government versus one’s personal privacy are all key elements in Anna Well’s Trust Me. Well developed characters, scintillating dialogue, and plenty of chemistry kept me turning the pages to discover what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the mystery and found the timing of Ms. Well’s topic apropos.

Young and attractive, Alaina Simmons is kept busy with her career as an attorney. While her real life and legal cases aren’t as exciting as the attorney’s on TV, Alaina is satisfied with what she does. It just doesn’t leave her much time for a personal life. Meeting an attractive man by “accident” at the drugstore is a surprise, discovering he’s her morning appointment and is the opposing counsel on a personal case …….not so much.

Donovan Prentiss knows everything there is to know about Alaina Simmons. He just didn’t’ realize she would be more beautiful, and intriguing, in person. Unable to resist the temptation, Donovan flirts with Alaina during a “chance” meeting. He just didn’t count on her ability to resist his charms or her determination to keep the FBI away from her father’s personal documents.

The scenes between Alaina and Donovan are full of lively dialogue and plenty of emotional and physical chemistry. While deeply attracted to each other, they are both determined to prove they are right in their opposing beliefs and Donovan has the added pressure of needing to prove Alaina is not a traitor to the country. Ms. Wells does a good job developing them both as individual characters and developing their romance. Though I will admit that there were times I wanted to smack Donovan upside the head for all of his “lies” or “omissions” and I also occasionally wanted to hit Alaina for denying they had a real relationship.

Will Alaina be able to prove her father is innocent of what the FBI is accusing him off? Will Donovan’s career and his devotion to his job ruin what could be the love of his life? You’ll have to read Trust Me to find out. I enjoyed it and I think you will too.

When I first read the blurb for Trust Me I was very eager to read this title as it sounded like something I would enjoy. Well I am glad I got the chance to do so as it met my expectations and more. It had just the right mix of romance, mystery and suspense. The love scenes were definitely off the charts, so hot and sizzling. I love the fact that it was not just mindless sex but that there was an actual plot that readers can follow.

This was an exciting read which had my attention from the very first line. It flowed from beginning to end and had just the right pace. Not too slow and not too fast.

I loved how the characters were portrayed. My favourite was Donovan who is an alpha male but who is not afraid to show his gentle side. He and Alaina were quite good together. The attraction between these two was evident from their first encounter. The sparks literally flew. They both flirted shamelessly with each other. For Donovan the attraction for him was difficult as it could mean jeopardizing his job and months of undercover work, however he could not stay away. I loved the interaction between these two and the way their relationship blossomed in spite of the odds. At first I had questioned Donovan's motives in light of the fact that he was tasked with finding out if Alaina was also involved in the terrorist activities. After awhile it became clear that his feelings were quite genuine.

I liked how the story as it relates to terrorist activities was dealt with. It had me guessing as to whom the real mastermind was. Ms. Wells did not make it easy to figure out who the villain was as she kept adding new twists.

This is a great debut story and is definitely a must read for persons who are looking for a sizzling, steamy and suspenseful romance. Looking forward to more from this author.

TRUST ME is the May 2013 contemporary romance, mystery erotica storyline by Anna Wells. I am not sure if this particular novel is a stand alone, as there is potential for another storyline with the heroine’s best friend, but at the present it can be read as a single release.

The focus of the storyline is lawyer Alaina Simmons and her late father’s connection to an American terrorist organization. When the FBI sues Alaina for access to her father’s papers, she will find herself front and center in an investigation involving the hot FBI agent and lawyer Donovan Prentice. What ensues is a forbidden relationship of sex and sin, risking Donovan’s career and Alaina’s life.

The relationship between Donovan and Alaina is difficult and all over the board. From friends to lovers to frenemies, Alaina will find herself involved with a man who risks his career for a personal and intimate relationship with the woman who is now in protective custody. The reader is taken on a journey where Alaina will discover the truth about her father’s connections to homeland terrorism; and Donovan and his knowledge about the case that will push the limits of of Alaina’s patience.

The storyline is simple; the FBI and terrorism detail is startling rich; the sex scenes are played out in graphic detail. Revelations and escalations of the storyline are brought about quickly and before you know it-everything and everyone are happy once again.

Trust Me is a storyline that focuses more on the erotic aspect of the couple’s relationship than on the building of the relationship and character background. It is also a story of suspense and mystery as the FBI track an organization dealing with terrorist connections and the right to privacy and free speech when lives and security are at risk.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. As a fellow writer I understand how hard it is to get the word out about your first book when you self-publish. I also understand the difficulties involved when you must edit your work, even after it has passed through several sets of eyes. Any errors I come across I communicate directly to the author and do not take them into account when I make a review.
When I review a book I look more at the storyline, the character development and the authors ability to keep me engrossed from the beginning to end. As for this story I will admit that while the story was enjoyable and did keep me interested from the first page I was a little disappointed which is why I only gave the story three stars. I felt the author had a great story premise but relied too much on the sex scenes to carry the reader through as opposed to developing the characters themselves. Don’t get me wrong the sex scenes were incredible but because I didn’t feel the characters come to life; I felt like I was reading a cheap thrill as opposed to an incredible piece. I also figured out the villain and guessed the climax which to me was a letdown. If you want a quick read with great sex; this is the book. If you are one that wants to be drawn into a book to the point that the outside world doesn’t exist and experience the depth of emotion the characters feel than this one will be lacking. I believe Ms. Wells shows talent and do look forward to her growth as a writer. I would recommend this book to my fellow readers though since this is just my opinion and having read other reviews this book has been well received.

