Hmmmm... now this is a treat. A Song For Us is a nice treat for my Christmas. The story is sad and yet uplifting with hope and love. I like Sarah and Evan's story much better than Cass and Tucker.
Miss Mummert putting a lot of moral messages in the story. Family, loss, abuse are the primary topic. And 2 people with so much heart break finally come together for their HEA.
Miss Mummert does not dramatize the ugly aspect of those issues. Instead she writes the story with such tenderness and love.
I like this about her.

My Thoughts:
I have been invested in the White Trash Trilogy, ever since I read the first book in the series, White Trash Love Song. The first two books in the series are about Tucker and Cass. In their story, we met Tucker's bandmates; the twins, Terry and Chris, as well as the moody drummer, Eric. We also met Sarah, and Derek, who are from a separate band, Filth, that they were touring with. Cass and Sarah developed a very close friendship with one another, being the only girls on the road. Sarah had a very dysfunctional on again, off again relationship with Derek, who cheated on her repeatedly. Eric, the drummer from Damaged, also developed a strong friendship with Sarah. In fact, he had stronger feelings than friendship for her, but never got the chance to tell her, before she got back together with Derek.
In White Trash Love Song, we get Sarah and Eric's story, told from their dual perspectives. Sarah and Eric haven't spoken in months, because their bands are not touring together anymore. Derek is jealous of Sarah and Eric's friendship, so she has stopped speaking to him in order to save her relationship. Sarah and Eric see one another again, when everyone comes together to celebrate Cass and Tucker's nuptials. Eric's feelings for Sarah have not changed. They both miss each other's friendship, and have shared intimate details about their pasts with one another that they have not shared with anyone else. It is easy to see what they share is very special. Unfortunately, Sarah continues to stick out her relationship with Derek. Everyone around Sarah can see that Derek is not good for her, except for Sarah. He has cheated on her in the past, and even though she thinks that he is now faithful, he hasn't changed one bit. He tells Sarah he doesn't believe in marriage, and it is pretty obvious that the guy has a wandering eye.
Damaged's new band manager, Donna, has developed a friendship with Eric. She knows that he is hung up on Sarah, but that she has a boyfriend. Pretty soon Donna starts flirting with Eric, and tells him that maybe if Sarah see's him with another woman, she might realize what she's missing out on and see him in a different light. Donna and Eric are both lonely and start to flirt and spend a lot of time together. Pretty soon, things become complicated as Sarah starts to realize that she has feelings for Eric. Sarah, Derek, Eric, and Donna spending time together for the week is a recipe for disaster, as the plot thickens, and chaos ensues.
I loved White Trash Love Song! The plot was full of twists and surprises! I've been attached to all of these characters since book one, and I loved every moment of spending time with Tucker, Cass, Sarah, Eric, and the twins. The intimate friendship between Sarah and Eric was beautiful to watch. They both had pasts that haunted them, and shared a special connection with one another, as they shared their lives with one another. I couldn't stand Derek! The fact that he was disrespectful and a cheater made me very angry. I was also very frustrated with Sarah for staying with him. She kept trying to deny her feelings for Eric, and was very indecisive when it came to making a decision about who she wanted to be with. I loved seeing how Cass and Tucker were doing. I had missed them, and it was great experiencing their wedding, and love for one another all over again. This story made me very emotional, and had a lot of angst. I cried a few times throughout the story, and my heart broke for both Sarah and Eric. They both had experienced a lot of pain in their pasts, and as they were relieving the tragedies in their lives, I felt like I was going through their experiences right alongside them.

I give White Trash Love Song, by Teresa Mummert, 4.5 Tragic, Emotional, Angsty, New Beginning Filled Stars! This is a great series. If you enjoy books by Jessica Sorensen, you will love Teresa Mummert! They both write about damaged characters, angst, love, and healing from the past.

