Best. Night. Ever.

That is until things get going and you discover you’re suffering from a first-ever case of…performance issues.

Before you can even get a fix on your problem, *Poof* she’s gone and that’s the end of that.

Game over.

Or so I thought.

Turns out, that woman I met two years ago isn’t just some random woman from a club.

She’s my team's new doctor.

As if that’s not already a penalty against me, she wants nothing to do with me now that she knows who I am.

But after our first go didn’t, well, go, I’m determined to prove myself and win a second chance with the woman I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

Especially when she hits me with the biggest surprise of my life.

I know this new game is risky. That it could cost me everything I’ve worked impossibly hard to build for myself. Yet something tells me going up against this irresistible woman is worth the risk.

And I’m ready to play my heart out.

mcs:
- asher, 29, football player
- wynter, 31, former figure skater / orthopaedic surgeon

book info:
- no third act breakup
- omd/owd (see notes)
- one night stand
- second chance
- surprise baby
- forced proximity
- parent abandonment
- cheating (not between mcs)
- he falls first and hard
- HFN (engaged)
- bonus epilogue

Notes:
- OMD/OWD. Asher's shoulder injury was supposed to be confidential, but someone leaked the info to the press, and his PR team wants to drive away attention from this. So they set him up for a date with an influencer so that Paparazzi could focus on something new. Wynter overheard the "date" part only, and she got pissed, hurt, and annoyed by this. tbf, Asher didn't want to go, but he still followed his PR team's decision, and he didn't tell Wynter about this (when he knew deep down he should) Anyway, that same day, Wynter was asked by some guy, and since she's still hurt, she agreed. Wynter and her date went to this fancy restaurant; coincidentally, this is where Asher and his date were set up too. Wynter was enjoying her date (or she was trying) all the while Asher was looking at them seething and raging. OM/OW didn't appear after this.
- Another ow, but not really. Wynter came to their home early, and she heard sounds from Asher and a woman, and when she saw them together, she jumped to the worst conclusion. But this woman is his physical trainer and also married. Asher ran after her and cleared up the matter.

This would've been a 4 ⭐️ read if he was celibate during their "separation." Sue me, I don't like the fact that Wynter's life changed so much because of the surprise pregnancy and that she went through it all by herself (I know it's not Asher's fault) But while she was going through pregnancy and medical school, nothing changed for Asher, and he's probably living his best life.

As for the celibacy, I know he wasn't, and that didn't sit well with me; it's a me problem, obviously. He was so happy when Wynter told him that there had been no one else after their lousy encounter, and he didn't tell her that it was the same for him! he also mentioned during one of their convos that he sometimes (not often) brings women to his apartment 😐 and when they're about to do the deed, wynter opens his drawer and there are condoms in there, and he said he's not been sleeping with anyone for quite a while. If these scenes don't scream that he's not been celibate during the past year and a half, idk what else is needed.

So, they met a year and a half ago in a bathroom, and they had the most unsatisfying rendezvous, and Wynter got pregnant after this. Then they meet again, after Wynter's biological father hired her to treat Asher's shoulder injury. Apparently, Asher didn't forget the night they met, and he became "obsessed" with her and was hoping to meet her again, but they never exchanged names, and he doesn't know how to find her. He was shocked to see her again and a bit disappointed because she didn't remember him.

Anyway, this ice queen behavior of Wynter didn't deter Asher. He flirts and invades her personal space all the time, trying to make her fall for him. He got it so bad for her, and he's acting like a clingy golden retriever all around her. If he's not hot and good-looking, this behavior is definitely creepy, but he's Asher Reyes, and everyone loves him. 🤷‍♀️

Then, when he confessed to Wynter that they'd met before, she told him that night that they had a kid, Mason. I'm glad she didn't hide it and offered to let him know about his son. After this news, Asher acted even more like a caveman, asking her to move in with him to spend time with his son (also with her). She agreed, but she put some boundaries between them since she has issues with ball players, thanks to her cheating-absentee father.

Of course, with the forced proximity and Asher's relentless efforts to win over Wynter, she eventually gave in to the attraction until they became an official couple. This book is disgustingly sweet, borderline cheesy, and corny, but I dig it. though sometimes I cringed with Asher's line because he really knows how to use flowery and swoony words, but that's my issue. Like I said he's so down bad for her, and he knows she's it for him.

