Leaving Manhattan for the suburbs was never in my plans. Moving in with my boyfriend doesn’t even take the sting out of giving up the city I love.
Adding in two surprise roommates to our new home isn’t helping either. All of us were supposed to be past that stage of life. My goal was marriage. I was convinced Brad and I were on that track.
Instead our best friends are giving both of us all kinds of other options. After being with three guys, I don’t want to go back to a regular kind of life. No matter who tries to break us up.
My Three Roommates is a standalone mmmf why choose romance with MM. HEA ending, no cliffhangers!
I’m sure it was fine but this was a DNF a for me. If you’re expecting the MM to be on page, you’ll be disappointed. The first scene between Tanner and Cody wasn’t on page, it wasn’t even fade to black really because the author cut it off at the very beginning - not even a kiss. I had to dnf it for that alone because the MM was supposed to be a big part of the story. I wondered if it got better but couldn’t be bothered to finish the book.
Only found out about this new release by Bianca Vix two days prior to it being available. I like those short wait times.
From one of my favourite authors of MMF, MMFM another great read. This one took a bit to establish the chemistry between the main characters and they were thrown a lot of obstacles to their HEA. But in true fashion of this authors writing abilities the journey from start to finish in this love story is fast paced, interesting and very steamy.
I should probably just give this one star and look away but It had the potential to be great if it was longer and the relationships between the characters was established more. The thing with me and poly romance is I like for them to have a « found family » vibe and because of the abrupt ending here it’s seriously lacked in that aspect plus there was no conclusion whatsoever. The side characters pissed me off, the company that sacked one of them for being gay/ the other company that sacked them again for allegedly cheating made me want to rip my hair out of the roots and honestly I just see no future with the characters The smut was spitting though so womp womp I guess.
“Hey, Cody.” Brad’s voice booms out from behind us. “What brings you by?”
As I disentangle myself from Cody, he and Brad shake hands. At least they’re friendly. I couldn’t stand it if my bestie didn’t get along with my boyfriend.
“I was just about to tell Kenna. Say hello to your new roommate,” Cody chimes in, interrupting my thoughts.
Brad frowns. “New roommate? You mean Tanner?”
“No. Me. I lost my apartment,” Cody says, still cheerful as he heads straight for the living room, casually flopping down on the couch.
“You’re kidding. What happened?” I ask him.
He laughs. I’ve always liked his smile. His perfect teeth. He could easily have been an actor, he’s just that good looking. His dark, tousled locks cascade over his eyes. The style suits him completely. It’s the total opposite of Brad’s cropped sandy blonde hair.
“One of the dumbasses in my building did something really stupid. He keeps hanging his clothes from the sprinkler head. He’s been warned about it many times. It broke off and flooded the entire floor. My apartment’s right below his, so it got most of the damage. Would you believe he decided to hang a sleeping bag from it? Then he went out and left it, so by the time anyone found out, the damage was done.”
Cody brushes a few rogue strands of hair away from his eyes. “I’ve got to be out of my place for who knows how long while they’re assessing and repairing the mess. It’s very last minute and there’s no way I can get a hotel in Manhattan now. His ocean-blue eyes dance. “So what do you say? Roomies?”
“What about Airbnb?” Brad’s less than hopeful.
“I checked,” Cody says. “Summer in New York though, right? Everything’s been booked up for months already, just like the hotels. I have no hope unless you help me out.”
He flashes his infectious smile again. “What do you say, Kenna? Can I stay with you guys?”
