Loving Dangerously #2

Dangerously Yours

Rate this book

The steamy standalone sequel to Dangerously Mine.

Kane Epps divides his life into two distinct parts—before the alien invasion and after. Before the invasion, he had a pregnant wife and a high-powered job. After the invasion, he’s left with only himself and his hatred for all things alien. He channels his bitterness by captaining a vessel of renegade humans—space pirates who don’t think twice about taking what they need.

Princess Sa’Mya is on the run. She and a few trusted advisers fled her home planet only to be captured by the sexy, dangerous Captain Epps. He claims to hate aliens but can’t seem to resist touching her or kissing her…everywhere. As Kane introduces Sa’Mya to ever-increasing, unimaginable realms of pleasure, the princess becomes determined to earn his trust. She’s used to getting what she wants. And this time, what she wants is Kane Epps.

Inside This space-opera romance contains male/male sex scenes, girl-on-girl action, group sex and some good old-fashioned voyeurism.

This was a nice sequel to the first one and focuses on Sa'Mya and her adventures once she leaves the moon planet Sonis and also another human Kane Epps who lost his pregnant wife to the alien invasion and is now a space pirate and hates aliens and then he kidnaps Sa'Mya and her group. And then the usual Erotica stuff happens but also the story is interesting here and over the package turned out to be very nice.

Yeah if you have missed the sci-fi erotica then what are you waiting for just pick this one or it's the first part.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

Dangerously Yours finds us post invasion of Earth, abroad space vessel The Vengeance with Captain Kane Epps and his rag tag team of humans. Space outlaws wanted by the Galactic Council, this crew makes a living any way they can, even with kidnap and ransom plots.

After all, they’re only aliens, and aliens cost Kane his beloved pregnant wife. Only Kane’s latest ‘guest’ may have him questioning all his beliefs. And giving him a heavy dose of the guilts in return.

Princess Sa’Mya can’t believe her luck! The last thing she needs is to be ransomed back to her home planet. She’s on the run for a reason – her very life may be at stake. In the circumstances, it may be best for Sa’Mya to take her chances with this band of Space Pirates. But can she trust them? Especially the captain, given her visceral attraction to him. An attraction which is most certainly not one-sided *smirks*

I loved this erotically charged, action-packed *snorts* tale. My nerdy side was in heaven with all the Sci-Fi elements of the story and my romantic side, which I will deny I have btw, loved the will they/won’t they between Kane and Sa’Mya.

“His Home. Gone. His family. Gone. His former life. Gone. He realized he had something billions of humans didn’t. A new start. He had survived.”

This book is most definitely on the naughty side with a sliding scale towards d-i-r-t-y *winks* We all love one of those reads now and again, don’t we? Yet, you still have a plot-filled story to sink your teeth in to. Can Kane put his ghosts to bed? Can he reconcile his old life to his new one? What is Sa’Mya hiding? Who is she running from? Plus, if you’re like me, you’ll want to knock some heads together at points as well. Hmm, I seem to want to do that a lot when I read – go figure.

Although this is Book 2 in the Loving Dangerously series, it can be read as standalone which is what I did. If you are anything like me, you’ll be so engrossed with this story that you’ll be transported to another time and place. I look forward to reading more in this series and other work by this new to me author.

A fantastically erotic, romantic, and entertaining journey to a galaxy far, far, away! Human space pirates, totally sexy aliens, intergalactic political intrigue, and the right combination of heartbreak and drama make this Sci-Fi Erotic Romance a great read!

Even though the book is sic-fi, I’m not sure that being a fan of science fiction is a requirement for enjoying this book. Though many of the characters are alien, most in this story resemble humans, have many human characteristics, including a full-range of human feeling and emotions. It’s these emotions (combined with a healthy dose of physical attraction) that forge a connection between Kane and Sa’Mya. They are so entirely different in so many ways, but both have experienced heart-breaking loss and are unfortunate victims of circumstance. At its heart, this story is about two characters’ journeys to overcome their differences and find a path towards healing and ultimately the love they both deserve. Kane and Sa’Mya have fantastic sexual chemistry and share some very steamy scenes, as do other characters in the story; this book is HOT!

