Planning a winter dance at the Beast's castle, Belle becomes homesick and wishes she had the charm bracelet her father made for her, inspiring the Beast, Mrs. Potts and the rest of the Enchanted Objects to make a new bracelet to cheer her up
Ellie O’Ryan loves chocolate almost as much as she loves writing books for kids. She is the author of more than 300 books for children and has a secret chocolate stash hidden in her office for late-night writing sessions. Ellie lives in North Carolina with her husband, two kids, three cats, and one dog.
Its kind of like the Belle xmas movie I have. Maybe its in a different year of xmas.
Overall the book had good pictures and my mom had great accents and I really, really liked the charms they made and the book was about them trying to make Belle happy.
This book was fine. It isn't the best of Disney Princess early chapter books, but it does have a nice lesson about helping others feel more at home--even when they're being imprisoned against their will and kept from seeing their loved ones.
its about Belle is planning a ball on december 25 and Mrs.potts and her friends want to give her something so they each make a charm for her and when there done they give to Belle.
It's winter in the castle and a tree branch breaks a window in the library! As they're cleaning up scattered papers, Belle finds an old invitation to the Winter Solstice Ball. Years ago, each winter solstice the whole village came to the castle for a ball. They can't invite anyone else now, but Belle decides it would be fun to have a ball for everyone that lives in the castle. As she's deciding what to wear, she sadly remembers her dad and the charm bracelet he made her one Christmas. Amid the other preparations for the ball, Belle's new friends decide to make her a new charm bracelet much like her old one. Chip is especially excited and goes around helping everyone finish their charms when they run into a snag--a teacup, a golden star, a sprig of holly, a winter rose--but almost forgets to make the silver snowflake! Everyone helps him and the charms are complete! They present them to Belle before she gets dressed for the ball. Everyone has a fun night of dancing and sweets, and friendship.
Set during the movie before Belle breaks the curse. When Belle finds herself homesick and missing her father, the gang decide to cheer her up by recreating her cherished charm bracelet.
Like most Disney books this is a charming little book. I adore charm bracelets so I loved that Belle owns one and that the gang set out to make it for her. Complimented by the gorgeous illustrations, the bracelet takes shape and Belle is presented with a thoughtful and sentimental gift. Promoting friendship, family and the benefits of working together, the book crafts a positive and wholesome narrative that readers will love.
My favourite part was the convenience of the Royal Jewelry Chamber.
“What are we waiting for?” asked the Beast. “We’ll find everything we need in the Royal Jewelry Chamber. Follow me!”
Books, Disney. Disney Princess: Belle: The Charming Gift (Disney Chapter Book (ebook)) (pp. 33-35). Disney Press. Kindle Edition.
The Charming Gift tells the story of Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) and her castle roommates planning a winter solstice ball. When she mentions a bracelet her father made her and becomes sad because she misses him, her castle friends decide to make her a bracelet, and add their own unique charm, to make Belle feel more at home in the castle. The illustrations, of course, are wonderfully Disney, and help move the story along. Overall, a sweet story for princess fans who are moving into chapter books.
It was a great book, I wonder why they don’t make these books anymore 😭. Belle is my favorite princess :3. I wish they do another movie for her 📚😍🌸🌺🍀💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🥀🥀🥀🌹🌹🥀🌹🥀🌹
It was okay. I don't know how Chip is eating chocolate, or how it is possible to glue rubies and opals together. There was too much that didn't really make sense. The charm bracelet was lovely, but it seemed like everyone was bending over backwards to make Belle happy with a material possession, when what she really missed was the emotional connection to her father. Yes, the other books revolve around some jewels, but in the Jasmine story, there was more to it than that.
"The Charming Gift" is a sweet holiday story. Belle is homesick around the Winter Solstice when she discovers an old invitation from when there were grand balls and convinced Beast to have one for them and the servants.
Beast and the others each make a charm for a new bracelet for Belle (secretly of course).
This book is one of my favorite because of the sort of indulgent sibling relationship that Beast has with Chip (giving him chocolate when Mrs. Potts chases them out of the kitchens XD)
