Emily Bone grew up among the rolling hills of Hampshire, writing stories about the ants and birds in her garden. After studying English at Cambridge, she found her dream job at Usborne in 2007. Since then, she's written about many weird and wonderful creatures, along with books on space, fashion and food.
I love owls, so my sweet eleven year old got this book for me at his school carnival instead of picking a book for himself. The book is geared towards small children, but I loved the pictures and the information was interesting as well. I will treasure this little book for years to come.
This cute little book is full of information about Owls. I liked how there was both photographs of owls, and drawings of owls to help deepen the understanding of the information given in this book. My eight-year-old loves this book and he likes to use the contents page to find a section that he wants to read about.
A beautifully presented book, in the Usborne tradition, which means that it is filled with wonderful color photographs and detailed illustrations. Young bird watchers or Harry Potter fans will enjoy learning more about owls, and the book is more widely enjoyable simply because of its crisp, clear photos, and text appropriate for younger readers.
A great classroom or home resource for kids aged 6-9.
