I picked up this beautiful book while we were living in Rome, hoping to capture and preserve that feeling of the city bathed in evening sunlight. Having bought the authors’ New York book last year, I expected a similarly inspiring experience — and I wasn’t disappointed.

In Love with Rome weaves together recipes, stories, and cinematic references with stunning photography that truly does justice to Rome’s magic. I’ve already tried a couple of the recipes, which turned out well and transported me straight back to a Rome. The concept — blending food, film, and travel storytelling — is simply perfect, and makes this book as enjoyable to leaf through as it is to cook from. A wonderful souvenir and a tribute to one of the world’s most captivating cities.

A gorgeous book, a gift for my 70th. Lovely stories, little bits of parts of Rome that I've visited, some I wish I had. Along with, of course, the best recipes from the Eternal City.
