HOLY AMAZE BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!! You want to talk about crying your eyes out and laughing and screaming like a crazy ass lunatic okay that was me for four hours while I read this book. Lord Marquita you filled my heart and then you ripped it out and stomped all over it. Man the secrets the lies and the ending was like OH-My-EFFING-God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay now the rant is over I have to say that this is going to be a series I read and re-read till I can't read it no more.
Rae went to live with her grandmother after needing a break from the crazy life she was leading and the paparazzi. While there at her grandmothers she meets Cole. She is leery at first because she has not gotten over Jaxon and what he did to her. Man I wanted to reach in that book and slap the ever living life out of Jaxon. Lord who does what he did and for him to turn around and say that he loved Rae really made my blood boil. But anyways she meets Cole and he is every the gentlemen and he brings her out of her shell and shows her what it is like to have real love.
But as we all know with love comes pain and secrets and lies and so much more. So Rae and Cole have to fight through the drama, the family secrets, the family lies and form a strong bound if they are ever to survive this crazy world. If things could not get worse Jaxon comes back into Rae's life and wants her back and is ready to explain what happened and why. But Rae is beyond happy she is having the time of her life and all Jaxon reminds her of is what he did and how he took her heart and ripped it out and stomped all over it.
So Rae is caught between a rock and a hard place because she will have to choose Jaxon or Cole. Who she chooses is amazing and this story is amazing and the ending totally EPIC!

I feel like I missed something because the other reviews for this book were much higher than mine. Don't get me wrong I didn't hate this story, but it was not as great as I hoped it would be. I was hesitant to read it in the first place because I wanted Cole and Rae to live in their blissful happiness where the last book left off. I am a hopeless romantic and want my happy endings...what can I say?
I enjoyed the beginning and the epilogue, but this story was more about the introduction of Jaxson and his life. I wanted Everett and Crystal to just go away. I understand that it is all part of the bigger picture, but I wanted more Cole and Rae.
I enjoyed the first book so much more.

I fell in love with Cole and Violet Rae's story in Live For You, which ended really well, leaving you satisfied, yet yearning to know more of their story. Marquita Valentine delivers just that in Only For You, which picks up where Live For You leaves off. Violet Rae Givens is a country music sensation who went into hiding after a tragic event in her life, ends up staying with her grandmother, and that is where she meets Cole Morgan. Cole has had anything but an easy life and wasn't really interested in a relationship, but he couldn't help falling for Rae. He has a past, she has a past, and together they hope to have a future, but they have a hard row to hoe before that happens, especially when the press, Violet Rae's agent Everett, and her ex-boyfriend Jaxon Hunter get involved. Let's just say there is a whole lot more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye, and the deeper it gets... the messier it gets. When it seems that the world is against them, they each must make tough choices and decide for themselves just what they are willing to do for love.
Only For You was really wonderful, yet heart-wrenching. You find out the back story behind some of the characters, which is really interesting, and sometimes really sad. As the story progresses, the way the main characters lives are intertwined becomes more evident, along with quite a bit more truth about the past, current situations, and the characters in general, including threats, manipulation, and even blackmail. I was really rooting for Cole and Rae, despite the circumstances that were against them. I really loved Rae in this book. She had such patience and love for Cole that it blew me away. She goes though some crap to, the really hurtful kind, but she is quite the trooper, very solid. She knows what she wants and is determined to find a way to attain it. I loved Cole to, but he pissed me off for a while in this book and acted like a total jerk. Granted, he had a lot going on, with tremendous responsibility, but still, I would have liked to slap him a time or two. He has an excuse for some of his behavior, but not all of it. He does get his head on straight and manages to redeem himself before it is all said and done, and I know a lot of what he did, he thought he was handling things the best way he could. (All of this did add a lot more excitement and emotion to the story, however). Then there is Jaxon Hunter. He has his moments in the land of jerkdom to, but I really liked this guy. He kind of stole the show for me on more than one occasion. I could not stand Everett, at all. In fact, if a building fell on his head and squished him it would make my day. We also get to see more of the characters we met in book one, which was fun also, and there are some secrets that have been hidden for a long time that are revealed. There is a new character we meet whose name is Bliss, and she will play a big part in the next installment in the series, which I can't wait to read.
I can't forget to mention the romance, which it is hot and steamy. Overall, this is a great second installment in this series, and is really outstanding. I've totally fallen in love with The Boys of the South Series, and I can't wait to see what Marquita Valentine has in store for us in the next installment. If you are a contemporary romance fan, then this is a series I would definitely recommend checking out.

