Too much is never enough… Alan John’s sexual appetite has exhausted every woman he’s ever dated. Guilt-ridden following a brief fling with a married woman, he’s chosen to abstain—until he spots Emily Carmichael at an ice cream parlor. A lifetime of romantic disappointments has left Emily too depressed to respond to Alan’s overtures. He writes his number on a napkin, insisting she call him if she ever changes her mind. When Emily realizes what an opportunity she’s missed, she can’t find the napkin—or Alan—anywhere. In desperation, she asks her brother if he knows anyone named Alan. An hour later, her brother arrives with the right Alan in tow. Alan is the most insatiable man Emily’s ever encountered, and he’s exactly what she needs. But will a secret involving a former lover destroy their newfound bliss? Book 2 of the Unlikely Lovers series of steamy contemporary romance by Cheryl Brooks, author of The Cat Star Chronicles series and the Cowboy Heaven series.

This book was pretty much all about sex, I did like the little bit of story we got to see about Emily and Alan, and I have to say this is just a story it's not meant to be real so anyone who says well Alan should see a doctor or that it's just not believable... It's not meant to be! I have to say I did like the book the characters were interesting if a little left of centre but I think it was just a it over the top with the amount of sex.

This book is bizarre! unfortunately I could not finish, I gave it a good try and made it just over 60% but this was the least romantic love story I've ever read! the sex was strange and very unrealistic. I found the first book in this series was much better, it had a decent story line where as in this book I just don't see where it is going :(

If you've ever longed for a lover who was always ready and rarin' to go, Alan John is your man. Emily liked him, too. ;)

There were some very funny parts of this book. But the writing was a little average to me.

Although Emily mentions it a couple times, I wonder if Alan shouldn't go to the doctor to get checked out. I have never heard of this ever happening with any guy. I don't even know how it would be possible. Also, to not care about sports at all. I'd wonder if he was missing some testosteron. But, I did like reading how Emily would prove that she wasn't like the other women who'd run out on him.

I knew the moment he talked about his last encounter before he decided to abstain for the past year, who he was talking about. it was so obvious. Small town, her bother lives across the street, Carol turns out to be her sisters friend. How he did't put two and two together is beyond me.

Anyway, it was okay. quick read and funny in parts.

*** Spoilers ***

TMI!
Really there was way "Too Much Information" about both Alan and Emily in my opinion.
I did not want to read about Emily's bladder infection or yeast infection,
No Seriously, I could have done without the constant mentioning of it.
And to make matters worse, the story was,
Insecure Guy meets Depressed Female.

And, the real kicker or the worse part in my opinion, was that Alan slept not only with
a married woman, not only two married women but he slept with Emily's mother!
It was mentioned in chapter 24, I don't care if it happened before he met Emily,
it was still a turn off for me..

This book was so out there and over the top.
I did not enjoy this book/series like I have enjoyed other books by Cheryl Brooks.

Extremely Disappointed