I have to say first and foremost that I LOVE Sebastian York. He narrated this book and made me fall in love with E just from his voice=)
I was looking so forward to Sarah and Eric's story. Just from what I learned about both of them from the first two books of this series. I knew there was going to be drama. GOD it was so angsty!! Sometimes I just had to stop listening because it was just SO sad. I loved it, don't get me wrong. But my heart can only take so much and this book tested my "angst" limit for hours!!
Here are my character pics. E doesn't have tats in the book, but he is a rock star and to me they have to have them=) Hey it's my review lol=)

3.5 Emotional Angst Filled Stars!

I do really like this series and I did like this book and this has nothing to do with the author as I love both but ... even though contemporary romance is my main genre sometimes I get so tired of the:
'I like you' but I'm with someone else
'No I like you ' but because of oodles of miscommunications and assumptions they think they are with someone else when they are not
'i like you' oh you didn't jump right in my arms and declare your feelings then obviously I should jump into someone else's bed
'i like someone else but I'll just stay in my miserable relationship (which makes it tough to truly believe the depth of feelings)
or the 'You deserve better' ' no you deserved better' 'I'm not good enough'
Grrr, you're getting my drift.
This contemporary storyline sometimes gets used way to much. Again this story just happened to be this theme and pushed me over the edge but if I was to get my head out of my ass and step back an ignore my annoyance then I can say I did like it as I do everything else from Teresa Mummert.
It's amazing what personal demons can do to your head and fuck you up. Even though the angst got to me, Teresa portrayed the effects of the past and the healing that needs to be done within and that love can't save everything. You have to love yourself before you can truly love another.
Eric loves Sarah but he just wants her to be happy even if that means not with him.
But Sarah isn't happy and she's confused.
Eric finally tells the truth no matter the consequences.
To find their happiness it becomes quite an emotional journey to find their way to each other.
It took me awhile to get into this book but I'm glad I stuck it out because I loved the end and I adored the series. It ended with Eric and Sarah but also revolved around Cass and Tucker's HEA as well.

Teresa Mummert again was able to entice an array of emotions from her engaging storyline and powerful writing. I thoroughly enjoyed Eric & Sarah's journey.
I'll be honest and say I was a little sceptical when starting this book. Eric was a secondary character in the other stories, all I was able to see was the sullen and arrogant band member that would mope around, drink entirely too much and would give Cass & Tuck a hard time. We saw a 'slightly' softer side to him in White Trash Damaged but it wasn't enough for me to be calling his name from the rooftops. It takes a special type of writer to bring a character like that to the foreground and make him likeable; so much so that people would want to read his story. Teresa did that. Early on I found myself warming up to Eric and towards the end I had my pom poms out cheering for his happy ending.
Sarah is just as endearing, while I liked her as Cass's friend and confidant, this is HER story, she shines as a leading character. We learn so much more about her and realise that she wears a mask to cover her painful past. I won't lie, she pissed me off a few times, especially with her loyalty to that douchebag of a boyfriend (GRRRRR) But never fear, it all makes sense in the end.
Their journey is not an easy one, there's the typical emotional turmoil that you've come to expect (even enjoy?) in this series. There are some heart stopping and tear inducing moments in this story; their pasts heart breaking and they need to overcome those issues to move forward in their life.

Teresa Mummert is a rockstar, and has done it again! I so loved the first two books in this series, and was eagerly waiting for this addition, and it definately got my undivided attention. It has everything you want in a good read…heartache, passion, and hot rock and roll lovin!
This is Eric and Sarah’s story, and what a heart breaking story it was! These two have literally been through some chaotic crap in their lives, and how can you not want them to end up together? In my eyes, they’re a match made in rock and roll heaven.
They’re both fiercely protective of their family and friends, and would do anything for them. Sarah hides behind a mask of confidence, yet she’s crying inside. Eric also hides behind the same mask, not wanting to face the many past secrets that could destroy him. So much drama and heartache between the both of them, you just feel their pain as if it was your own.
Absolutely loved Cass and Tucker’s wedding too, what a tear jerker it turned out to be. Great ending to an awesome series, and even though their are some twists and turns you may not expect, I loved every minute of it! Kudos to you, Teresa Mummert!

All I can say is WOW! What a heart wrenching love story!
I didn't think it was possible but I think I love E and Sarah just as much, if not more than Tucker and Cass (And, it breaks my heart to say that because I REALLY love Tucker and Cass!) Their story had so many twists and turns and some very heartbreaking parts. It was one of those that you just wish you could actually be in the story and slap the characters into realization of what they were doing to to each other.
I love books that get me emotionally involved and this one had me using every emotion I had.
I am give A Song For Us 5 "Emotion filled" stars.