This is the sequel to Live for You and completes the story of Cole and Rae. Rae is completing her contractual obligations and is on tour with her ex Jaxon Hunter. The Jackson Hunter who in the first book we learned was Cole’s brother that his mother ended up selling to their dad.
I don't know why this book has a higher review than the first one. In my opinion the conflicts and people were so over the top that it makes the book worse. In my review of the first book I ended up with another long review of what I did not like. I am hoping to make this one shorter and just hit some highlights so we’ll see.
My first issue with this book was the addition of Jaxon’s point of view. Normally I like different points of view because you see more sides of the story. This is obviously to involve Jaxon more because his book is next. Unfortunately this just showed me that he his even more of a self absorbed asshole than Cole and I will never read his book. He was trying to convince himself that he wanted Rae and was going to do whatever it took to get her back. What he did was sleep with groupies and have feelings for the assistant wardrobe person Bliss. He was an ass from start to finish with no backbone and was stupid just like Cole in financial and professional decisions. If I were him I would have fired my dad years ago and made sure that he hadn't stolen money.
Jaxon sucks but enough about him. Let's talk about the side characters like Everett, his dad. Everett is abusive and the biggest asshole in the entire two books. I think he is also blackmailing people as well as a sexual pervert sleeping with young women and at least once a too young woman. I don't understand how so many women would sleep with him. And I didn't like him at all at any point. The addition of a villain can make a story better. In this case there were enough people creating enough conflicts that this guy was not needed. He was so over the top horrible that I wish he never existed. It's one thing to make him a bad guy but to give him so many bad qualities was too much. This is all I can say about him because he is such a bad character that it is not worth my time.
The next person is Crystal. There isn't much to say except she was unnecessary. She had not changed from the first book. She is still horrible to Cole and her added storyline was space taken away from the core story for no reason.
What I noticed in the first book about Parker is the same in this book. He was also not needed. He did not add any real value to the book except to be a babysitter for Kelly so that Cole could do something. I barely felt the brotherly love. Parker as a character was not utilized and so not needed in the book.
Finally for Cole and Rae. Because of all the extra characters and drama that was not needed we don't see them as much as we should. They are also apart for most of the book because Everett threatened Cole to break up with Rae. Rae is on tour, sad, and hoping to get Cole back. That and attempting to protect Bliss from Jaxon’s advances is the only this she really does in the entire book. Cole is sad the he had to break up with Rae and is his usual ass self who is too stupid to make any smart or rational decisions. Honestly I would have been ok without this entire book. When Rae and Cole were together they would fight and then have makeup sex and then fight again.
There are other bad parts in the book but it is not worth mentioning. I think I hit at least the main points of what I did not like. Overall I obviously did not like the book. Like the first one the story had potential. The execution was not good. What most of these bad stories need is the characters to be just a little smarter and less over the top drama and people just for the sake of conflicts. It seems like a lot of the books I have read recently have never heard of KISS, Keep it Simple Stupid!

Marquita Valentine continues to be one of my favorite authors. I’m a big fan of her Holland Springs series and after reading Only For You, I think that I may be an even bigger fan of her Boys Of The South series!! I fell in LOVE with Cole and Rae in Live For You (Book #1) and I fell even more in love with them in Only For You.
Marquita is such a sneaky evil little author!! lol The blurb for this book had me hesitant to start reading because I liked where Cole and Rae ended up in Live For You and I didn’t want to see their relationship fall apart. I didn’t want to read a story about Rae making a choice between Cole and Jaxon and that she might actually choose Jaxon. UGH!! But I put on my big girl panties and turned on my Kindle and crossed my fingers that Rae would end up with Cole. I was hoping that their relationship was strong enough after Live For You to survive anything.
This was such a great story and I was pulled in from the very start and I think that it was definitely my favorite of the 2 books so far. It was sad to see Cole and Rae struggle in their relationship due to outside influences. And the story definitely took a different turn than the blurb lead me to believe but I was totally good with that. There was so much to this story and I LOVED every second of it. I enjoyed the different POVs from Cole, Rae and Jaxon. Jaxon surprised me so much because I really liked him and I CANNOT WAIT for his book!!! I’m so excited for his story. I also loved Bliss and cannot wait to read how that story all unfolds. So excited!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED the epilogue!!!