But my issue is that for someone who wants to earn Wynter's trust, Asher sure as crap doesn't know how to be truthful to her, especially if the concern affects not just him but also Wynter and their son. He did two dumb things in this book, and I really want to smack his head. He knows Wynter's trust is fragile, and lying and hiding things from her won't work in his favor. Yet Asher still opted not to tell her anything and let her find out the info from other people. He's lucky that Wynter is trying to get over her trust issues by giving him another chance. I think it helps too that he's sincere with his apology, and he opened up to her and showed his vulnerability.

As for Asher and Mason's relationship, it's adorable reading how he's being a doting father to his son. He's so head over heels for him after finding out his existence, and he really is excited to be a father. He put in a lot of effort to make Mason and Wynter's living arrangements as comfortable as possible, and it's just too sweet to handle.

Overall, this is an okay read. way too sweet and cheesy for my liking, but I like Asher's devotion to Wynter and Mason. I liked the found family aspect, and there's no third-act breakup. still enjoyed it all the same.

PS: The last book is about Lenox, a second chance trope again  😑

=====================================

Self note:

- Second chance romance
- Sports romance
- MMC is a manhoe (implied from previous books)
- The MCs had ONS two years ago and she got pregnant
- They meet again, she's a surgeon hired by his team.

Not really a great start (for me) because of his reputation and the second chance trope. But I like Ms. Saman's books so I'll still read this. Hope it's not disappointing and rage inducing. 😅

pffff asher is super annoying. he didn’t get the difference between golden retriever and clingy. if a man would act like him in real life you better believe i would be getting restraining order🤚🏻 wynter supposed to be some ice queen but she’s already gone for asher so i don’t feel like continuing. also i think he wasn’t celibate even though he keeps saying he couldn’t stop thinking about her for one and half a year 👎🏻👎🏻

also i read the scene i saw on tiktok and it was more emotional on tiktok but it didn’t impact me here☹️

It was good. There was a LOTTT going on with the characters lives like she was a gold winning Olympic ice skater, plus she graduated at like 16, went to Harvard and Yale and was now a high in demand surgeon.
He was in an extremely popular band where he made millions while in college then got drafted in the NFL???? Like what???????

Anyway the author was clearly a good writer aside from the extreme backstory lines. I regret reading this one first bc there’s 2 other before it.

ALSO: the smut scenes werent good and they had overused terrible nickname for eachother

This was almost perfect. Almost. Better than most secret baby trope stories.
The heroine was hard to crack emotionally and she had reasons to.
The hero was a good guy but he still had things to learn.
Together they eventually made a great couple after communicating their issues.
Loved seeing the hero as a dad. He was all in and it was refreshing.

"People enter your life when you least expect them. I never saw her coming. I wasn’t even looking for her. But I’ll forever be grateful to the universe, which brought her to me not just once but twice."

I've read and enjoyed some of the previous books in the series and this one pulled me in right from the beginning! Asher & Wynter had an insane amount of chemistry and when their opposite personalities clashed, chaos was bound to ensue. Asher was such a wholesome character, he was funny, cocky and sometimes was a lot to handle but he could also be mature, understanding and super patient. I loved his goofy side as much as I loved his serious one! And I could relate so much with Wynter because she was somewhat like me, withdrawn and a bit apprehensive but still had a soft heart. She deserved to be happy and needed a person like Asher to draw her out of her shell and give her the emotional support and security she needed. Overall, this book was unputdownable and it got me out of my reading slump. The banters between Asher & Wynter were so entertaining and Asher's replies were smooth as butter, which made me melt into a puddle lol! Also, the small moments with Mason were so cute and I wish we had more of them. The ending felt a bit abrupt and the epilogue could've been written better but still, I really liked the book, it was delightful and I can't wait to read the next one in this series!

DNFing 25% of the way in. I really liked Asher as a side character in the other books, but I can’t stand him in his own book. He can only think and feel with his dick apparently and talks about nothing but sex with the FMC. His only mission is to get into her pants. He doesn’t express much interest in getting to know her as a person. Spoiler alert, or maybe not, when he finds out he has a son, he still only is talking about having sex with her again. And he’s throwing his baby in the air upon meeting him and when FMC expresses concern he pretty much tells her to calm down and he’s a football player so he won’t drop the baby. 🙄 he’s way too cocky and full of himself in the worst ways. He was such a man child. I cannot read more. Onto the next. Hoping I like Lenox’s story more.

