Teasing Lexi ~ Letting Go ~ Book 1, by J. Wilde, author is a short story about a young woman that is attracted to a man, Dante, a Dom. She tries a new relationship with him on his terms. He gives her a set of rules with no input to what she wants and no information on the extent of whay he expects.
When he takes her to a the club she the first time he controls her and she likes it but still isn't sure this is what she is comfortable with. On the second visit he betrays her and pushes her too far and she runs. She is also betrayed by her best friend to make her feel horrible, the opposite of what she thought she would experience.
The story showed a incosiderate Dom with a woman new to that type of relationship and not based on trust and attraction. This is what made the story a bit of a disappointment, while still being an interesting plot line to the point of betrayal.
This was WEIRD, all in capitals. I'm not sure what to make of it.
I just read it because it fit a difficult challenge and it was short. The story was all over the place, about this journalist who sleeps around a lot but has the hots for a guy. For some reason, she likes him but sorts of fears him. The guy though has dominating tendencies and she's not so sure she's into that (she seemed while they were doing it though).
The writing was stilted and the little bit of plot there was seemed way convoluted and didn't make much sense. The ending was a big WTF with the guy acting like an evil villain - there was an evil laugh and all. It was so crazy that I ended up laughing out loud.
A good story, pulled me in from the beginning. I learned a lot while reading this short but interesting story. Didnt see the ending coming and I was startled. Not sure how the hell she's going to get around what happened so I will have to read book two. An author to look out for. Five stars from me.
It was good, right up until the point where Dante broke her trust. I couldn't believe that he'd be that much of a dick and that her supposed friend went along with it. It's all pretty twisted but I'm glad it's a two parter. I hope Lexi gets what she wants just not with that creep Dante.
