This was an interesting book about criminals finding love, it was good but I did loose interest towards the end as it felt a bit repeatative.

An interesting read on prisoners finding and maintaining relationships while behind bars. Told from both perspetives - those locked up and those who love them.
Shows how life and relationships are affected by all those involved when someone goes to jail.
Would love to read more on the psychology of those who "meet" and fall in love with those already behind bars. They only seem to develop their relationships and how the prisoners present themselves which can be easily manipulated. This whole subject intrigues me

This covered a lot about the day to day lives of criminals from all walks of life, particularly focusing on the inmates relationship woes.
It was definitely a different type of true crime book from what I'm used to, with little focus on a lot of crimes and a lot of focus on love and prison life.
I loved how each major chapter had a focus and then was split up into sub chapters.
"Lady Killers" was by far the most interesting for me, but overall an enjoyable read.

This was an interesting read, and I liked the fact that the stories were all very different and many were told from both points of view - the prisoner and the person waiting for them on the outside. The author was able to present each set of circumstances with empathy and a lack of judgement and for those who've never committed a crime worse than the cliched parking ticket, it really is an eye-opener to another side of life entirely.

Enjoyable is probably not the word I'd use for this book - illuminating and thought provoking would be more descriptive, but I must confess there is only so much 'true crime' I can read before I develop a mad urge to read David Sedaris or Nick Earls to cheer myself up.

This book offers fabulous and fascinating insights into relationships centred around prison inmates, including people on death row. It's real life stuff, which makes parts of the book even more confronting. A great read which will take you places you never imagined and show you the day to day struggles of people trying to keep relationships alive with the prison bars in between. Highly recommended.

Loved this book - a fascinating look at the lives of Australians who are in relationships with people in prison. Well written, engaging and definitely an eye opener. Stunned to discover that 93% of women in prison have experienced some form of domestic violence.

This book was interesting and fun to read! I read it on my honeymoon, lying on a beach in Mauritius. It was an easy read; and a second would be appreciated.