I am in love with this series, and Asher’s story was anticipated and not a disappointment. Irresistibly Risky is book four in the series, it does stand alone but is better if read in order.

Asher and his team have just won the Super Bowl. They are celebrating on a private floor when he and Wynter cross paths. After a night, they part ways, but Asher realizes she is special. But their paths do cross again; she is now part of his team but does not remember him. I loved the story as it takes off from here. Added bonus is catching up with the Central Square guys as well.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

- Sports Romance
- NFL Player X orthopedic surgeon
- Single Mom
- ONS
- Forced Prox

Irresistibly Risky is the fourth book in the Irresistibly Yours series and while it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading them in order as the characters from previous books make appearances in each.

If you like a man with golden retriever energy, you will love Asher Reyes. I loved the banter between him and the sassy FMC Wynter. I also really enjoyed how this read felt like more like a lighthearted rom-com while also having a decent amount of drama to keep it interesting. I did find some parts to be predictable, but there was also quite a few twists I didn’t see coming so it didn’t bother me much.

Lenox’s story will be the fifth and final story (I think) and I am beyond excited for it. I have wanted his story since beginning this series.

You know, every time I get my hands on J. Saman's book I get more and more excited. In those series, every single book is different from itself, but they have all been so beautiful.

I waited for so long for Asher and Wynter and I am so happy that I had the chance to read it. In the previous books, Asher always seemed to be a happy and easygoing guy. But we never knew his worries about his job and if he will still be part of his football team in the future. Like we've seen in "Irresistibly Wild" ending, he met the most beautiful woman in a club's bathroom, but his performance on the love field was quite embarrassing. Well, that woman was Wynter and she had a 6-month-old son, a result of her and Asher's hot night. He never knew, but he didn't stop searching for her. Luck was on his side and they met again 1 and a half later, with Wynter being his team doctor.

I loved both of them together. He was so obsessed with her and when he saw her again he decided that she would be his forever. What I loved about him was that he never gave up on her. He chased her all the way and earned her trust and love. She definitely had some commitment issues, because of her biological father, but let's be honest...No one is able to refuse Asher, especially after the beautiful way he treats her. The other thing I loved was that both of them told each other the secrets they were keeping at an early stage of the book. There wasn't any drama about it and they both accepted it freely. She never refuses him the right to see his son and he never gave up (I know, I am repeating myself with it 😁). I know that Wynter was afraid, but she was falling in love with him really fast. He worked damn hard to win her trust and love. At this moment she knew he was the one for her and gave him her heart. To be honest, from the beginning their relationship was quite easy, there wasn't any drama and it was like they knew each other for forever.

Let me get to the spicy part 😈. Their sex life was explosive...I mean really explosive. There was so much smut, kink and spice, that my heart was literally singing. Because I am all in when it comes to brilliant written scenes with lots of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.

I also loved that we still got to see the characters from the previous books. I really missed them 😍.

P. S. The excerpt at the end about Lennox's book was just 😱😱😱. I knew since the beginning of the series, that his book would be the best. And it definitely will. I can't wait for his story...and his girl...she will be the best heroine. I am 100 % sure.

Overall, I loved this book, the story and I am fully in love with Asher and Wynter.

Irresistibly Risky is the fourth book in the Irresistibly Yours series, but can be read as a standalone.

This is the only book I’ve read in the series, as I previously noted, these are standalone novels but you don’t have to read them all however, I do wish that I would have so that I would have had more back story on the cast of support characters. So, keep that in mind. If you’re able to, I would recommend reading them in order.

Wynter is a former Olympic athlete, turned orthopedic surgeon after a knee injury ended her figure skating career. Asher is an NFL quarterback currently benched with a shoulder injury. Wynter’s biological father is the coach of The Rebels, Asher’s team and pulls some strings to get Wynter assigned to the Rebels as the team surgeon. Wynter is called into the office to meet with Asher, her new patient and Asher’s world is rocked! Turns out they’ve met before only Wynter doesn’t remember. At first. Once she does remember, the ride gets wild!

I don’t want to give any spoilers, there are a lot of moving parts to this novel but the author writes them well so they all flow cohesively. The pace was fast (I read this in one day.) The plot was somewhat predictable at times but there were still a few twists that managed to surprise me. This was a well rounded story and I enjoyed the read.