Absolutely terrible. The final book in this trilogy chose to be about Eric and Sarah instead of Tucker and Cass even though the first two books followed them and left alot to be discussed here. But instead we have Sarah and her continually making excuses for her a-hole boyfriend who is less than stellar. Also, E who is obsessed with his feelings for Sarah and drinks himself into oblivion...repeatedly. And here's the thing, they both are destroying themselves because they don't want to ruin their friendship by admitting they had feelings for each other. It was ridiculous. It was really hard to read about two people making themselves absolutely miserable for no reason whatsoever. I don't usually like the miscommunication trope but this was so over the top with it...and the writing felt so juvenile, online story.
Overall, I'd not recommend any of this trilogy to anyone.

This is the third book in the series White Trash by Teresa Mummert. Cass and Tucker have finally found their happy ever after but, now it is Eric and Sarah’s turn. Eric is Damaged ( the band )’s drummer and Sarah is the lead singer of the band Filth. Sarah has feelings for Eric however she still has feelings for her on and off again boyfriend Derek who she kept on going back to even though he was an absolute asshole who probably had cheated on her multiple times during the relationship. That annoyed me because I knew Sarah knew Derek was cheating on her but she still did nothing about it and forgave him every single time which pissed me off so much,
What also annoyed me about this book was that Eric was basically stringing two girls along for the ride without picking one. We all knew Sarah was the one for him. Yet he kept on stringing along Donna though he knew that she has had bad relationships and another fail would tear her apart. He kept on telling her that he cared about her and let her tell him all of her secrets and then ran to Sarah when he found out she was the slightest bit free.
I was also hoping for more information about Cass and Tucker which we did not get. All we found out was that Cass and Tucker got married ( Yay! ) and thats about it.
Both Eric and Sarah had so many problems which kind of dampened the story a bit. They should not be looking for relationships when both of them were so messed up due to extremely bad childhoods.
I did like how this book focused on trust issues and how it showed it is very important to let someone in if you need help which is a very important message for all the struggling people out there who need a helping hand. You do not have to do it on your own.
Another thing I liked about this book was when Eric became really sweet because he was. Even though he did string Donna along I do not think he understood what he was doing. There was one moment in the book when I realised that Eric was a genuinely good guy. That was when he caught Derek cheating on Sarah and not protecting her when there was a gang fight in the bar and instead of telling Sarah the truth which would mean she would immediately fall into his arms, he made Derek out to be some kind of hero just so it would not devastate Sarah and break her band apart.
Anyways this book was ok. I liked Cass and Tucker’s story way more. These two characters just did not grow on me the way Cass and Tucker did. I liked the way the both of them sort of mended bridges with the family that did not hurt them that much and realised that their families actually cared about them.
I am going to give this three stars and I would not advise you to read this book but to each their own.

Anyways this book was ok. I liked Cass and Tucker’s story way more. These two characters just did not grow on me the way Cass and Tucker did. I liked the way the both of them sort of mended bridges with the family that did not hurt them that much and realised that their families actually cared about them.
I am going to give this three stars and I would not advise you to read this book but to each their own.