If you have not read Live For You book 1 in this series, I would suggest reading it first so your not lost.
What was on its way to happily ever after for Rae (Violet) and Cole is no longer a fairy tale, the two of them are have problems. When Cole sees Rae as a stuck up princess and doesn't want to be a charity case for her anymore, they fall apart. Now with Rae on tour with Jaxon and Callie things are worse than ever, but Rae wants Cole. Can she get him back; while secrets and lies come out can the two of them put everything aside to follow their hearts? This is the second book in the series and it's just as good if not better than the first one. There is drama, angst, hope, love and steamy sex!! I liked Rae in the first book, in this one I grew to respect her and see what a strong person she was. I was frustrated with Cole in this book, I wanted to smack him a couple times even though I knew why he was doing the things he was doing it still aggravated me. Jaxon oh Jaxon, he is not what he seems I love him and I can't wait for his story, he deserves his own HEA. Callie is a manipulative bitch; I couldn't find any redeeming qualities in her. Bliss intrigued me; she is a mystery with her blend of strength and vulnerability I want to know more. This book is not a sit down and relax read, it's a edge of your seat need a glass of wine frantically reading at midnight so you can find out what happens kind of book. I loved it, Marquita Valentine is a must read and the Boys of the South series is addicting.

Looks like I'm in a minority on this one. Don't get me wrong. I liked the story, I just didn't love the story. It may have something to do with teaching middle school, being surrounded by boy-girl drama all day, and knowing that most of it is BS anyway, so what does it truly matter? This one is packed with drama, not the suspenseful kind. Nope, it's the "if they'd only communicate" kind. It still held my interest. That's mainly due to Cole, he's about the only character with real depth and he's interesting to figure out. The rest? They will be much more interesting when they grow-up a little. They were getting there by the end of the book! While the story picks up where Live for You ended, this one gives you a lot of the missing pieces of both Cole's and Rae's past. It wasn't hard to stick with and I didn't get frustrated reading it (much). It's worth picking up if you've read Live for You first.

This was the conclusion of Violet and Cole’s story. Violet is an up and coming country singer who is leaving to go on tour with her ex Jaxon and his fiancé, Violets ex friend. Cole is getting left behind to help take care of his little sister and brother as well as run the bar that his mother owns but isn’t in the picture. Coles father is Violets manager but he’s definitely out to control everyone around him. Lots of drama and fighting. I’m just glad it ended on a happy note.

When we last left Cole and Violet (Rae), they were well on their way to a happily ever after. Or, so we thought. There are still some bumps in the road ahead, however. We learn in the prologue that Violet is on her own again. Cole left her because she was a stuck-up princess and he didn't want to be her charity case any longer. She's planning to get him back and I hope she succeeds.
"The worst part about lying - knowing you can never take the words back, no matter how many times you apologize. In the grand scheme of things, you're a lying son of a bitch, and you'll always be one."
Things begin to fall apart for Cole and Rae pretty early on in this book. It all begins when her ex and current country music star, Jaxon Hunter and Cole's father and Violet's producer, Everett Mason, show up in town. Jaxon's fiancée and Violet's former best friend, Callie is in tow. I can't say too much about the plot of this book because I don't want to ruin the roller coaster ride. This book has all the drama. You absolutely want to experience it for yourself. There is a ton of family and relationship drama. There's unrequited love. Backstabbing friends. Lies. Betrayal. Hot sexy times. Conflict. Laughter and tears. Total lack of honesty and communication. Absolution.
A lot of new characters were introduced in this book. I loved Jaxon. He was deliciously flawed and I loved him nearly in spite of that. Callie made the perfect villainess. She was a real piece of work. With friends like her, who needs enemies? I want to know more about Bliss. I liked her immediately. She was the perfect mix of soft and strong. She needs her own story. Cole's mom makes another appearance and at least this time she seems to have pulled herself together a little. I still didn't find her particularly likable, though. Everett Mason was a jerk unlike any I've seen in books lately. What a creep.
"No, damn it. I'm not serious. I'm a no-good piece of trash that says shitty things to the girl he loves most in this world. You're right, baby. I'm scared as hell, about a lot of things."
Despite the fact that I wanted to throw my iPad across the room at times during this book, I absolutely enjoyed it. There were so many ups and downs. While I had a pretty good idea how things would turn out in the end, I had absolutely no way of predicting the twists and turns this book would take. I enjoyed spending more time with Cole and Violet and getting to meet new characters like Jaxon and Bliss. I even loved to hate Callie.
Now I'll begin chomping at the bit waiting for the next book, True for You.

