This was a very informative book on the beauty secrets of Old Hollywood. Being a lover of vintage style and beauty, I was surprised at how much I LEARNED from this book specifically about beauty practices that glamour girls from the past followed and believed in. A major complaint of mine is the book doesn’t delve into women of color from the past and their practices such as Dorothy Dandridge, Lena Horne, Dolores Del Rio, Anna May Wong, etc. And the book was very limiting in only addressing a certain hair type and skin complexion.
