I really enjoyed the story. The twins, Dre & Landry are masculine and delicious. Mary Jane is easy for me to empathize with. She protects herself from others and the possibility of violence in every way possible. She isn't a confrontational alpha female, but she has learned to hide well. However, it will do her no good in hiding from the 'Blue Moon' and the twins. They are determined to find their mate and keep her for themselves.
There are problems with the writing. There are sections that jump abruptly. Also, a few places where a word is incorrectly placed. It could have been a stronger story if more of the pack & the bride, Lark, from 'Tempted by the Pack', had been included a bit more. Even with these few imperfections I still strongly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a 'Truly Hot Steamy Erotic Adult Romance'!
The pro's for this book absolutely outweigh any negatives!
Book two in the Blue Moon Brides series, Pleasured by the Pack by Anne Marsh was, once again, an intense HOT read, the story of two werewolf Bayou brothers searching for their mate. They do everything together, so why not share their woman? Mary Jane is a shy woman, who wasn’t looking for love, or lust, can these two men change her mind? Is it possible to love and possess BOTH of these alphas?
Once again, Anne Marsh is scorching the pages with her gift for erotic flare! Was it that heat factor that made my concentration a little off or did these two brothers think and act and talk like one at times? I found myself a little confused as to who said what, but, never once did I miss out on the action! Steamy, hot, one of those reads you may NOT want your mother to know you’re reading!
I received a review copy from the author as part of the Blue Moon Brides Tour & Giveaway stopping at Tome Tender December 15, in exchange for my honest review.

I’m not a fan of this author’s writing style or this story. The h is as fragile as glass & useless in a fight. She’s a coward who hides while her own boat gets boarded & her crew fights. The character development & character depth is at best thin at worst nonexistent. As for the romantic aspect in this romance well there is no chemistry between the couple. If you’re interested in reading a dull threesome this book is it. This story was as sexy as a porcupine & not nearly as interesting. I wouldn’t recommend this book & am glad it was free. I enjoyed this a lot up until I had the impression that one of the heroes deliberately lied to the heroine. When she found out she was p*ssed but didn't really make him grovel before she got over her anger. I felt let down by them both.
This is the second book in the Blue Moon Brides series. Landry and Dre do everything together and they expect to also share the same mate. They are drawn to Mary Jane Johnson a bayou captain. Suspecting that she is their blue moon bride they make sure she hires them to work on her boat together with the mechanic Riley. They have to wait for the moon to come out to make sure Mary Jane is theirs. To their surprise the blue moon reveals that Riley is also a Blue Moon Bride but will be the mate of one of the other Breaux brothers. Things turn bad when they are attacked that night by vampires and one of the vampires manages to take Riley. While Dre and Landry work on keeping their mate safe and getting her to choose both of them the pack is called in to get Riley back. Yet again a hot story with lots of action that will keep you hooked till the end with these gorgeous werewolves.
Dre and Landry Breaux know that their mate is out there, they have a feeling that it is Mary Jane Johnson and have a devised a plan to keep her not only safe, but the chance to see if their intuition is right under the guidance of the blue moon and she is their mate. Trying to convince her though that both men are her mates is a bit harder than they realize, but both Dre and Landry have a way to make themselves irresistible to Mary Jane so she can't possibly say no.
Both Dre and Landry have swagger. They are a confident and out to protect both Mary Jane and Riley who is the focus in the third book. I thought that this was a great read, enjoyed that Mary Jane is not quite sure about trusting Dre and Landry and was not overly easy prey.
I think I liked this more than the first one in this series! There was oodles of chemistry between the main characters, delicious alpha-possessiveness x2 (since the Heroes are twins!), one feisty heroine & some good action in & out of the bedroom. :)
I really wish we got some more glimpses into pack life though. Yeah, these stories are short but it's fun to see the interactions between the brothers & how they "interact" with the mates. *wink wink* It would've been cool to see the women hanging out together too. You know, exchanging details on their horizontal mambos with the guys!
Here's to hoping Riley's situation is resolved soon! Poor girl!!
On to book three in the series, Claimed By the Pack! Very excited to see the next Breaux brother, Dag, track down his mate!!