Though this is the second book in the series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read the first book, Dangerously Mine, but after reading this book, it definitely has a place on my TBR list

I am enjoying this series also. I love science fiction and space. I will admit in the last story I did not care for Princess Sa’Mya. She was spoiled rotten and hateful so I wasn’t looking forward to reading her book as much. However I was proved wrong. I actually enjoyed this book.

It was good to see that overtime I did warm up to the Princess and she did get a wakeup call on her attitude toward everyone and everything. Kane was a good match for her. He hates aliens and blames them for the death of his wife on Earth but he also gets a new outlook on life.

The imagination it took to come up with the different races of aliens and different planets is amazing. I think that is one of the reasons why I enjoy reading it. This was a short read but had plenty action and adventure. The author keeps the story moving along and also keeps you on your toes with some funny moments as well as action or steamy scenes.

I can’t wait to see who the next book is about. I think Jess needs a mate to calm her down.

I love science fiction romance, we get new worlds and species plus it allows authors to write some truly creative plot lines. We met Princess Sa’Mya in book one of the standalone series and I have to tell you that is what made me not like her. In book one Sa’ Mya was an arrogant, selfish entitled B who was one of the heroines antagonist and I have to say that hurt her as far as likeability for me in Dangerously Yours. The story was nicely written, I cried when the Kane’s first wife died and you can understand how he would not want to like or fall in love with an alien princess who does not know how to take care of herself. He leads a crew of earth survivors who have all seen their share of pain. The Princess redeemed herself in the end so all in all I was glad I read it but I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Cutting to the chase: Spoiled princess who thrives when out from under evil uncles control, meets and falls in love with strong widower turned space pirate (he never knew what hit him).

An explosive Sci-Fi novel. AM Griffin manages to draw readers into her world and captivate us with her writing and characters. I think my main praise for Griffin would be her ability to use vivid descriptions to make the reader feel like they are in the world with the characters.

A smooth plot that keeps readers engaged throughout really rounds out the writing for me.

I enjoyed the balance of the Sci-Fi and Romance. I felt like there was enough romance and even humor to cut through the action and conflict.

Wonderfully paced and Multi Dimensional characters really set this novel up for success.

I think the best thing about this novel was that there was quite a bit of suspense that kept me on my toes throughout. Be ready for twists and turns and surprises. This book will definitely keep you in suspense. Usually you get either a Paranormal or a Mystery with your romance. This book does a great job of combining the three.

The relationship between Sa’Mya and Kane evolved at a nice pace. Yes there was attraction from the start, but it was not a BAM I love you type. ; )

Definitely a must read for fans of Sci-Fi Romance!

This novel is jam packed with shocks and twists. It will have you immersed in the world AM Griffin has created. She really does a great job of setting the scene and giving the reader enough backstory about her world.
The characters are very well developed, complex, and multi dimensional which allows the reader to become invested.
AM Griffin’s writing style is very direct. There is no skirting around things.
I enjoyed the Romance aspect. These characters, in the novel had a connection that felt real. I liked the way she developed it along with the characters.

This is a really interesting series with loads of drama. I am not always into Sci-Fi but I thought to give these books a shot. They have a great concept and the world is very well crafted. The characters are engaging, the humans go through loads of drama. It was not an easy invasion.

The aliens are a bit arrogant at times and less than likable. They grow on you and in the end the romances work,

Loads of hot and steamy action to warm a gal up!! Oh yeah, seriously smexy alien lovin!!

As far as the romance went I was pleasantly surprised by how engaged I became in it. It’s HOTT and thrilling.
Characterization was well done and the flow of the novel as a whole felt smooth. I liked the connection I felt to them.
Space Opera/ Sci-Fi Romance at its finest.

