The Game of Life

Rate this book
Biographical books, or bios, are detailed descriptions of a person's life. A biography is more than simply the basic facts, like education, work, relationships, and death. It portrays a person's experience of major life events. A biography presents a subject's life story, emphasizing certain aspects of his or her life, and including intimate details of their experiences, which may include an analysis of their personality. Biographical works are generally non-fiction, but fictional works can also be used to portray a person's life. An in-depth form of biographical coverage is referred to as legacy writing. An authorized biography refers to a book written with the permission, cooperation, and at times, participation of the subject or the subject's heirs. An autobiography, on the other hand, is written by the person themselves, sometimes with the assistance of a collaborator or "ghostwriter".

This is a great book. It is a new venture of the old in a never ending loop of reinterpretation. However it deals with things which are not yet understood and provides a framework from a blind perspective.

It’s always more poetic when you find out that reality doesn’t have a working mechanism. It’s this interplay between the need to establish some kind of truth and the complete absurd ness of it all.

It is and always should and will be an interplay of building something and finding out it’s not actually that thing we thought it was.

I do believe they are aware of their own egos at play here as they clearly state the issues with rigid models. That being said, the voices are male dominant. That whole group has a male dominating voice. And in the back of head I always wondered what would have happened if there would have been a (very much needed) female voice in there. This subtle, yet not so subtle if you really look at it, underlying tone, is what’s missing if you ask me. And also what really blocks the progress for a unified self. Because after all they are quite stuck up in what they believe to be the re-ality. Which is were the work stops.

Non the less, I love and cherish this book deeply because it is the closest I’ve know to what really excites me to the core.

Tristeza.

An absolute trip. Read it with your eyes wide open, and realize within each page there is something seemingly obvious & insightful.

While I'll admit that sometimes Leary gets a bit Verbose, I definitely have the intrigue to read more of his Future History Series. Next on my personal list to read of Timothy Leary's is "Exo Psychology".

In the midst of the graphics and hilarious drawings, you'll find an abundance of book recommendations & interesting points of view.

I definitely recommend this one! Take it with a grain of salt, and enjoy the wonders of Leary's ideas.

Rubbish

The brain has eight or is it twelve circuits. Normal functioning only involves the first four. These are mapped by archaic symbol systems such as the tarot or the qabalah. Doesn’t quite fit so had to invent a couple of extra cards.
Interesting enough ideas - though not at all original. Fine fodder for SF or Occult novels. But honestly what a load of nonsense.
And it’s not even written well. Garbled and rambling.
Someone did too many drugs.

Practical objective approach to subjective physiology. A very unique way tho, but interesting because you can observe and understand it only up to the limit of your perception. and then on, its as far as your perception grows- your understanding goes.

Dated and difficult to read. Some interesting ideas but very much from a white male priviledge position
