I thought I was in love with my best friend. Turned out, I was in love with someone else instead.
My best friend broke my heart. I try convincing myself that he’s who I’m meant to be with when secretly, I’m thankful he broke things off between us. There’s someone else but he never notices me staring, hoping, longing for him. When he finally comes around, after I make the first move, sparks explode but I have to tell myself that it’s just a one-time thing. Especially when he’s my best friend’s father.
J.M. Walker, a Canadian author, is an Amazon bestseller who also hit USA Today with Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology. She loves all things books, pigs and lip gloss. She is happily married to the man who inspires all of her Heroes and continues to make her weak in the knees every single day.
"Above all, be the HEROINE of your own life..." ~ Nora Ephron
Both men are attracted to each other but there are a couple of huge hurdles they need to jump before they could ever think about more. One being the 16 year age gap. And the other one being that Rhett is the father of Shane's best friend and that makes things even more complicated. I love the dual POV. Its always nice to know what is going through the minds of all parties. I'm enjoying these MM novellas from JM. My only complaint is that they could be longer. But then they wouldn't be novellas. Lol I'm just a greedy reader and now I wanna know everything about all 4 of the men we've met so far in this series.
This is the second book in this series and it’s an awesome story, This is a MM, age gap, best friends, lovers, and business partner’s story line.
Shane’s best friend and his boyfriend ask him to help a business partner by doing collaboration. Rhett is the business partner who needs some help, but is also the man Shane has been in love with for a long time. Rhett is also in love with Shane, and just happens to be his best friend’s dad.
It doesn’t take long for sparks to fly with their chemistry. I love these all the characters, and reading each persons pov makes this an amazing story.
This series is fan-yourself-tastic! I can’t wait for the next book!!
I received an advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Iced Coffee is the sevond novella in the Coffee Beans & Love. This is Shane and Rhett's story. The story reads quickly. This age gap romance follows their romance through multiple problems. These characters are great and the world they live in is very clear to the reader and I love it. It is a MM romance if you are curious give this series a try. It doesn't disappoint.
This book had a mixture of reasons why the relationship between Shane and Rhett was not going to work but Shane and Rhett worked through the issues and built a solid foundation. Brady, Shane’s best friend happens to be Rhett’s son and while Shane thought that Brady would not be happy about their union he was more than willing to accept them together. There was sparks and some very steamy moments but it was a good story and the characters are very likeable. Enjoyed this book and this series is proving to be a wonderful little gem.
Well what can I say? I love this author, I love a novella and I love for coffee! So this book was a wonderful treat. Shane and Rhett have complications aplenty. Including the text that Rhett's son is Shane's best friend and one time FWB. Come along on a funny, spicy ride to see how they navigate this conundrum.
With a great cast of side characters this was ax fun quick read.
I have to say a novella is perfect when you don’t have a lot of time. I really enjoyed this book. I felt very sorry for Shane to care about someone and you can’t let your feelings out. I want to go to their coffee shop and sit down and watch the people and enjoy my coffee knowing they all care and love each other. But there’s a couple of different kinds of love, but when you find the one you’ve hit the jackpot. Send me the address to Coffee Beans, and Love.
Iced Coffee the second edition in the Coffee Beans & Love Series. Taboo, age gap deliciousness featuring Shane and Rhett. Who are absolute fire. That office scene, HELLO! I loved the insecurities with this one, "should I?" Or "shouldn't I?" "Will he?" Or "won't he?" Honestly its cute, and also felt so real, who doesn't have insecurities when exploring something new?
Sexy, and quick and an amazing edition to the series.
The pages of my kindle were on fire! This is the second book in the series. I would highly recommend reading book one first. It’s Shane’s turn to find his HEA. And I couldn’t believe with who. And that who made the story that much more exciting and taboo. Ms. Walker not only delivers a spicy steamy novella. But she gives us age gap plus another brow raising taboo issue. Not gonna tell. You have to read Iced Coffee to find out who.
taboo? yes age gap? yes instant attraction? oh yes
I could keep going but how Shane and Rhett come together it's nothing short of explosive. this is the second one in the coffee beans and love series and it has yet to disappoint me. it is a quick read but it covers alot through out. dont wait grab your copy today! ( or when released ;) )
Do you like your coffee hot or iced? The title might say iced coffee but this book will set your kindle on fire. This shot of espresso is just what the doctor ordered. Be ready to goble up this novella because you can not put it down. Happy Reading friends. JM walker does not disappoint.
4* Shane is still coming to terms with Brady & Cody getting together. They had fun with each other but Shane has always had his eye on his dad Rhett. When Rhett is advised to accept help from Shane he's aware of the chemistry. I loved the characters and enjoyed reading this book.
Holy hotness!!!! Fans self whilst sanding in front of the freezer with the door open!! Lol!! What a hot, quick read that packs a punch like the strongest coffee ever!! And the feels?!! Full to the brim!!
This is the second book in the coffee beans series. Oh my my my. 👀. I was so sad for Shane. I’m glad he gets his Hea. I really enjoyed Shane and Rhett’s story. This one is a bit Taboo. Age gap. Spicy quick read. Duel POV. Hea.
These books just keep getting better and better. Iced Coffee is about Shane and Rhett and omg, I couldn't get enough of these two. They were totally right for each other! I can't wait for the next book.
Oh my! This had all the feels. Best friend’s dad. Age gap. Childhood crush. I was so here for everything! I loved the characters and was happy that they finally found each other.