Only For You wasn't just Cole and Rae's story. This book was Jaxon's story too. Their lives are so intertwined and now, Rae has some choices to make. Does she go with the familiarity of her past or does she continue to take a chance on Cole?
In Live For You, I fell pretty hard for Cole Morgan. He's rough, tough, and sexy, but there is a soft side to Cole. He's a family man and he takes care of the people he loves. He's also learned early on not to depend on anyone. When he decided to open his heart to Rae, he knew it wouldn't be easy. With her celebrity and his family secrets coming to light, it seems the odds are against them. Despite the challenges their relationship brings, I was happy to see Cole want to take a chance on Rae. And then...things change and Cole makes some decisions that broke my heart. That said, I do think it was necessary for their relationship.
It's time for Violet Rae to go back on tour. She has a career that she can't abandon, but she's torn because she wants to stay with Cole and make a life with him. Their road to happiness hasn't been easy, but she tries her hardest to make things easy for Cole to adjust to her life. I have to say that I've always liked Rae. She's suffered some serious trauma in her life, as well as living in the spotlight since a young age. I felt like she's always handled the difficult times with maturity and grace. One of the hardest tests they have to face is Rae being on tour with her ex, Jaxon. For Rae, she sees only Cole, but Jaxon won't give up without a fight.
For me, I felt like this book was largely Jaxon's story. While Cole and Rae's relationship is a focus, Jaxon nearly stole the show. He wants Rae back and he'll pull out every trick he has to make it happen. Jaxon Hunter isn't exactly who he appears to be. Like Rae, he's been a star since he was young. For Jaxon, it's always been Rae. But, Jaxon's been under his father's thumb and has made some decisions in his past that destroyed his relationship with Rae. I never once felt like Rae had any interest or was swayed by Jaxon's efforts. I was sooo glad about that. Getting to see Jaxon's POV made me understand who he really was and his motivation for getting Rae back. Going into this book, I wasn't a fan of Jaxon Hunter. Now, I'm truly excited about getting to know Jaxon even more.
I have to mention the secondary characters. I absolutely love Cole's brother, Parker. His book can't come soon enough for me. Beau, is Cole's friend and we only see him briefly in this one, but I'm still anxious for more of Beau. There's a new character that was introduced in this book. Her name is Bliss and she's been on tour with Jaxon and Rae. Jaxon and Bliss have an undeniable connection and this book is a great lead into their book. I can't wait to read it!
Overall, I really enjoyed Only For You. I felt like Cole and Rae were finally able to trust their love for each other and enjoy their happy. And I was thrilled with the ending! I was glad to see some "issues" get some closure, although I think said issues will impact the other books in some way. I love this whole cast of characters and the overall story has me hooked. I can't wait to continue on with the series!

