Tension hovers between two siblings as they drive their Toyota Tundra toward Atlanta, to Calvary Chapel. Cassie feels great in her new lavender dress and Faith Hill Mist perfume, but her only passenger, Cody, makes the trip miserable. After speaking rudely earlier that morning to his sister, he can now no longer keep everything inside and breaks down. He explains his rudeness to her is due to loss of sleep because of his lack of assurance of being born again and that he was only playing the part of a hypocrite. Beautiful Cassie loves her brother and assures him to pray and everything will be fine. As they top a hill, helicopters circle the area below as smoke starts to fill the cab of the truck from a horrible multi-vehicle auto crash. As they drew near, help is only beginning to arrive and the two with other passersby go into action to help the victims. Working as a team, the siblings start to pull bodies out of a twenty-car pileup on the highway. The two fight soot tags from burning cars as they slide through puddles of blood, checking on men, women and children. Later that week the awful crash and bloodshed would have a lasting effect on the two children—what would it be?

Most people understand hope as wishful thinking. However, the biblical definition of hope is "confident expectation". But you can sleep like a baby knowing: Where the wind blows, there's hope for all. Hope is a feeling of expectation and a desire for certain things to happen. The important thing to remember: Always put God and his only begotten son, first and not matter what befalls us good will always prevail. Trustworthy promises from God give us hope. By contrast, those who do not place their trust in God are said to be without hope. Without hope, life loses its meaning. I can smell the aroma of a good life that is filled with hope just as the aroma of hazelnut fills the kitchen. It is never too late, you know. If you still have breath then there's hope. When the doorbell rings, it could be God knocking on your door. Get in while the Lord's knocking- for He is knocking on the door to your heart. I believe this well-written inspirational book by Joyce Mitchell can lead you in the right direction and will help you see the rainbow after the rain and dark clouds give way to sunshine and clear skies. Revelations 3:20 - out of God's words says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me." PS: I won an award for A SONG I wrote, sung and recorded: "I CAN HEAR YOU KNOCKING!" For my friends - the Lord will come like a thief in the night. Keep your faith strong with hope and sing out loud and clear, "I CAN HEAR YOU KNOCKING!" When you get a chance, pick up "HOPE" by a wonderful writer - Joyce Mitchell.
I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. This book is geared more toward a teen audience but as an adult I found it to be very good. It is the story of 2 teenage siblings a boy and girl and their salvation, Cody was questioning his salvation when on the way to church the kids see a massive auto accident and jump in to help. They learn more from the wreckage than they would have learned in church that day. From this book you will learn the difference between being religious an feeling the spirit. I would recommend this to all teens and preteens,