I received an advance reader copy and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Yet again this author proves to me why I love her and her incredible stories. No other author gets me hooked from just the very first sentence of a story, like she does. A definite 10 plus, plus stars from me! I met Asher in the very first book in this series, this is number 4, and became a bit obsessed with him. I mean, how can you not? He’s a handsome, all alpha, football player with a heart of gold. He loves and protects his friends and family so fiercely that my heart swoons. When he first meets Wynter, he is instantly enamored with her, but things don’t exactly go to plan. So when he unexpectedly meets up with her again, he is bound and determined to make things right. Wynter is such a likeable and truly loveable character. Beautiful, smart, talented, sexy and the perfect challenge for Asher. But there is something about her that Asher doesn’t know about and could change things for both of them. Can these two make a go of a relationship? I thoroughly enjoyed their witty banter and I can’t even describe how smoking hot their chemistry is! I had to look for a fire extinguisher to put the flames out on my kindle! One of my favorite types of stories to read is second chance, and I hoped and prayed these two would take a second chance with each other. This story tells of their ups and downs, their tears and their laughs, their lust and even possibly their love. If ever there was a story to read that will make you fall in love with the characters, this is most definitely it. Bravo to this author for writing and sharing such a brilliant story.

“It’s complicated. It’s downright messy. It’s irresistibly risky. But isn’t life always?”
After finishing Irresistibly Wild, I was so excited for Asher’s book and he did not disappoint. “He’s a postcard of a man. A total dream.”

Asher has been pining over a woman he let down in a club bathroom almost two years ago. He thinks and talks about her constantly and the very last thing he expected was to run into her in another bathroom at the football stadium he plays at.

Wynter is an ex Olympian and now top notch surgeon. Her specialty is in shoulders, so when Boston’s star quarterback is hurt she is called in to fix him, she just never expected him to be her less than stellar one night stand that left her with more than memories.

Asher fell so hard so fast when he finally reconnected with Wynter, there was no chance in his mind they wouldn’t end up together and he did everything to prove to her that he was worth the risk. They were a great couple and I loved every second of this book!

Now it’s time for the final Central Square guy Lennox to get his story! Cannot wait for Irresistibly Dangerous in March.

Irresistibly Risky is the 4th book in the series and I been so excited for Asher’s story and J. Saman didn’t disappoint with this one.

Asher is a NFL Quarterback for his team and they win the super bowl. He is out celebrating with his teammates and ends up in the women’s bathroom where he first meets Wynter and they end up having a one night stand. 2 years later, turns out Wynter is the new teams surgeon and she doesn’t remember Asher. Wynter hates football and football players so she is forced to work with this team and work directly with Asher. Once Wynter remembers who Asher is their story gets wild.

The chemistry and connection with the two was so good. I love the relationship they have with all the other couples in the prior books. J. Saman does write this very well so it makes this book so enjoyable. I can’t wait for Lennox’s book!!!

Thank you J. Saman & Valentine PR for this ARC.

5* Surprise Stars

Irresistibly Risky is the fourth book in the Irresistibly Yours series and is Asher’s Story.

From the first chapter I was hooked and struggled to put the book down. Asher and Wynter’s chemistry was off the charts sexy. From the disastrous one-night stand, which was quite hilarious, and to meeting again by chance two years later, the attractions and chemistry between them was palpable.

I enjoyed the few twists and turns that presented themselves in the lives of Asher and Wynter, they were real and true to life.

I loved catching up with the rest of the Central Square characters and how they are still so tight knit.

The bonus epilogue was amazing and made me so happy!

I am beyond excited to read Lennox’s story next and cannot wait to find out more about this mysterious man!

Ok, I might just have a new favourite J Saman book!

I’ve been waiting for Asher since book 1 in this series and not only did he not disappoint, he totally exceeded all expectations! He’s a hot, cocky pro football player who meets Wynter after he’s just won the Super Bowl and knows immediately she’s special. But he has some…issues…let’s say during their first encounter and has never gotten over it.
Since we first heard a little of their story I’ve been hoping she would be the one to come and give him his HEA after he’s been pining for her!

Whilst this is book 4 in the series, it could absolutely be read as a standalone- once you’ve read chapter 1 you’re fully caught up on their history.

Wynter is a great FMC. She’s a strong, feisty Doctor brought in by Asher’s coach to look at a problem he’s having with his shoulder. But there’s far more behind Coach’s reasons for bringing her in.