Only For You by Marquita Valentine

There aren’t really enough fun and awesome and totally nice words available to properly convey to you how much I loved this book!! Marquita Valentine stepped up to the plate on this one and knocked it right on out of the damn park!! Valentine wastes no time jumping into the story right where she left off at the end of book one, Live For You. Cole and Violet are officially a couple and are completely enjoying what will prove to be the calm before the storm. Violet is a super-star and Cole is a guy who owns a bar and is raising his little sister because his mom is a drug addict. Not exactly who you would expect country music’s darling to be dating. But, Violet doesn’t care – Cole is her man and there is nothing that is going to change that! But sometimes, the universe doesn’t give a crap about your wishes.
For Violet and Cole, their wishes seem to keep being thwarted at every damn turn! First up on the thwarting list is Jaxon Hunter, country music’s Golden Boy and Violet’s craptastic ex. Jaxon is an ass, engaged to the girl he cheated on Violet with and completely focused on getting Violet back in life and his bed. Yep, you read that correctly! Next up on the thwarting list is Jaxon’s dad and Violet’s producer, Everett. In order to avoid spoilers I’m going to go with some people just deserve what they get. Next up on the thwarting list, a multi-city tour for Violet with both Jaxon and Everett. Can it really get any worse? Of course it can but you know I don’t do spoilers
Valentine certainly doesn’t skimp on the drama in this book but it never gets so out of control as to be unbelievable or ridiculous. And there is, thankfully, no angst. I don’t do angst! While Violet is this sort of larger-than-life character she is also a girl in love who is fighting to keep her man. She is all business this time around and I was really, really glad to strength in Violet come roaring to the surface. I still love and adore Cole but he sure makes it hard to root for him in this read. Cole still has the weight of the world on his shoulders, his responsibilities are outrageous and, his and his family’s past come back to haunt everyone. While I totally understand the reasons behind his actions, it didn’t stop me from wanting to beat the hell out of him. Valentine doesn’t make it easy on her characters and with all the twists and turns and crazy drama, I literally could not put this book down until I finished it!
The Bottom Line: Only For You is even better than Live For You and I loved book one! Not only does Valentine complete Cole and Violet’s in this read she totally sets up the next book in the series. YAY for us!! Jaxon and his dad Everett are vital to understanding Violet’s past and her actions in the present but their story has only just begun. Valentine uses Jaxon and his dad to not only enhance the drama of Cole and Violet’s story but also to really introduce the two and their seriously screwed up lives. Valentine seamlessly weaves all of the characters and all of their various tales together into one excellent read. I know we’re not quite to the end of the year yet and it’s not quite time to start assembling my list of favorite reads for the year, but is looking good for the Boys of the South!!!

Rae is on top of the world, she has Cole by her side and is about to sing in his bar for the first time in months. She’s in the back and her past and her future collide together when none other than her cheating ex boyfriend Jaxon Hunter walks through the door with Everett Cole and Jaxon’s dad. Jaxon has his sight set on one thing, and that’s getting Rae back. But in doing so he knows that he must tell her the truth about what he allowed her to believe about their past.
Secrets are revealed about his family that will rock Cole’s entire world, making it impossible for him to be unaffected by everything that has happened and changing after that night that Jaxon and Rae perform together on stage.
Rae wants nothing more than to leave and forget about Jaxon, but Everett has threatened to sue her for breach of contract if she doesn’t not only go on stage and sing with Jaxon but go on tour with Jaxon and her ex best friend who just so happens to be Jaxon’s fiance.

I had a lot of mixed feelings about this book. I absolutely loved Live For You, but this book had me on such an emotional roller coaster that I just couldn’t wrap my head around everything that was going on. One minute I loved Cole, the next I hated him. Then I like her friends one minute and the next I wanted to throw something at them. Then of course there’s Jaxon. Jaxon makes you want to reach through your reading device to shake some sense into him. Just when you think one thing is going to happen, the complete opposite does. One thing I do love about this book, is that it gives the secondary characters a chance to shine through and have books later on in this series. Jaxon nearly stole the show in this book with his story also playing in the background and coming together on tour with Rae. I look forward to the next book in this series and the direction it will go. But for me I just can’t give it a rating on 5 because even though I finished this book yesterday, the story just couldn’t reel me back in after everything was said and done. For that reason I have to give it 4 stars.