Dre and Landry ... If I were to ever indulge in a threesome, I would want it to be with twins like these bad boys! I must admit that Mary Jane was a bit annoying majority of the time. However, their story was very action filled with a sweet ending!
Writing is very disjointed in all of her books.....like I missed two pages....very Wierd and hard to follow at times....but at same time can't wait for #3
Dre Breaux, Landry Breaux and Mary Jane Johnson give readers a heck of a romp as well as a new set of Breaux brothers to lust after.
This 2nd book proved to be as scorching as the first and also as intriguing as it opened up book 3's premise to entice readers concerning who would find their Blue Moon Mate next.
Just like the first book it is a perfect book if you are just looking for a sexy fun read. I like the characters but there just isn’t enough to really get attached and again there are things that are still very confusing continued over from the first book.
I enjoyed this story even more than the first of the series.
This author has a real talent for making you care about what happens to her characters. I've read books that were 'better' written as far as the rules of grammar etc., but this one still gets 5 stars because I know I'll be re-reading it again and again whereas some of those 'better' written books won't be re-read. Being sucked into the story is way more important to my way of thinking than good grammar.
That being said, I do have a suggestion for the author. I occasionally had trouble following which of the 2 men were doing and/or saying things. Getting someone to help with the proof reading and editing would benefit the story. I have no suggestions for your story lines or characters because as far as I am concerned, you are golden in that regard!!
I completely enjoyed how all the character's thoughts and feelings were so well described. I really felt like I got to know all 3 of them.
This is only the second of the author's books that I have read, but I've just purchased 2 more and intend on reading them over the next couple days. Yay for finding a new 'favorite' author whose name and books will be on my 'have to get as soon as it is published' list. Now I just have to scrounge up the money to buy all of her back list.
The Blue Moon is out in full force showing a shifter group of brothers their designated Mates in this second installment in the series. For twins Dre and Landry they're happy to find their match in the strong-willed boat captain Mary Jane as opposed to the hardened beauty and mechanic Riley. Though Mary Jane's not a conventional beauty they're drawn to the woman behind the boyish clothes though she feels unprepared for the men's mutual erotic appetites. She doesn't believe in the love, care, and concern they express as she grew up in a family of rage that has left her relying only on herself and them having to work very hard to win her over both as a pair and as individuals. Vampires continue to be their enemy and put these designated Mates in danger which leads to a fast-paced story that has them going into hiding to keep the woman they've grown to love safe.
Dre and Landry are opposites in their natures. Dre is quiet but highly sexualized. He's more in tune with his wolf side than his brother and has more scars to prove his closeness to the animal. Landry is a sexy charmer who first gets the girl's attention before bringing her into a relationship with his brother. He's playful and exudes confidence and it's easy to be drawn to the both of them in this steamy and entertaining story.
I received the first three books in the series to review. Will post all three mini reviews on all three books. Mini Review:
Book 1 Rating: 4 bookworms
A little tough to get into, but loved the laid back New Orleans feel to it. Lark is an amazingly strong character which makes it completely okay for her to submit to her man when it counts. I loved all the Breaux brothers. Every one of them has his own character that lets you fall in love with them just enough to have you salivating for the next book in the series.
Book 2 Rating: 5 Bookworms.
I completely loved the idea of the twins from the first book so was SUPER excited to have the two of them together in this one. Even though they are twins, the two men are completely different in the way they take on Mary Jane. It was a fun, VERY SEXY second installment in this series and left you panting for more.
Book 3 Rating: 5.5 Bookworms
Dag has been my favourite character from book one. Oldest and closest to losing himself to his wolf I was rooting for him to find his bride. I felt for him from the word go and couldn't wait for him to settle down with his mate. Which is why I was like jumpy-jumpy; come on already in this book. Riley was just the right amount of stubborn and soft all put into one. I loved this one and is by far my favourite so far... Now if only I had the next one in the series...