The White Trash series is my first foray into Teresa Mummert’s writing. And since I’m a huge rock star romance lover, I read HAD to read all three books in this series back to back. I really enjoy Teresa’s take on rock star relationships and all the ugly emotional baggage that comes along with such a lifestyle.
A Song For Us concentrates on Eric and Sarah’s story. I was intrigued with their relationship in White Trash Damaged quite a bit. Diving right into A Song For Us, I got the feeling this wasn’t going to be an easy journey for them. They’re both plagued with deep and troubling pasts. Eric is coping with guilt and grief over the death of his brother when he was a child. It doesn’t help matter that his father blames him for it and took it out on him physically. Sarah’s past is very troubling. She is violated as a child and manages to escape her situation, but not without serious emotional damage. They both deal with their issues in a very unhealthy ways, of course.
I found Sarah and Eric’s relationship very frustrating. This holds true for Cass and Tucker’s early relationship as well. Both Sarah and Cass reminded me of that website Hot chicks with douchbags. These women were beautiful, but still managed to attract the biggest douchebags they could find. It drove me NUTS! And the amount of apologies they made for these jerks made me want to slap them with my Kindle ! Sarah and Cass put up with so much crap from these guys, I wondered if they’d ever escape these guys. Fortunately, Eric and Tucker are great guys and don’t give up on them. Eric especially goes through so many ups and downs with Sarah. He is a loyal friend to her, even as he pines for her. Sarah doesn’t think she’s good enough for Eric and refuses to let herself be happy.
Guilt is a huge theme in A Song For Us. I think it drives Eric and Sarah in most of their decisions, with many bad results unfortunately. I was so happy to see that eventually they both get the much needed closure with their families. And Sarah finally deals with her horrible past with professional help. I’m really glad Teresa includes this in the book and doesn’t gloss over it. It’s such a important topic and she handles it with respect.
I really enjoyed my first Teresa Mummert’s books. Even as I was tearing my hair out with all the back and forth angst between Sarah and Eric, I find myself still thinking about their story when I’m not reading. Teresa’s wonderful writing and characters made an impression on me. I love that she supplies a deep back story for her characters, which is a must for me. The secondary characters stories are just as intriguing as Sarah and Eric’s. I wouldn’t mind reading a book about Chris and Terry. They’re antics were pretty hilarious. And their shameless man-whoring ways makes me wonder if any woman could tame them. Pick up A Song For Us and read this deeply emotional book. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars!

A Song for Us brings this wonderful trilogy to an end. Writing this review is actually bittersweet for me. I really love this series and would be thrilled to read more about the lives of these amazing characters created by Teresa. This well written series has followed the lives of Cass and Tucker along with the other band members. All of the characters have had their own personal struggles to deal with. This last book, is the story of Eric, also known as “E”, Donna, the band manager, Sarah and Derek from the band Filth.
From the moment I started reading A Song for Us, I couldn’t put it down. I was so intrigued by Eric. I really wanted for him to find happiness. He really grew on me in the second book. Cass and Tucker had found their own happiness so it was only fair that “E” would find his. Eric and Sarah have a special friendship/connection. Sarah is in love with Derek. I’ll spare you my feelings about Derek. Both Eric and Sarah have troubling pasts and emotional damage to deal with.
Sarah and Eric have not kept in touch and some time has passed. They are reunited and their friendship/feelings come alive. The chemistry between them is hot but Sarah is with Derek. All along those special feelings between “E” and Sarah have meant more. Distance and Derek have made their friendship almost impossible. It is in this final book that we finally see “E” take a chance on love.
Let me warn you, there are enough twists in this story to make you dislike Sarah. Seriously, I wanted to just slap some sense into her. My heart went out for Eric. Ups and downs will definitely keep you reading.
All of the band members are back in this book too. They played a vital part in this story. It was great to see Chris and Terry, the twins and how they played significant roles. (no spoilers) Together all of the characters were united for a common purpose and acted just like a family with each other.
Cass and Tuck, I love them. While this book may not be entirely focused on them, there is enough of their continued love story to make it enjoyable for the reader. I won’t tell you too much about them. Go read the book for yourself.

One of the things that I enjoyed so much about this book was the fact that they both had a chance to go back to their pasts and deal with the guilt and emotional baggage they carried around for so long. So many details are revealed and clarified in this final book.

