The author knows how to write well but this is not a romance or a love story. For the first time, I didn't like the h more than the H and don't really want her to have a happy ending either. The h is a penniless, unambitious dreamer who doesn't know what she wants in life and neither is she strong or determined enough to be a good partner. She doesn't have any self respect, ambition or even love or respect for herself or H's passions and dreams. She makes excuses for taking H's money but doesn't respond when he mentions falling in love with her. She doesn't even make the effort to learn his language or think about depriving the child of his/her heritage. I gave up mid way as I really didn't want to read about a rushed "happy ending".