As the Breaux brothers’ saga continues, we find ourselves following Dre and Landry, the twins of the pack, and their forever search for their fated mate. When the next to impossible happens, and a second blue moon in as many months shows up, they follow its path, on the lookout for someone’s blue moon bride, hoping that at least one of them will be lucky. When they come across the Bayou Sweetie and her captain Mary Jane, as well as her mechanic and Mary Jane’s best friend Riley, they know at least one of these women is fated to be with someone in their pack. Even though Landry isn’t sure which one should belong to him, he knows they have to protect them both and wait for the rays of the blue moon to guide them to the right one. What they didn’t count on, was finding two brides for the pack. Once again, we find ourselves delving deep into the paranormal where werewolves and vampires live deep in the bayou, and you never know when the loup garou will come find you. As if it wasn’t enough to have to watch out for the gators! Lots of action going on that you definitely won’t want to miss. Will they ever find Riley? If so, will she accept one of the Breaux brothers as hers? Will they ever all find their brides before it’s too late and they find themselves forever in their wolf form? Can’t wait for the next book. Awesome read!
They are two but they are one, twins born to the pack. Will the moon bless them with just one mates or will they be separated for love!
Mary Jane Johnson is running from her troubled past. Being on the bayou is one of the best things that has ever happened to her, she likes the solitude and loves that there is no-one to get between her, the wheel of her boat and the water.
Dre and Landry Breaux are twins they are also more than men. The Breaux twins have a reputation around the bayou and if you believe the rumours they have pleasured their share of women together.
The blue moon is rare but the Breaux brother have been blessed as there has been two in two months and as this second draws near Dre and Landry are drawn to Mary Jane and her boat the 'Bayou Sweetie'. With danger at their door the Breaux bother must act to keep Mary Jane and her friend Riley safe and when the blue moon shines Dre and Landry realise its meaning and know it will take all the Breaux brothers and their strength to bring everybody home alive.
I really enjoyed Pleasured by the Pack the characters are engaging and storyline captures you attention and holds it until the very end.
Another moon has come, and Mary Jane, a local oyster fisherman is desperate for deckhands. Normally she won’t hire men, but when Dre and Landry Breaux, of the Breaux brothers sign on to both crew and protect the women on board, the small boat shrinks with these two alpha males.
While Dre and Landry believed that Riley, the ship’s mechanic, was the one glowing in the moon’s rays, these twins are torn between claiming their bride in Mary Jane, or letting the pack know that another bride is there for the taking.
You can’t help but love these twins – sharing everything and a mate is no exception. Alpha, protective, honest and utterly committed to being everything their pack and mates need – the tension in this story was amped up by the very determined vampires and their determination to snatch the women away. Mary Jane has plenty to come to terms with, and she does so eventually when she realizes that she never has felt safer or more cherished as when she is in the arms of Dre and Landry.
I received an eBook copy of the Box Set Volumes 1 – 3 from the author for purpose of honest review with Tasty Book Tours. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
The Breaux pack of wolves have found a mate for one of them, now it's time for a couple more to find their elusive blue moon bride. Dre and Landry are used to sharing, and they really hope they will get to share a mate as well. Fate smile on them and grants their wish - but there are several unexpected things that happen along the way.
I really loved Mary Jane and Riley - they were both kick ass, independent women that could handle just about everything. But when they take on Dre and Landry as extra crew, things get way beyond their control. Dre and Landry merged into one character for me. While their differences were constantly mentioned, they just did not maintain their own identities for me. I still couldn't tell you which one did what in the book. I enjoy my men standing out from each other, so this was a bit of a let down for me.
The plot was an exciting one. Lots of fighting in the bayou - a location I haven't read a lot, so I loved seeing something different there. I had hoped to see a bit more of the other brothers - they didn't make an appearance until the very end.
Not sure if it was me and I had one very long brain fart through out the entire book or what but it was a difficult book to read. I think I figured it out though. I think the author was writing from a "male" point of view. Several times through out the book she described the 2 heroes as rough around the edges, hardened warriors. Considering that several places through out the book there were words, sentences or maybe even whole paragraphs missing and making it very difficult to follow the story and me having to go back often and reread trying to figure out what was going on or what the characters were thinking or feeling. Writing from a "male' perspective is the only thing I can come up with or else the author just rushed through and did a lousy job of editing this book. The ONLY reason I'm giving it a generous 2 stars is that I've read so many books I can pretty much figure out where the author was going with this story but like I said, I had to go back and reread so many times that it took me twice as long to finish. It is really a shame since the first book was really good.
Overall, I like this series enough to have purchased them all. The setting and the guys in the pack are different from most shifter books I have read (and I read a LOT of them). The vamps are also unlike any others you will likely read about elsewhere.