The banter, the nicknames and the spice were all top notch and the bonus epilogue was great too. Highly highly recommend!

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

I'm not a huge fan of the surprise pregnancy trope, but I adored Asher's Golden Retriever vibes and the way he would do anything for his family, friends, and teammates.

My only quibble is I want to know why Wynter chose to continue with her pregnancy as I felt this wasn't really addressed. She's a high flying doctor who did it without family support at a time in her career when her career prospects really mattered to her.

Irresistibly Risky is the fourth book in the Irresistibly Yours series by J. Saman, featuring an angsty and steamy surprise baby/sports romance tale for Asher and Wynter. We finally get the details about Asher’s less than stellar hook-up that we’ve been hearing about throughout the series! Oh, Asher! What a first impression!😳😂 Of course they didn’t exchange names, which is a little predictable, but lead to a bigger shock during their second meeting, when Wynter was hired as Asher’s team surgeon! Asher’s interested in a do-over, but Wynter has an even bigger surprise to drop on him that will change his life forever. Her past has left her with major trust issues. Can Asher convince her that he can be trusted, and to take the risk of building something with him?

I couldn’t put this book down! Asher and Wynter were an awesome couple that generated tons of angst, tension, and sparks as she tried to deny the chemistry between them. But, when she finally gave him the green light, they were HOT!! My heart melted over the way they were with Mason!🥰 One of my favorite things about them was their witty and feisty banter. It’s always fun to giggle or laugh when reading. Several of the supporting characters would bring that levity as well when needed, or a shoulder to lean on or a brother in arms should trouble arise. The former bandmates definitely give off a found family vibe, which I always love. I liked the fact that there was no 3rd act break-up. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of drama, secrets, and plot twists to keep things exciting!! I only kind of predicted one of them. And can I just say, that Lenox gets more and more intriguing all the time? His story should be epic!! Don’t miss this must-read story, and definitely download the bonus epilogue!!😍

It's a know fact that I am addicted to this series and the author is one of my favourites. I had over the top expectations for this book and I got all that and more. After getting a glimpse of how Asher meets his dream woman I was excited to start the read.

Asher has been my favourite from the start of the series and getting to know him better made me fall even more in love with him. Wynter and Mason had my heart from the start and I loved learning more about them. There second meet cracked me up. They definitely have a thing about there meeting place.

Wynter has been through a lot and getting over it and trusting isn't easy no matter how charming Asher is. I loved how Asher was patient and understanding with Wynter. He understood her fear, issues and supported her. He is perfect for her and Wynter is everything Asher didn't know he wanted.

Asher had me swooning throughout the read with the way he was with Mason and Wynter. He knew from the start that she is his end game. There chemistry is sizzling hot enough to burn pages and the spice is over the top. Asher sure knows how to talk. I loved how they fell in love and got the best out of each other.

At some instances, I was frustrated with both Asher and Wynter. He made stupid mistakes even after knowing about her trust issues and I wanted Wynter to join therapy. Having all the guys from Central Square and there partners was a cherry on top. I always love all of there banter and the way they are there for each other.

The read is a complete package filled with emotions. I was completely engrossed in the read and before I realised it came to an end. It's a flawless read. The bonus epilogue left a huge smile on my face giving a glimpse into Wynter and Asher's future.

Now I am counting days for Lenox's book. He has intruiged me from the start of the series and has been the most mysterious. After reading the first chapter that left my jaw hanging I am sure I am in for a treat.

Thanks to the author and Valentine's Promotion for the advanced copy of this enchanting read.

Asher and Wynter… I absolutely loved them both. This book was such a fun and easy read, and I am a sucker for surprise baby/pregnancy trope so this was perfect for me.

Wynter is a retired (due to injury) figure skater that becomes a sports medicine surgeon. She hasn’t talked to her dad in years, and it just so happens when she moves to start a new job she ends up having to work for her dad’s football team at his unfortunate request. Asher is a professional football player that is on Wynter’s dad’s team that has a shoulder injury that needs to be surgically repaired. Can you take a wild guess who ends up being his surgeon… Wynter. It also just so happens Asher and Wynter had a very underwhelming one night stand a year and half beforehand after Asher had won the Super Bowl and they haven’t seen each other until now.

