Jack Spencer has more to worry about than being kicked off his high school's basketball team. He uncovers suspicious circumstances surrounding the car crash that severely injured his mother and learns of his father's arrest for fraud. Jack's dad is tough on him, but he has learned to live with it. For the most part, he has it pretty good. Jack is a star player on his high school basketball team with everything going for him-scoring records, popularity and an easy path to a college scholarship. Almost as fast as the crash that put his mom in the hospital, everything Jack believes in starts to crumble. His only hope is to discover what's really going on, and quickly. If he doesn't, Jack may lose much more than a basketball career.

This was an amazing story about an amazing basketball player named Matt. This was amazing for 1 reason that reason was because this shows you how even though you are really good at anything like Matt is at basketball anything can happen to you or someone else and cause you your talent. There was just one problem it kind of got boring at the end of the book, but before that it was a well descriptive and interesting book. To rap it up, it was a great story overall. I would recommend this book to people that are interested in a tense book with a little humor that is a sports book.

Titan Clash is a book mainly about a boy named Jack. The book starts out with Jack’s first basketball game of the season. Before the game started, there was an event going on. The event was that a car dealership was giving away a brand new truck. I takes place mainly on a basketball court.

My book is called the titans clash. It's by Sigmund Brouwer. It's based in Turner Indiana The main characters are Jack, Ike Brothwell, Jack's Dad, Ted Brothwell, and Tom Sawyer. I found this book because i was looking for a sports book that wasn't too long but also it had to be interesting. So I ended up finding this book that looks like it's about sports but it's really not.

The book started with Jack playing basketball. It introduced all of the main characters in the start because it was the opening day for basketball and everyone was there. The next day after the game Jack was at school and the principal called him down to the office. He had told him terrible news, his Dad was in jail for stealing half a million dollars from his work. This was terrible news to Jack because his mom was in the hospital too because of her brakes failing and got in an accident. The next few days were really weird for Jack because everyone was talking about him and his Dad being in jail. All of a sudden his basketball coach decided to cut him from the team and wouldn't say why but Jack knew why, his Dad was in jail. He was really mad. Later that night he got a call and they asked if he wanted more information about his Dad being in jail then going to a 7/11. So he did and waited for an hour but no one came so he went home. When he got home someone pointed a weapon to his back, tied him up and ran away. They broke into his house looking for something. He called the police and Ike. Ike was his Dads boss who knew it wasn't his Dad who took the money. After that the police decide it would be safest if he lived with his friend for a while until it's safe again. Then Jack got an idea and searched Tom's house and found a cuckoo clock and broke it open and found what the robber was looking for. He called Ike immediately and they went to his brother Ted's house Ted and asked if he knew what it was. It was just a bunch of numbers and stuff. Ted pulled out a gun and confessed to everything. It was him who stole the money and broke into Jack's house. He locked both Jack and Ike up in a shed and tried leaving. They got out and called the police and they caught him and freed his Dad. Jack's Dad ended up being the basketball coach and Jack got to play basketball again and his mom finally got out of the hospital.

The book I think ended in a good way. It ended with Jack's Dad getting out of jail for something he didn't do, His Mom got out of the hospital and he got to play Basketball again. I think there really couldn't have been a better ending to this book because it tied up all the loose ends and it had a good ending. I do think my favorite part in this book was when Jack and Ike both were stuck in a shed because Ted locked them there and they had to find a way out. They had an idea and Jack had to make the free throw of his life and make it in the sunroof of Ike's Truck to cause a fire for the fire department to go get them. It ended up working and I thought this part was really cool.

In my opinion i would give this book a ⅘ stars. I say that because It had some room for improvement. I do think it was kind of rushed in the end but the rest was good. I think other books like this would be either detective books or basketball books because it has both of it in there. I think people who would like this book would be people who enjoy suspense and mystery books.

This is a good rapid read. I think students will appreciate the ways the world is unfair despite you not having anything to do about it or to resolve it. The basketball backdrop is useful and ties in nicely with the structure of the story.

The book was crazy, hilarious, and serious all at the same time! I've never read a book quite like "Titan Clash".

With his mom in the hospital, and his dad wrongly accused and stuck in jail, Jack is starting to feel like everything has turned against him.
Jack is a star on his high school basketball team, and he's used to life running as it should. But somebody is after his family, trying to ruin each of their lives, it seems. There's so many questions that Jack has, but to answer them, he's going to have to get out from dangerous situations, decide who is telling the truth, and even save his best friend from some odd events.

I really liked this book. In every chapter there is some new & interesting element, or surprising twist to the story. Can't wait to read more of Sigmund Brouwer!

It was okey. I mean the first 50-70 pages were really good. But then the book started to get a little boring. Its about this guy who playes High school basketball. He is proably the best kid on the team. But his home life isnt to good. His mom is in the hospital and his best friend gets send to the Dean office every other day. But he still plays basketball untill, his dad gets taken to jail and the guy gets cut from the team beacuse of the reputation that the family gets after the dad gets thrown in to jail.

I think the book titan clash is a well written book but it has the plot of a lot of books. the book is about basketball and crime i think the idea of giving the pick up truck free to get the name out there was great. I feel bad for jack's dad he got blamed for steeling millions but it made the book very interesting and his mom being sick really made it interesting his mom was in the hospital and dad in jail i would recommend the book

Read this to try Orca Publishing's Hi-Lo books (High interest, especially for older teens, low reading level). It did what it was supposed to, drew the reader quickly into a fast-paced story (mystery) and laced it with good descriptions of the cover sport. The plot wasn't very complex (sub-plots and additional characters are kept to a minimum), but I think it is great for reluctant readers.

This book had a lot of action going throughout it, and that is one the reasons I liked it so much. Jack is the star of his high school basketball team and has a lot of good stuff going for him. Then, a lot of things start to go bad for him. First, his mom gets in a very serious car injury and has been hospitalized for a long period of time. After that, his dad gets accused of stealing half of 1 million dollars from his best friend and gets sent to prison. And when it seems that nothing could go worse, he gets cut from his basketball team for no reason. The book ends up good with Jack's father getting out of prison because he was wrongly accused of stealing the money, and Jack gets put back on the basketball team. In this book, I think that Jack learned to look on the bright side of things no matter how bad they are.