A Song for Us is the latest installment in Teresa Mummert’s White Trash Trilogy. This story steps away from the characters featured in the first two novels (Cass and Tucker) and features Damaged drummer, Eric. As much as I absolutely loved White Trash Beautiful and White Trash Damaged, I was excited to explore the story of a new character from the series. Pieces of Eric’s story have been paved throughout the first two novels, and I was ready to get the full scope of his past and present.
Eric is loyal, protective, hot-tempered, passionate, vulnerable, damaged but strong. There’s no clear word that is able to define the complexity of his past and character. I loved getting inside his mind and seeing his strengths and weaknesses. I wanted so badly for him to find a happily ever after like Cass and Tucker. He’s a catch and I loved that Teresa presented Eric with several options to pursue. He finds himself in more than just a love triangle. This is a love rectangle. The passion. The drama. Someone is guaranteed heartbreak and I was left guessing who would be left hurting until the end.
Sarah, the lead singer of Filth, has made several cameos in the series and has a weighted past with Eric. Despite her feelings and undeniable attraction to him, she has chosen a (sometimes unstable) relationship with her bandmate, Derek. I also loved getting to know her better, but at times I wanted to shake her until she realized her potential and broke free from the past that haunts her. She pushed my comfort zone and my heart ached for her throughout the story.
Even though the A Song For Us focuses on Eric and Sarah, Teresa doesn’t dismiss the other characters from the White Trash Trilogy. She incorporates scenes with the couple readers originally fell in love with, Cass and Tucker, giving updates on their happily ever after. We also get glimpses into the lives of the other bandmates, and I can’t help but beg for the twins to get their own books.
This story is the perfect addition to Teresa Mummert’s rocker series. Readers will get their share of drama and will be beyond satisfied with the romance and passion in A Song For Us. I’m torn between closure and wanting more. If the series were to end with this book, I would be content and able to move on. At the same time, I can’t help but want stories for every other member of Damaged. Regardless of where these characters end up, I have truly enjoyed The White Trash Trilogy and highly recommend readers take a chance on Cass and Tucker and then continue the journey with Eric.

I think the bones of this story for me that’s it’s really hard to watch someone that is so in love with another person keep being held at bay, slightly toyed with and left feeling rejected. That’s hard for me to watch whilst it’s going on.
I really disliked Sarah (I know hate me now!) but….. I did also feel sorry for her and I kinda understood her – WTH! How could I feel all this?
Eric was his usual gorgeous self, it was obvious to everyone how he felt, but Sarah couldn’t see the wood for the trees half the time. Hell bent on not letting Derek down and why FFS? Again, we are privy to what asshat Derek is up to but she isn’t – so that screws with your head too and why (for me) it was hard to give Sarah sympathy when I was watching both sides and as much as Sarah was being protected by what Derek was doing by everyone, come on she knows what he’s like and does a leopard really change his spots?
This is written in dual POV of both Sarah and Eric and that’s where I think the frustration breeds from. Because I can see what they feel and what is happening to them it’s giving me a heck of a ride because I have to keep reminding myself – they can’t read each other like I am!
It’s not often I go a whole way through a book and still not fully like the heroine even at the end (although I had warmed to her a bit by then. I found I couldn’t connect to her but that’s only because I was privy to seeing the damage she was doing to Eric. Do I think she deserves a happy ending with Eric – honestly – no……. does she get a happy ending with Eric – hahahaaa you’ll have to read the book to find that out. Don’t get me wrong though this absolutely did not detract from the story, my feelings towards Sarah only made their story seem more real.
The conclusion was very well thought out and a perfect way to complete their journeys in as much as what Sarah and Eric find and go through to be able to put their demons to rest. That for me was a very much needed piece of structure to bring it to a good ending.
I am pining a bit for Donna, I want to know more…. I really do…… out of what I can only describe as this love quartet, she’s the one I connected to the most and I so want to read more of her.
But as much as I didn’t connect with Sarah, I honestly couldn’t ‘not like’ this last book in the White Trash series. It’s very well presented, the characters as we’ve come to know are dimensional and all in all once started this really is hard to put down. A nice take on a love story that isn’t hearts and flowers, it’s heartache and thorns and I really enjoyed it.