I loved Asher from the very beginning he was so sweet and likeable with the best intention’s. Wynter has major trust issues due to her biological father and she is all about protecting her heart. I loved her healing journey and seeing her learn to not let her father hold her back from living anymore. Asher and Wynter balance each other perfectly. I got so attached to the characters and I enjoyed their story so much. There is a particular subject addressed in the book that is close to my heart and I’m so glad it was included about Mason, my son went through a similar issue and it was relatable and it just made me love this even more. I also loved that we get to see glimpses of the other couples from the previous books. This was another wonderful book by @jsamanbooks I am becoming such a big fan. If you are looking for a cute feel good read, this is the book for you. I highly recommend this entire series.

Thank you to Valentine PR for the Arc, I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The first time Asher met Wynter he was experiencing some surprise ‘performance issues’. Cut to two years later she’s his teams new doctor, and he’s determined for a second chance, except this time Wynter has the surprise and it’s a big one, so her rival determination to keep things professional starts a new play, but Asher is no stranger to the game.

“𝘼 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮. 𝙄 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚.”

So I was promised a cocky quarterback with a heart of gold, and that is exactly what I got AND THEN SOME! (his performance issues that had me torn on how to react 😅😂🫢) The cocky trope never fails to have me weak at the knees, but this time it hit harder then I ever thought it could, I wasn’t just weak I was full on face planting for Asher Reyes 😍

“𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙣𝙤 𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚.”

From the get go in the loo’s (always the loo’s 😉) these two had all the chemistry; it was only chapter one and I was already end gaming them, then the twist hits… 🧐💭🤨

“𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙞𝙙 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧.”

On top of all the feels this story brings out of me 🎢 their banter was made for each other, and the DT is even better, Asher is ready to plead for her and if that’s not irresistible then I don’t know what is 🥵

“𝙄’𝙢 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙮 𝙜𝙤𝙙𝙛•𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙧𝙚.”

This is 2nd one I’ve read from this series, Irresistibly wild had me craving more, but this one had me pleading for it.

Sometimes, even books from your favourite authors don't work out and that's okay!

I sadly could just not warm up to Asher. He keeps talking about wanting to earn Wynter's trust, wanting to show her that he can be a good dad and a good boyfriend but he doesn't deliver *at all*. Wynter is rightfully pissed at the end and I'm glad she didn't just forgive him instantly. I really liked her!

This whole mess started because Asher didn't put on a condom during their ONS (combo of them both being drunk and sex in a bathroom being messy in general) but then during a later sex scene, he just pulls his condom off while they're doing it – with no previous discussion or consent, even though he got her pregnant the first time. I struggled with the rest of the book and their relationship so much after that.

There's also just my general own medical trauma that made this hard to read – no fault of the author but I was way more stable when I read book 2 and 3 (which also include doctors). Hope I can do the last book but after that I think it's time for a break from hospitals for me for some time 🫶🏻

What I absolutely loved though and what makes this a 3.5 or even a 4 (still haven't decided) is the plot itself and just how much dramaaa there was at the end. Proper Grey's Anatomy stuff, that really took me back to the Edge series (if anyone else has been here since then haha). Soo good.

I knew I would love Asher and he did not disappoint.
Asher is the QB for the Super Bowl winning Rebels. He has an unimpressive drunk encounter with a women in the club bathroom. A year and a half later, Wynter is hired to be the Rebel’s team surgeon and Asher needs surgery. He’s surprised to see the woman he hasn’t stopped obsessing about and see’s this as a 2nd chance to make up for his lackluster performance but she wants nothing to do with him. He doesn’t mind chasing her because she’s worth the risk. He has his work cut out for him because she has abandonment issues but he’s ready to go full speed ahead and chase away all her doubts. Can she chance the risk and fall in love? Can she let her guard down enough to find love? Asher may not be the fairytale prince but she’s definitely the ice queen.

5 stars plus

Irresistibly Risky is a book I read in one sitting. I ignored my every day life and just sat and read. It was everything I could want and so much more.
Im honestly floored. This was an absolute highlight of my week to read.
Asher Reyes, professional football player and a charmer! Goodness me, his flirting game is strong. When he has an injury, he is not expecting the new orthopedic Dr Wynter! These two, talk about snark and sass. I just loved Wynters energy. She is straight to the point tho. Asher is determined if nothing, to make her see, she can trust him.
I loved, loved this book so much. It had me hooked from start to finish and I just love the authors writing style. Her books enthral you, are entertaining and also have drama you don’t expect. All in all so worth more than 5 stars!