These are insta-love relationships, so we don't get much character development. What I did like about this story is that the author gives each guy pretty much equal time - a big plus with me because one of the guys usually gets the short end of the stick in menage stories.
Received an ARC copy of Masters Of The Hunt: Fated and Forbidden for honest review that has anthology of 15 books in which this book is included.
Pleasured by the Pack is the second book in the Blue Moon Brides series. I haven't read the first book but there were points in this book that made me wonder if I was missing something that I should know.
While I liked the story, I felt disconnected from it a bit. There were times I feel as if I missed something or maybe I skipped pages. Another issue I had was that I didn't notice that the twins were different. It was almost like they were one and the same so much that I honestly thought it was strictly one person doing everything with the other one left out watching from the sidelines. I am still left with questions so I am thinking that it takes the books being read in order to answer them. Almost like cliffhangers yet not because it is suppose to be end of this threesome couple's story.
What I do like is it showed that wolves can been mean when up against the vamps while still soft when it comes to their mate.
Oh my ….. Reading this, you will need plenty of ice
I do love this series, it keeps springing those surprises on a girl.
And Dre and Landry are a mighty fine surprise.
Their blue moon bride won’t know what has hit her, these boys do EVERYTHING together “wink”
They are given the task of retrieving the packs next blue moon bride. And they need to use the owner if the boat to get closer to her. And the twist in this story, is that they are drawn towards Mary and not their intended target.
We still have the vamp angle, and there is still no redeeming quality to these bad guys.
Mary is a great character, she a little bit of a loner. She is happy with her own company, but seeing the Breaux boys together, makes her want more from her solitary life.
The tension between these three makes for a great read. And the twists in this book makes it and even better read than the first.
This was a very steamy book from beginning to end. The title and cover say it all. We begin this novella with Mary Jane. Mary Jane lives on her fishing boat and has an all female crew. Mary Jane is NOT looking for a man or any men to be in her life. Then, we are introduced to Dre and Landry. Dre and Landry are twin brothers who are on a desperate hunt to find their mate. Their hunt leads them to Mary Jane and her fishing boat. After they scheme up a plot to get her nearly alone, the story heats up from there. These boys really don't take no as an answer because if I can give them anything it's their persistence. When vampires interrupt their play-time and attack things go off the rails. This novella was most definitely full of menage scenes so if that's not something you're into, I would not suggest this book to you.
Meh, it wasn't all that great! I didn't like the Blue Moon Bride Mary Jane selected for the twins Dre and Landry. She was described as a peace maker, the one who avoids conflicts and violence but yet when she comes face to face with the twins, she's all of a sudden got balls, ummmmmm-I don't think so! The way the whole story line unfolded, it felt forced. There wasn't a natural flow of things to where I could grow to like Mary Jane. Nah, I doubt it.
Unfortunately, this only gets a 2 out of 5.
And just because this got a low rating, that doesn't mean I won't be moving on to the next book. I found Dag to be a very interesting brother and I'm hoping this will be his chosen bride. Onto book 3 I begin...
Even better than the first in the series, this was a very good read. I liked that Mary Jane had the chance to get to know Landry and Dre before she made her decision, and I like that the vamps took a more strategic role in the dastardly goings on. I like the love scenes although I wish the author would see them through to completion more often instead of the fade to black effect you get given followed by 'And the next morning...' It's a little disappointing and my biggest 'dislike' of this author.
Landry and Dre are part of the pack and are stunned by the fact that they have a chance to find their mate due to the fact there is a second blue moon in the month. Mary Jane is a hard working boat owner who needs a crew to help with the oysters order. She has no idea about the evil in the bayou. No idea about the blue moon, and is suspicious of the reason Landry and Dre want to help on her boat. This book is even better than the first. Well written and emotional, makes you apart of the bayou.
Finding their mate has been something Dre and Landry have been dreaming about for centuries When an even rarer 2nd blue moon of the month rises in the sky, they know their chance has come.
Mary Jane is a no nonsense fisherman on the bayou, growing up hearing stories about those wild Breaux boys. Needing help on the boat, she has no choice but to hire them on.
What she doesn't expect is 2 hot men getting under skin and realizing she's gotten under theirs as well