While this is the last chapter of the White Trash series, it is very much a standalone novel. You don’t necessarily have to read the other two books first, but it does help to get a better understanding of their lifestyle and how the characters fit into this series.
Eric is the drummer of Damaged, and as you can see from the synopsis, he has his own demons he wrestles with throughout the book. We meet Eric in White Trash Damaged, and he’s not Cass’ biggest fan in the beginning, but they eventually develop a significant bond that really redeems all of his bad behavior. I liked him a lot by the end of the book. In Love Song, we learn more about Eric’s past, which is pretty dark once you get into everything. He harbors a lot of guilt for something he blames himself for, drinking himself into a stupor to forget about it. But there’s no amount of alcohol that can fix his issues.
In White Trash Damaged we also meet Sarah, an awesome character who befriends Cass while her band is on tour with Damaged. Same as Cass and Eric, Sarah is a complex character with a very dark past that she consistently struggles with. I could relate to Sarah on a completely different level than Cass to a certain extent. This series struck the biggest chord with me on a personal level, more so than any other books I’ve ever read. There’s also parts of this book and what happens to Sarah that remind me of someone I know that now looking back I can see why I understood this so well.
Eric has always liked Sarah but with her jerk of a boyfriend and bandmate holding her back it initially makes it difficult for anything real to happen between Eric and Sarah. I mentioned that Free Bird is basically the song for this series in my review of White Trash Beautiful. It’s Sarah’s song she uses to shutout the abuse of her past. Every time she needs to deal she plays this song. I do the same thing with this song but for different reasons. The reason why it’s called Love Song is because Eric and Sarah write a song together, which I absolutely adore. The process of them writing the song is what pushes them together, propelling the story. It’s also what helps each of them deal with their issues. The ending is perfect, and we also see more of Cass and Tucker from the first two books.
Of all the romance series, I’ve ever read this is my number one recommendation.

My Review:
Again, this is another one of those books...it's #3 in the series, but I haven't read the rest of the books. While I could tell that this one would have been better if I'd read the others first, it was definitely one that worked okay as a stand-alone.
This book is about Sarah and Eric. They've been friends for a while and Eric has wanted more forever. While Sarah suspects that, they've never actually gone to that place...mainly because Sarah is in a serious relationship with her fellow band-member Derek, who's a complete and total jerk. The thing is that although Eric and everyone else sees that about Derek, Sarah doesn't.
This book is all about the emotional angst of this love triangle. The band members are legally adults (I think), but they all had a very teenagey, high school feel about them. This book felt like a young adult novel trying to make it to the New Adult level, but the characters' maturity level didn't quite make it there...in my opinion. And because of that...for me...this book just didn't quite make it. It featured lots of unresolved issues with parents, self-cutting and abuse, and lots and lots of drinking way too much.
I enjoyed the music/rock band aspect of the book and loved it when Sarah and Eric were connecting through their music and song-writing. But the unspoken feelings, secrets, and longing looks just got to be too much. I wanted to yell at them both to grow up and grow a pair because dangling all these characters emotionally wasn't fair to anyone in the book.
And there is a whole group of friends involved with this whole drama...two bands worth. But my question is...where the heck were they all when Eric got thrown in jail? Only Donna, his love interest throughout most the book, was there and she was the one who shouldn't have been.
But the book definitely kept me engaged. The writing was tight and the characters memorable. I pretty much read it straight through...again this was that soap-opera mentality. It's hard to look away...LOL.

Teresa Mummert delivers a heartfelt and poignant love story that will wring every emotion out of you!
Before I proceed, I must confess…I totally skipped book two and got straight into Eric and Sarah’s story. I”m not entirely sure if that’s recommendable seeing as Tucker and Cass’s story keeps going on in the background. I will say, however, that I completely fell right into step with the storyline even though I didn’t read White Trash Damaged; there’s nothing you can’t figure out if you’d even like to read this as a stand-alone. But, like I said…it’s not recommended. Plus, don’t be a fool like me and miss reading Tuck and Cass’s epic love story!
Alrighty, moving forward. I fell head over heels in love with Eric. Wow! That boy can truly and deeply love with all his heart. Every emotion, good or bad or confused, was translated perfectly into words. Mummert really makes you understand the turmoil that Eric’s heart and mind is going through. Sarah, on the other hand, was touch-n-go there for a bit. It’s not that I didn’t like her, I was just frustrated as shit with her decisions. I kept thinking, “How can she not realize what’s right in front of her?!” I literally wanted to shake her right out of the pages. But hey, doesn’t make her a bad character it just emphasizes Mummert’s ability to get you emotionally involved in the story—which is always a good thing.
This book does deal with past physical and emotional abuse, alluding to really graphic scenes. Although it totally sucks that a character’s pain roots from unbelievable circumstances, it actually adds a lot of dimension to the story over all. It gives both Eric and Sarah a sense of normalcy, that they are in fact human aside from celebrity rockstars. And in the end, it turns their passionate affair into an explosive romance.