Blog Tour Post: The Shadow Realm

This book. Dear god this book. I went through so many different emotions while reading this. I adored Live For You so I couldn't wait to jump into Only For You. I was so happy that I didn't have long to wait between books.
This is the conclusion of Rae and Cole's story and my god does their relationship go through the ringer in this. Nothing is ever plain sailing and that is definitely the case for these two. They go through so much in this and I just kept hoping and praying that they will get their happily ever after. I love these two and I so wanted them to be happy.
I have to say, Ms Valentine is evil! How could you start a book like that?! I had to re-read the prologue twice to make sure I was reading it right. Don't do that to my heart! I was so tempted to just skip straight to the end to see if it ended the way I hoped it would. Luckily I was able to restrain myself. And my god was my heart put to the test. I alternated between wanting to scream in frustration, cry in sadness, and laugh with happiness. The characters frustrated me to no end. I wanted to reach into my kindle and shake some sense into them. It was like watching a car crash. You know whats coming, you know you should look away, but you just can't. This book is just so gloriously addictive.
In Live For You we only got Rae and Cole's POV but in Only For You we are also given Jaxon Hunter's POV. I was all set to hate Jaxon. I really was. But that sneaky little fecker managed to worm his way into my heart. Even though I wanted to bash him across the head so many times, I still grew a soft spot for him. He was so intent on winning Rae back that he was blind to something that was right in front of him. Seriously, why are guys such fricking stubborn idiots? He managed to pull his head out of his ass long enough to do the right thing though. And then at end I find out he's getting his own book?? Hell. Yes. I can't WAIT for this, especially to find out more about Bliss Davenport, who we meet in Only For You.
Also, what the hell is with the parents in this series?? First Cole's mother, now his Dad? I seriously wanted to punch that SOB in the face. I get that the music industry can be ruthless and what not but this guy takes it to a whole other level. The things he has done is horrendous, especially to Jaxon, and I felt so much worse for him and Cole.
I can't recommend this book enough. This series is becoming a new favourite of mine. Full of drama, angst, backstabbing, heartbreak, and some seriously hot southern boys. Your love of all things country will increase and make you dream of finding your own boy from the south.

Rae is also another character I can't help but like. Her secret is now out and she's back to performing. Anyone who's read the first book knows about her ex-boyfriend, Jaxon, her feelings for him, and the ultimate outcome.

She's hurt Cole and wants to win his trust and get him back. But life throws her a curve ball when Jaxon, his girlfriend and her ex-best friend, Callie, and Rae's dad, a music producer, come to town for the fundraiser concert mentioned towards the end of Live For You. Instead of a one night performance, Rae is suddenly on a tour with all people, Jaxon.
Of course, Callie accompanies Jaxon on the road (after all, she is his fiancee) and things begin to get dramatic and crazy. Jaxon isn't the jerk I thought he was and Rae has to search her heart for her true feelings. There's also a new cast of characters we get to meet (future stars of their own books in this series) as Rae embarks on the road trip of her life.
I applaud author Marquita Valentine for giving readers the stories of both guys. I love Cole but in Only For You, I also develop strong feelings for Jaxon. This search--the pull and tug on her heart--which Rae undergoes is only natural in the progression of her career and her life. How can one think about the future when the past is still lurking around? I really liked Only For You. The drama, the searching, the music, and finding the true meaning of love only make me embrace this series even more. I loved Rae's decision and was glad at the outcome. And did I mention a terrific cast of secondary characters to like as well? Wonder who will star in the next book? Write faster, Ms. Valentine, write faster!

The drama, the searching, the music, and finding the true meaning of love only make me embrace this series even more. I loved Rae's decision and was glad at the outcome. And did I mention a terrific cast of secondary characters to like as well? Wonder who will star in the next book? Write faster, Ms. Valentine, write faster!

Seriously, if you don't know by now how much I love this woman's writing, you really don't know me. Ever since she first published her first book, I have loved her writing style. With that said, it's no wonder why I love Only For You. I'm not kidding you, I really think this story is amazing. Before grab yourself a copy of Only For You, you will need to read Live For You. Otherwise you will be like,"Huh".
So, a really quick recap of Live For You: Violet needs to get away from the public scene so she goes stays with her grandmother in North Carolina. She meets Cole Morgan and basically falls in love with him.
Now in Only For You, Violet and Cole need to figure out how to work their relationship around her celebrity status. Granted relationships are not always easy to begin with, but sometimes adding something a little more can cause complications. Of course that wouldn't be the only problem, Jaxon wants her back and is basically willing to do whatever he can to win her. Too bad for him, Violet's isn't willing to give him a chance.
As I was reading Only For You, it was like an emotional punch to the gut as I was watched Cole and Violet's relationship hit some road blocks. It doesn't help that there were some people trying to break these two up. Yes, this is an emotional read, but worth the time. You see two lovers conquering some major hurtles.
Overall, an amazing story. Yes, be prepare for some tissues. Honestly, I wasn't expecting water works, but I got to a point where they just came. Marquita did a fantastic job with the unknown. I knew there was a happy ending waiting for me, but getting there was rough. So, if you have been looking for emotional new adult reads, you might want to give Marquita's Boys of the South a try. You will need to read the first book, before jumping into Only For You.