I WOULDN'T PUT TOO MUCH STOCK ON THIS, IT WAS SUPERFICIAL AT BEST. I HIGHLY DOUBT THIS WAS LOVE MORE THAN LUST AND I WASNT CONVINCED BY THE PLAY BY PLAY OF THE RELATIONSHIP.

HERO seemed too caught up on his dead wife to be able to move on into a new relationship. He's just a total asshole towards the heroine and I didn't even feel the love. Lust yes. But they barely even knew anything about each other and he jumped to conclusions so easily and immediately abandons her after that. Ughh the relationship building was terrible.

HEROINE was okay. I didn't know her in the previous book but I guess she's acceptable here especially with her unique gold colouring. She appeared spoilt at first to me but then later she becomes more "human" despite being an alien. She's definitely not shy about sex although she's a virgin.

OVERALL it's a guilty pleasure without substance.

I did this one as an audiobook and unfortunately it seems as though some of the book was missing? Right as the main characters are hooking up for the first time It jumps mid sentence/ mid word and goes into the next chapter which goes on about them having had sex - but I never got this scene, which I think left a big hole
In the plot for me.

We also get a sex scene with minor characters, which I don't think was needed for the story development and just fell short.

Unfortunately I didn't like the plot to this one as much as book one and for me the spicy scenes just didn't hit the same.

Better than the first and clearly progressing (slowly) towards better. So I will be continuing with the series (maybe), but only because the beginning of this book was heart wrenchingly sad, and was able to somewhat keep that through out the book, but also allow Epps to move on and make room for a new love. For Princess Mya(?), she grows as a—being and develops more from the spoiled brat we met in the first book.
To be honest, this book was heart breaking in more ways than just the opening chapter. It’s quite dark and many side characters are impacted negatively, and a few don’t make it to the end or are never the same again thanks to the trauma they live through, and it’s all because of one stupid choice the Princess makes. I kid you not, 100% avoidable, but that wouldn’t have made for good reading (apparently). So I’m pissed with how many characters didn’t make it that I had thought would later get their own stories, but instead got only death. It’s lucky it’s getting even 2 stars.

Space Pirates, Aliens and spoiled princesses, abound in this fantastic erotic science fiction romp. I adored Kane from the very beginning, the way he fought to save his wife and unborn children, could endear anyone to him. So his hatred of aliens is very much understood, but then he meets Princess Sa’Mya and she throws him for a loop.

Sa’Mya looks almost human, just with golden hued skin and a self absorbed princess attitude. The attitude is hardly her fault, it’s what people expect from her. I didn’t like her at first but she quickly grew on me and by the end, I loved her.

Their physical interactions are off the charts hot. Really all of the sexual encounters in this book were steamy and so erotic. Ms. Griffin can write some delicious sex. It’s not all about sex, though that is a huge part of the story, Kane and Sa’Mya both grow as characters, they help each other heal and find love again.

This is the second in a series, and I haven’t read the first but I wholeheartedly loved this story. I can definitely attest that it’s an amazing stand-alone story. I recommend this for the hot alien sex with dashing space pirates!

So I read this one right after the first, which I also was not too fond of. I know that sounds silly, but I get a lot of books 2 at a time and once I've committed myself... Well.

Anyway, I really like the ideas of these books. The storylines seem so interesting and original. Unfortunately, I was really looking for romance novels when I got these and I found no romance in either. These books are sex galore. There is so much sex it even seems excessively out of place, but the romance is seriously lacking. The same with the first, this book just seemed to rush into sex scenes before they made sense to the characters. Like she gets attacked, knocked out and kidnapped by a species she already doesn't like and then some guy starts groping her in the dark and she's like "I don't know why, but I want to do this". There was just no depth to the emotions of the characters, no build up and no anticipation. As erotica it may be fine, but I found it in the romance section and as that I think it is lacking.