Teresa Mummert kept me into the full trilogy, and "White Trash Trilogy" has gotta be a personal fave for band/singer type story lines. I am giving book 3 a mahoosive 6 stars!
I don't know about anyone else, but i have a habit at times of getting bored with a series or trilogy before i get to the last book. I have often ended up in a book funk because of this. I don't place any blame on the authors as i think i have a very low attention span.
ANYWAY, this is the story of E/Erik and Sarah and Derek, aswell as a catch up with the others in the band.
As it showed in 2nd book, Erik had developed feelings for Sarah, but Sarah was in love with her cheating asshat boyfriend and bandmate Derek (he is still an asshat in this final book.... to the point i wanted to GRRRRRR out loud!!).
The group meet up at the start of the story for Tucker and Cass's wedding. Erik and Sarah have not spoken for a long time as she stopped returning calls and text at Dereks insistence. Insert not a "love triangle" but a "FEELINGS SQUARE"!
After having it made clear time and time again by Sarah that she loves Derek, Erik decides to try find something of his own....
All the way through the book i was begging for someone to kick Derek the asshat in the nads! (I seem to have issues with asshats LOL).
With Sarah - Well i liked her then i didn't like her, then i thought she was foolish. I would never have guessed the many twist and turns this book took. Just when i thought i had it, i was thrown a curve ball.
This book may not finish how the readers think it will but there is a HEA! It also clears up some of the characters backgrounds.
I guess as this is the final book the twins will just continue to be male sluts!

Teresa Mummert again was able to entice an array of emotions from her engaging storyline and powerful writing. I thoroughly enjoyed Eric & Sarah's journey.
I'll be honest and say I was a little sceptical when starting this book. Eric was a secondary character in the other stories, all I was able to see was the sullen and arrogant band member that would mope around, drink entirely too much and would give Cass & Tuck a hard time. We saw a 'slightly' softer side to him in White Trash Damaged but it wasn't enough for me to be calling his name from the rooftops. It takes a special type of writer to bring a character like that to the foreground and make him likeable; so much so that people would want to read his story. Teresa did that. Early on I found myself warming up to Eric and towards the end I had my pom poms out cheering for his happy ending.
Sarah is just as endearing, while I liked her as Cass's friend and confidant, this is HER story, she shines as a leading character. We learn so much more about her and realise that she wears a mask to cover her painful past. I won't lie, she pissed me off a few times, especially with her loyalty to that douchebag of a boyfriend (GRRRRR) But never fear, it all makes sense in the end.
Their journey is not an easy one, there's the typical emotional turmoil that you've come to expect (even enjoy?) in this series. There are some heart stopping and tear inducing moments in this story; their pasts heart breaking and they need to overcome those issues to move forward in their life.

Once again Teresa has out done herself. This trilogy has truly been an amazing ride. Each and every character has their own struggles and hardships but it's just nice to get a peak into a few of them.
This story is focused on Eric "E", Donna, and Sarah. Eric is the sexy and talented drummer for Damaged, Donna is the bitchy but loosening up manager that is playing around with E, and Sarah is Eric's heart and soul.
They each have a past and issues but only Sarah and Eric know each others past. They are such a strong duo except Sarah is in love with Derek, a member of her band Filth. Donna is falling for E and he is falling period. Can they ever get their acts together?
I loved Eric because no matter what he is always there for those he loves. I really enjoyed hating Donna because she was such a bitch but once she started loosing up she became more fun to read. Sarah, well she is just a mess but I enjoyed her character as well. Derek well I'll leave that opinion secret :)

Drama. Love. Angst. Sex. Heartbreak. Music. A Song For Us, Teresa Mummert’s final offering in the White Trash Trilogy, has all this and more for us this time around.
Some may feel differently, but this is undoubtedly my favorite book in the trilogy. Eric and Sarah’s story both broke my heart and filled me with hope for their future in equal parts. Because they both had traumatic childhoods, I thought they had a connection that not a lot of other people would ever get to encounter. They intrinsically knew when the other was out of control and ready to have a meltdown, as well as how to talk each other down from the edge. It was obvious to everyone around them that they were in love, but due to Sarah’s relationship with Derek, they never seemed to have a chance before to give things a try.