This book picks up right where the first one, Live For You, leaves off. I fell in love with Cole in the first book and just really wanted him to find happiness. Who wouldn't fall in love with him? He's sexy with a rough and tough side, but has a loving and responsible side too. He was really dealt a crappy life, but he did what he needed to do to keep everything together, including taking care of his very little sister. He found his happiness in Violet, that's for sure, but there were so many things that came between them. There were several times I was reaching for the box of Kleenex throughout the book.
While I was reading, I kept thinking that Violet would end up getting back together with her jerk of an ex, Jaxon. I would have thrown my Kindle if that happened. Although he seemed to really want to be with Violet, he allowed things to happen to in the name of his career that he should have. Then to think that forcing her to tour with him and his new "fiance" was just cruel. Thankfully, I never felt that Violet was willing to rekindle things with Jaxon. In the end, he found his happiness...at least I think he did (that part of the story can easily be continued in another book, which I hope is planned).
To say I was on an emotional roller coaster is an understatement, it was maddening. One minute I was crying, but within minutes I was either smiling or yelling "NOOOOO!". Once I started reading this book, I had a hard time putting it down.
And then there are the secrets, so many life altering secrets..... GRRRR! Most of the secrets were family secrets for Cole and Jaxon, but it affected so many people's lives. I was so frustrated by them all. How can people be so selfish and think they can do anything? Those secrets rocked Cole's world and torn he and Violet apart. You'll have to read to find out if love was strong enough to overcome it all before the end of the book.

I loved the first book in the Boys of the South series and was excited to get the opportunity to read an early copy of Only For You with the promise of an honest review.
I totally loved Only For You. I love getting to re-visit characters and I was especially happy to get more time with Cole and Violet. In Live For You, book 1 of the Boys of the South series, we got a happy for now ending for Cole and Violet. They were together, but you didn't really know what might happen next.
Violet must go back on tour because of contractural obligations, which means she will be on tour with her ex-boyfriend Jaxon Hunter, who just happens to be Cole's brother. Jaxon totally believes he is still in love with Violet and has it set in his mind they belong together. Thanks to Cole's asshat of a daddy, Cole breaks up with Violet mid-tour. I'll be honest, Cole really made me angry through much of this book. I understood why he was making the choices he made, but was still made at him. Surprising enough, it is Jaxon who steps up to help out Cole. Jaxon is also sick of being pushed around by his father (Cole's father too), and gives Cole the ammunition he needs to be free to be with Violet.
Violet never stopped loving and Cole, and even when he was messing up royally, Cole never stopped loving her. I honestly think all the trials they went through in this story only made them love each other more and stronger as a couple. I have to say the epilogue was my favorite part of this entire story. It gave me the HEA I was looking for and only made me love Cole and Violet more than I did before.
I also have to say I fell a little bit for Jaxon (Jackson) in this book. I can't wait to see what happens with him in the next Boys of the South book.

You should know right from the start I am not normally a contemporary, New Adult reader. I read and write historicals, Regency romance to be exact. But after friending her on Facebook and Twitter, and reading the premise-hot young tortured men-why resist? I read her first, Live for You, Boys of the South, and loved her style of writing, hot sexy and honest. Needless to say, I ordered and read, Only for You, the finale of Violet/Rae and Cole's story.
I loved Cole. You feel for him, his self doubt and his insistence that he wasn't good enough for a girl like his Rae. Plus, how could you not love a young man who takes care of his baby sister, brushing her hair and making sleep over dates for her? Sigh.
Rae is a conflicted character and Ms Valentine has given her a maturity that came from the struggles she dealt with; a boyfriend who cheated on her, and a car accident while she was drinking that caused her to suffer a traumatic injury.
She can't understand why Cole pushes her away and back into the arms of Jaxon.
And Jaxon-yes he plays a major part in the story and you will find out some facts that will make you understand why he did what he did. He wants Rae back so badly he's willing to do anything to get her back.
So who does Rae end up with-Cole who pushes her away, or Jaxon, the man who wants to take her back?

