I think this book is a good book to read. I think it is a good book because it talks about how David came from Canada and came to Miami, Florida and runs track. When David's family moves from northern Ontario to Miami, Florida, it takes him a couple of hours to discover how out of place he is in his new neighborhood by getting his brother a "toy" water gun for his birthday present. When he gets into his new school, he joins his school's track team, hoping to make new friends, but soon he is pulled into a school secrecy of danger. So, if i had to rate this book i would rate it 5/5 stars because it is a good book.

i really liked reading this book. it kept me interested. It made me want to find out what happens next. i would definitely reccamend this book. I thought it had a good storyline to it, on keeping the reader interested. There isnt a boring part in the book. This book is about a boy named David who just transfered into McKinley High School. He lived in Canada before he moved to Florida with his family.David's dad is a doctor, who wanted to move to Florida to help people who couldnt afford good medical care.

It took David less than a day to realize out of place he is in his new school, and niehborhood. He joins his school track team, hoping to make new friends. Soon he is put in to a school-wide web of secrecy and danger. The only person who can help him keeps running away.

this is a really intense book. once you start reading this book you cannot put it down. It is a really interesting book, but I think it would excite anyone over the age of 16. It was an easy book to read, but i made the best of it, and liked it.

A great sports-themed book from Sigmund Brouwer.

David Calvin is new in school, and quickly learns things are much different in this Florida town than it was in Canada for him. The plot deals with a poor community, gangs, and knives in school. But in the end, God's will shines through for David, to show him he's in the right place.