First of all, I love anything that Teresa writes. This was book three in The White Trash Trilogy. Eric is the drummer for Damaged, and the story open with his feelings for Sarah. They have been friends throughout the band's tour. Sarah though, has a boyfriend Derek that well, in my terms is a "douchbag".
Derek has a past; he was there when his brother was killed by a car. The father could not let it go and blamed Eric for everything. Eric had so many trust issues because of his dad. His guard would never come down, but with Sarah, he could open himself up.
Sarah was with the band on tour with her band, Filth. Sarah and Eric run the band and have a relationship that is full of turbulence. Sarah has issues of her own, that go deep down to her childhood. She is a "cutter" and that is her release from reality.
Both Sarah and Eric have a bond that cannot be denied.
You see their story unfold and you also get a little bit of Cass/Tucker in the story.
This is a fabulous story and hopefully there is more
of Eric/Sarah!

I really enjoyed it..I'm so sad it's over, Uugh I wish it could continue on ......I need more. Anyways let me get down to review business. This isn't a Cass and Tucker read it's a Sarah, Eric and Derick love triangle and serious emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed every minute of it. Eric had my heart broken into a million pieces more than once. I fell in love with him and couldn't get enough of him. Eric is such an amazing man with a horrible broken past.Sarah holds the keys to Eric's heart but she's in a messed up relationship with a total douche bag. I never knew what was going to happen next with this crazy ass love triangle but I can tell you it made me cry tears of not only sadness but happiness.......Can Eric and Sarah get over their pasts? Where they making it worse by running from it? And do they finally get a happy ever after? Your gonna have to rad to find out ..I can promise you that you won't be disappointed with this book...

A song for us literally just melted my heart. This is Sarah and Eric's Journey.
Sarah is strong and good at hiding inside herself. But like many she is broken. Eric is strong, protective, passionate and broken as well. These two have life experiences that no one in their bands understand and or know about. I loved reading about their life and what has shaped them in to what they are currently. well loved is kind of a strong word .. I hate their pasts but It was nice getting to know them more. These are two amazingly strong people who have to get over their past to really have a future with anyone. This book helps you see them through that process and their choices might surprise you. 5 stars!! amazing story!!

This book was just okay. The writing was good so that definitely helped but I just wasn't a fan of he actual story. There was too much back and forth between Sarah and Eric.
I was supposed to feel sorry for Donna I think, but let's be honest she knew what she was getting into with Eric the whole time. Maybe that's why I didn't fully enjoy the story, the female characters came across as a little naive. Like it didn't matter how they were treated by Derek or Eric as long as they could be with them for as long as they allowed.
I might have been at a disadvantage because I didn't read the previous books but for the most part this felt like a standalone.

What a great way to end an awesome trilogy. I loved getting Eric's story it was amazing. Teresa Mummert has really out done herself with this series. Eric was awesome i adored him. Now Sarah at times i loved her others i hated her this was why i gave it a 4.5 instead of 5. Sometimes she just came off as super immature and selfish to me. I won't go into why as i don't want to spoil anything but that was my opinion. All in all a great trilogy and i hope everyone enjoys it as much as i did.

DNF this book. From the very beginning i did not like this book. This book deals primarily with emotional abuse and anger problems. the emotional abuse to me was not written very well at all. Knowing someone who went though this type of abuse I could not really understand the character very well. When going through emotional abuse it is hard to go and get help, you feel like you deserve to be in the type of situation that you are in and that no one can help you. I understand that, but Sarah to me felt like she was just complaining throughout the parts that i did end up reading. I really enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy so i was extremely disappointed in this book.

If two people were made to be together it's Sarah and Eric. Too bad Sarah's insecurities keep getting in the way- her loser boyfriend just ew. Eric is heartbroken finding solace in the band manager's bed until Sarah gets her head on straight.
I couldn't put this one down and was so thrilled with the ending!