When Live For You ended, I never would have imagined Violet and Cole's journey to their HEA to be so rocky. I'm glad that Valentine wrote this sequel to their story, it was beautifully done. Their journey was rough, the drama, secrets, and problems were numerous...and yet I loved Only For You!
I loved seeing these two work out their problems. I love seeing Jaxon ans how the “brothers” fit together. I very much look forward to Jaxon's book. He's more complex than I originally thought, and I'm curious as to what his story is.
Sexy, emotional, and very addicting, I find I can't stop reading Ms. Valentine's books. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and will be waiting, impatiently, for the next book. I dare you to not fall in love with the Boys of the South—it's impossible!

So they end up breaking up while she is on tour. Everett threatens cole to break up with Rae. A lot of drama happens. Rae never stops loving cole and same with cole. When it says in the book description about her choosing cole and Jaxon... I think the author should take that out because there was no choosing. Rae never gave up on cole and never did she even think about ever getting back with Jaxon. Jaxon always tried getting back with her but she never even bit back. Everett is a scum bag. He sleeps with all the young girls including Callie. Jaxon cheating on Rae was a lie. But still by the time Rae found out the truth she was already over Jaxon and in love with cole. In the end cole proposes and they get their HEA. they have a daughter and a son on the way. They had someone carry their children since Rae can't conceive. Also in the end Jaxon gets wasted and the next morning he is in bed with bliss and bliss has the ring he was going to give Rae. They got married while he was drunk but bliss was sober. What will happen between them?!

This book was an improvement from the first one. Cole was an idiot, a supreme idiot, and Violet/Rae was like a victim, so that annoyed me a bit.
On the bright side, Bliss was adorable and her relationship with Rae was the best part of this book, I even got the next book hehehe.
I did like this book but not enough for 4/5 stars.

Start of a world tour reunion violet is forced on the road with her no good cheating ex, Jaxon Hunter.
Cards are forced and dealt and blackmail seems to be the game.
Cole breaks up with violet right before tour and vows to never talk to her again. Jaxon vows he's getting her back and a newcomer forces violet out of his head.
Schemes is the result. After realizing that violet is no longer his Jaxon helps his brother get Rae back.
This is an absolute must read! I couldn't put this book down! Can't wait to read more on the series!!!

Loved it just as much as the first book. I like that Rae and Cole didn't just end up together, they deal with real life struggles. I also enjoy that there's depth to all the characters not just the main ones. Initially I hated Jackson but by through out this book you learn more about him and why his is the way he is and although I might not love him the way I do Cole, I do like him a lot more than I did in the beginning.

I loved Cole and Rae's conclusion. Cole struggles with keeping his family together as Everett threatens to take everything away if he doesn't give up Rae. Rae goes back on tour after Cole breaks up with her, but for months pines after him. They are two lost souls trying to find their way back to each other. Cole has been dealt a crap hand at life. Finally he catches a break and is able to get the love of his life back. I look forward to Jackson and Bliss's story.

Cole and Rae...needed this journey to find their happy ending. Totally hate Everett and I wanted him to go down hard!!!! Maybe in the next book? Jaxon is a jerk but Jackson is the complete opposite and I can't wait to see him grow. Read it!! The series is going to rock!!!

Arrrh
Still feel a little torn on these two. They were great characters, but I was hoping it would be more about them, with more drama around all the secrets. The build up I don't feel was finished off well enough. Their just seemed to be a lot going on at one time. I do love double p.o.v's though.

Violet and Cole are one of my favorite couples. I fell in love with them in Live For You and I was super excited to finish their story. This story has everything you could be looking for and it is heart-wrenching. Reading it will not disappoint.

This is the completion of Cole & Rae's story.
Cole & Rae have a very hard road to travel. We also see Jaxon's story in this book & we meet Bliss. I think I am really going to like Bliss! And I loved the end of this book!!!