Main characters: Donovan and Alaina. Alaina was a lawyer. Donovan was an FBI agent.
Told in the third person POV.
#insta connection. #forbidden romance #sexually driven
Alaina had documents from her deceased father that might contain information pertaining to terrorist attacks on several cities. Donovan had been working the OAS case for two years with the FBI. The FBI wanted those documents. Alaina's role was to protect the documents by donating them to an archive physicality.
I was torn by Alaina's career as a lawyer considering she spoke like a sorority student fresh out of college.
I'm not feeling the power of the connection between Donovan and Alaina. Saying the words, "I feel an electric charge", does not make me believe in that connection.
Donovan was a dirty talker and a taster. Alaina was a horny lawyer with a wet, responsive, tight and cream filled p*ssy.
"It was just that the depth of the experience had gone beyond the mere physical aspect of making love, it had been a deeply emotional for her." These words need to be backed up with facts and I'm certain they only have a physical attraction. No emotions have been established other than the shock of being in danger. Again with the words. Use them to convince me. "Sexual tension crackled between them." Describe the sexual tension. There was no tension only lack of control.

I had high expectations for this story. I usually favor stories with suspense and detective storylines but this one did not hold my interest.
I felt like I read a Scooby Doo story with the way Alaina solved the mystery.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review
I liked this book. It has some mystery and suspense that keeps you guessing, and some hot steamy sex scenes as well. The chemistry between Alaina and Donovan is pretty hot to be sure. After Alaina and Donovan first meet, things are pretty tense, Donovan is a FBI agent trying to get papers that Alaina's had left her, but she has been assigned to keep them safe, and only a select few are allowed to see them. After going to court, they decide to keep things professional until the judgment has been made, but that doesn't last long. After a threat to Alaina's life, Donovan takes Alaina to a safe house, and from there things get interesting. After an intimate moment, Donovan has promised to keep his hands off Alaina until things are back under control.
Once things slow back down, Alaina and Donovan decide to see where things go between them. That is until Alaina finds out what Donovan has been keeping from her. Alaina can't trust Donovan anymore and tries to push him away. But once again Alaina has someone coming after her, and the only one she trusts to keep her safe is Donovan. Will Alaina be able survive this last attack so that she can tell Donovan that she forgives him?
I liked the suspense in the book, and Anna Wells does a good job at keeping you guessing what's next. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Trust Me was a wonderful read! I had a hard time putting it down. Alaina was raised by her step-father and mother when she graduated college her real father showed only to die two years later. Alaina was a lawyer he left her in charge of some papers unfortunately that linked her and him to bombings, the FBI became involved. Donovan was the agent working the case. He had to find out if Alaina knew was an accomplice or innocent. Alaina and Donovan had instant attraction, sparks were flying. I immediately liked Donovan even though he was cocky, he was funny, protective, passionate, charming, sexy, attentive, helpful, caring, supportive, he was just an all around good guy. Alaina, bless her heart, had a heart of gold, but was so trusting she was almost naive really. This was a great read that I thought I had all figured out but once I got to end I wrong, took a twist I didn't see. I definitely recommend this book.

I was given an ARC copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review, All opinions in this review are my own. My review can be found at http://booksbooksmorebooks.blogspot.c...

Alaina grew up not knowing her biological father. 26 years down the road at her law school graduation he suddenly shows up in her life looking to finally get to know her. Although unsure of her feelings she decides to give him a chance and gets to know him, less than two years later he passes away from cancer and Alaina belives that's the reason he came into her life when he did, to get to know her before he died. Sometime down the road the FBI comes to her looking for evidence of terrorism in papers left to her care. Problem is she feels it is her fathers right, even though he's dead, to keep the documents confidential. Little does she know they have evidence proving his guilt, and the hot and frustrating lawyer/agent Donovan Prentice doesn't want to show it to her because for a while she was a suspect too. As their feeling for each other grow out of control and more and more is uncovered in the case they have to learn if they can trust each other.

I liked the story line although there was sometimes too much detail about the surroundings throughout. My favorite character was definitley the best friend Elise

I received a copy from the author for my honest review, so here it is. This is a great story, it is a love story with a little suspense and intrigue in it. Alaina Simmons is a lawyer trying to keep FBI lawyer Donovan Prentice from getting her father Tom Simmons paperwork that he has left in her care. Alaina doesn't think her father is a terrorist but Donovan has other evidence to prove it. On the day she is to meet FBI Prentice, she is running late for work and has a killer headache and she stops at the local drugstore for aspirin and literally runs into Mr Hottie and the attraction is instant. When the time comes for Agent Prentice's appointment he is 15 minutes late and turns out he is Mr Hottie from the drugstore. She tries to fight the subpoena and they go to court. Can Alaina learn to trust Donovan? Will Donovan trust her enough to tell her how he feels? There are a lot of twist and turns to this story and you will not be disappointed. I finished this in less than a day. This is a first for me by Anna Wells and I loved it. looking forward to reading more from her.

I really like this book a lot. The plot is what really drew me to reading the book and what KEPT me reading. There was only a few grammatical errors not enough to make anyone quit it's just one of my pet peeves. And it only ran slow at about the 50% mark. There was some basic sentence structure that was a little elementary.
I thought that maybe the H & h could've developed the relationship a little further when they were in protective custody but that might be just my POV.
IT WAS A FABULOUS STORYLINE AND THE LOVE SCENES WERE OUTRAGEOUS AND STEAMY!! I LIKED HIS TAKE CHARGE MENTALITY AND HE WOULDN'T GIVE UP ON HER. AND OF COURSE I HAVE TO HAVE MY HEA!!!!!

* there is an error that I sent off to the author in hopes that it will get corrected before final publication. The error is at the very inning where there is a repeat of the same 15 or so pages.

I received this book for a honest review there was no money exchanged for this review.
