Great inspirational quotes from many famous christians

This was a good devotional. I wouldn't say it was my favorite, but I did enjoy all the quotes from people I never knew even existed. There are so many people throughout history that were Christians and gave words of wisdom that we can still apply to our lives today. I did enjoy the concept of asking what would Jesus do in all situations for the entire year, though I did not live up to doing it as well as I should have.

What would Jesus Do

After reading this devotion you will consider WWJD then ask yourself what will you do? Great news when you read and follow up with a plan to take action. I really enjoyed all the contributors for this book.

This was a non-fiction Christian book read in a while. The book - 365 What Would Jesus Do (WWJD) - is a collection of daily devotional articles which are challenges faced in the daily lives by believers, in the journey of Christian Discipleship.

In fact, this is a compilation of nuggets of scripture supplemented by some thought-provoking challenges posed by early missionaries and spiritual leaders. The content was presented as daily meditation passages with date stamps in it, and I have done a crash reading of the passages in a couple of weeks. The passages and articles are focused on a particular topic and challenging us what would Jesus do in that situation. For example, what would Jesus do when you're faced by - Depression, Failure, Complacence, Loss, Success, Temptation, Fame etc to name a few.

To be honest, as I mentioned, it was a crash read, and I am not in a position to exercise all the challenges. However, I have noted down a few which I would like to implement in my life. So I think, in a practical sense, it is a good book to be read on a daily basis and try to ask WWJD in each and every aspect of our day-to-day life.

one thing i liked about this book is that in gods eyes you are beautiful no matter how you look or dress or where you live or if you wear makeup... ur beautiful the way YOU are dont change that. another thing that i liked about this book is all the great things it had to say about what some of the stories had like in one where some girl at a school said she was expecting a new neice or nephew and everyone thougt that she said she was pregnant and rumors started spreading and then the girls brother called her mom and she told him that she was aware of the situation at hand and she told him that she knew there were rumors going around and her brother clarified that with her and the next day she went to school and told her she was sorry... i think that this book has a lot of great meanings and that in order to be who you are you dont have to change anything... god loves you no matter what!!

A great way to start the day: a quote from scripture followed by a quote from a Christian author or other important person and a short reflection. It was quick enough for me to be able to read in the morning before work and get in the right mindset for the day. Good start to thought, but not too challenging for first thing in the morning.

I found this a helpful aid in my daily devotions. It covers a broad spectrum of religious and spiritual writers thoughts and examples of Christianity along with a Biblical quote for each day.