ANOTHER 5 STARS ⭐️ FOR BIANCA VIX LETS GOOOO!!! I actually started this book in like… September 😭💀 but school literally took up all of my free time so- but I finally finished it and it was PHENOMENAL!!! I loved the characters! Kenna was SUCH a good fmc! Liked her a lot! Brad ouuu he was just everything 🔥✨, Tanner was an experience that I would have ten times AGAIN, and listen I know I normally don’t like picking a favourite…(me when I lie) but CODY??!?? HE WAS FUNNY, HONEST, OPEN AND SO CHILL LIKE I LOVED HIM SO FUCKING MUCHHH- I’m gonna be honest here and say that there was a plot but it was mostly smut so 😭- but when it was there it was pretty good! What I’ll always commend Bianca for is her character great abilities to communicate with each other and slowly open up, and also having really good dialogue and conversations about polyamory, queerness and bisexuality. It’s so nice to see that as a queer person myself cause representation and how it’s dealt with is super important and I loved how it’s done here! The characters dynamics too!? SUPER GOOD. Each of the characters had a distinct personality and dynamic with one another. I loved seeing how it played out since you wouldn’t be expecting the same thing again and again! It was a treat watching them find each other and themselves throughout the story, even with the people who didn’t accept them or their relationship, (FUCK HOMOPHOBIA 🔥🔥🔥) Moving on from that… THE SMUT!!?!?? SO GOOD SUPER GOOD!!!! Like idk how she topped it for me from the last book I read from Miss Vix but SHE DID IT- I swear I want to be in her mind when she writes those scenes cause their CRAZY HOT- The way I was giggling, blushing and SCREAMING- ESPECIALLY WHEN KENNA WAS COMMANDING, AND THE LAST SCENE OUUU- ✨😭 With all of this being said, I can’t wait until I read another book from her cause she’s on her way to being on my Insta buy author’s list.
Format: Kindle New author: Yes Rep: Bi, poly Keywords: why choose, roommates, MMMF, by awakening, homophobia, bigotry,
Whew this book is bad. I originally gave it to stars because it does have some redeeming qualities, but as a frequent reader of queer romance, I could not get past the problematic elements here. This story has too much plot to be erotica, and not enough plot to be erotic romance. If it had been any longer, it would’ve been a DNF.
The characters are under developed, the intimacy scenes lack all the preparation required for those kinds of scenes, the hate speech and homophobia is rampant and Used as a lazy attempt toward conflict. Nothing about this book has any depth, accuracy, or is it all endearing.
If you’re looking for straight smut? This will cover that. Fast burn? Check. No breakups or sad parts? Check. What really got me to the point where I almost DNFd it was that there was so many grammatical errors. Words missing, names getting mixed up, you name it. There’s not really much of a story either, very vague. There really wasn’t much character development and you didn’t seem to get a feel for the different characters personalities at all. There needed to be more to it. This book has great potential if the author added more to the story and not have it be 90% smut and 10% everything else. Don’t get me wrong I love me some smut, but there was almost too much.
You’re probably here looking to see if you should continue this train wreck… don’t. I promise you will regret being optimistic and having the tiniest sliver of hope it’ll get better.
This book feels like it was written by AI with the prompt “write me a why choose MMMF book that has 0 character development, no plot, annoying side characters and all the stereotypes you can imagine oh and don’t forget to make loads of typo’s” then put through google translate 20 times to fuck up every sentence that might have been well written.
The jump between chapter 13 and 14 threw me off From having a conversation about maybe trying the mmf again and the fourth guy Tanner never having been with Kenna
To her coming home and engaging with all 3 men without any discussion of inclusion or anything
It didn't work for me and I there are too many amazing books out there for me to waste time in something that doesn't click for me
The dialogue is childish. There's way too much attention on Kenna and she gets way too many chapters. Too many MM spicy scenes fade to black- that became super annoying since scenes with Kenna did not get the same treatment. She was the focus of the spicy scenes too which got boring fast. Homophobia is used as a plot point which is old and played out.
The spice in this, holy moly 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⚔️ ⚔️ Sword crossing Bi awakening Why choose M e n a g e RH
Choosing each other, when everyone around them has a problem with it. A housing issue makes them all move in together, and then everything spirals from there in the best ways. It very much gives a less dark version of the Losers duet. Highly recommend!
Everything you learn is through character dialogue and every character pretty much has the same voice. Love the premise and the fact there was minimal drama, though!
Okay not my genre so don't take my review to heart but I felt like it ended so abruptly! It could have used a few more chapters, or some sort of closure.
This book is terrible. The spice is alright but there is no real plot, the characters are blah, and it makes no sense. There is no real resolve. Not a fan.
The romance was good, but having every single person they knew shun them was harsh. It seemed like the author was condemning polyamory. I am not OK with that.
