Being a superhero is pretty awesome. Abigail Turner finally has everything she’s worked A successful career at The Hero Relief Center, San Arbor’s number one superhero company, equipped with a sidekick and corner office, and a movie-like fantasy home life with firefighter Thomas Sanders that she never thought possible when he was the villain, Cinder. When an arsonist targets San Arbor, Abigail’s perfect life is in the cross hairs. On top of stopping this new threat, she must navigate a minefield of blackmail, unwanted advances, and an oppressive mayor who wants any excuse to undermine the superhero’s authority in the city. For Abigail, catching the arsonist isn't just a job—it's personal. After fighting to distance herself from being a reckless hero, will she resort to her old ways to keep what she loves most safe? Her city, her career, her friendships could all go up in smoke if she fails. Unmasking the arsonist wouldn’t be difficult if all the signs didn’t point toward Thomas.
Jordan S. Keller is a Cincinnati-based writer whose love for stories started at a young age when she preferred to write in a spiral-bound notebook than play outside at recess.
Her thirst for stories grew in college where she majored in print and radio journalism sharing the lives of the incredible people who lived in Eastern Kentucky.
She sharpens her writing skills while recounting the heroics of her Dungeons and Dragons characters over dinner, and co-running The Central Cincinnati Fiction Writers Group.
Jordan S. Keller lives in Cincinnati with her husband, their bearded dragon, a goblin disguised as a cat, a puppy with airplane ears, and fourteen koi fish inherited when they bought the house.
From the action-packed opening, to the well-written characters that make you care, to the suspense and turmoil, you won't be bored with this well-crafted superhero novel. I highly recommend.
Great New Series! Loved Wildfire (book one) and was tickled when Burnout (book two) was recently announced. I devoured it immediately, and now I can’t wait for the next installment. Burnout is a continuation of Abigail’s story. Like the first book, there’s tons of action, conflict, and chemistry between our young, spunky female superhero and her secret love interest. Suspenseful with well-developed plot and characters. Highly recommend!
