When I wished to leave, I didn’t expect for my wish to be granted.
I wished on a shooting star. Little did I know, that shooting star was an alien ship and they stole me away.
Once I was aboard the ship, I was told that I had to work off my debt. The debt that I accrued for them granting my wish. No matter how much I panicked or argued, they would not back down and paired me with… him .
Zetaka, head of security on the ship. He was huge with sharp claws and teeth, and a nasty attitude to match. I couldn’t stand being around him, his rippling muscles, his delicious scent, or his cowboy getup, but I was forced to work with him.
I had to admit that he was one of the most attractive beings I had ever seen, and the longer I was with him the more his rough exterior cracked to reveal that he wasn’t as bad as I thought. Sometimes he was even thoughtful, but that didn’t change the fact that he was rude and abrasive the rest of the time.
Finding out he could use other species’ DNA to evolve and adapt was a shock, and I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if ours mixed. Nothing could ever happen between us, though. Not only was he now my boss, he was also an alien and I kind of hated him.
I just had to do my time and get out of there. If only they’d quit sending us on missions alone together.
Was I really going to give in to my strange desire for the alien lizard cowboy, or could I keep my hands to myself and finish my assignment?
Evolving Love is a full-length sci-fi romance that features action, adventure, humor, and steamy intimate moments. No cliffhangers or cheating. Happily ever after guaranteed!
Sarah (h) gets into a heated argument with her cheating boyfriend and wishes on what seems like a shooting star to be taken away. She finds herself on the spaceship with aliens who heard and fulfilled her wish, the only problem is that now she must pay off the debt her wish accrued. She finds herself apprenticed to Zetaka (H), the head chariff on the spaceship, a large alien with a lizard-like appearance who dresses and talks much like an old west cowboy. They don’t get along too well and seem to bring out the worst in one another, but as Sarah works alongside Zetaka they begin to develop an appreciation for one another. Lots of action and adventure as Sarah and Zetaka battle criminals and must work together to survive dangerous situations. Things heat up between the two and they begin to change one another in ways neither expected. Hot and steamy alien-human action romance with a lot of action and plenty of humor. Loved the hunt choice.
Sarah and her boyfriend John, who has been cheating with their new neighbor, get into an argument. When his fake apologies don’t work and she asks him to leave, he reminds her that although she made the down-payment on the house, he was the one who applied for the mortgage with his credit – oh, and had only his own name put on the mortgage. So he told her that her only options were to sleep in the guest bedroom, leave, or just get over it. In a rage, she went out on the deck to calm down. The clear, beautiful night made her even angrier and she wished on a bright shooting star that she could just leave this all behind. Apparently that star was a spaceship that granted her wish, but there is now a cost to be paid for the service.
A still-angry Sarah is selected by an alien, Zetaka, who is in charge of ship security and relishes the challenge that this woman promises. She admits that he may be attractive to her, but they don’t get along well together in the beginning. She shows just a tiny bit of fear of him, yet stands up bravely to him with her insults and anger. She would have hit him with a lamp if it hadn’t been bolted to the table. He tried to put a translation implant into her, but beckoning with his middle finger put her into a frenzy of anger. So he shot her with a tranquilizer gun, which did not help their new relationship. Eventually by working together, they developed a respect for each other and maybe something else. The dangerous missions they are sent on give them even more time together and a better working environment. And eventually, their desire to be together made it happen. His body seemed to change to accommodate her, such as now being able to retract his claws (which is a very necessary improvement!). He didn’t say “love” exactly, but all the other words of affection let her know how he felt about her, and she felt the same about him. Will they find a HEA together? Or will she pay off her debt and want to leave?
This book had me turning the pages and staying up late just to find out how is all works out. Sarahis a human that has just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her and she has had enough and when she wishes upon a star for a better life her wish is granted and now she is on a spaceship that she thought was a shooting star and the Aliens tell her that she must work off her debt because they granted her wish and she is paired with and has to work with a huge lizard looking man in a cowboy outfit who has a bad attitude and is grumpy but she is drawn to him. Zetaka is the head of security/ chariff male who just been told that he has to work with his new apprentice the human female Sarah she is cute and sexy and he feels drawn to her and while on missions together they get closer to each other and soon the lines get blurred and they are steamy up the sheets all the while fighting off the bad guys. Sarah has been working with Zetaka and her feelings for him have changed and the more missions they go on the hotter the connection gets and crossing the line was bound to happen and they bring out the best and the worse in each other. Do they get there HEA and does Sarah pay off her debt and does she stay with Zetaka or not, to get the answers and so much more get this is a must read book.

Sarah chose to make a wish on a shooting star which is why she has the chance of an adventure because frankly the other option was eating dirt. To say that she is less than impressed with her new situation is, I think, being relatively fair. The possiblities however she needs a bit of time to acclimatise before she sees them. Most of her ire is directed towards one particular being, Zetaka. Not that he doesn't deserve some of it but he is a handy scapegoat, well that is until their circumstances change and she gets a chance to get to know him properly and vice versa. Loved how completely clueless Zetaka was over certain things. The humour and the banter running through is lighthearted and the characters are truly personable. A really good and fun book to read.
I enjoyed this book. I found it to funny and fun as I read it. There's also plenty of steam and drama with adventure and danger. Sarah is a sassy snarky ake human woman t g at will stand toe to toe with anyone she met including aliens. Her ex cheated on her and shot her, but she was saved and now is a chariffs with her alien lizard partner Zetaka. Zetaka is tasked with training Sarah a weak human woman, but as he works with her, he sees she stronger and smart than he thought. They both develop feelings for one another and follow their hearts as they face one dangerous situation after another.

This novel was just plain fun to read. I think it was the sarcastic and playful banter between Sara and Zetaka that kept me smiling no matter what. Alien versions of Western-isms melding with policing Alien worlds and problems made for a really interesting plot. I just couldn’t get over the creativity and descriptions of the aliens and even the whole evolution process. So amazing! For standalone novel, I found it was a complete pleasure to read.

I really enjoyed this story. The story was cute and funny and I couldn't put it down. After Sarah fights with her cheating boyfriend she made a wish on a shooting star. She finds herself on a spaceship with aliens that heard her wish. She is pared to Zetaka who talks like a wild west cowboy. The more time they spend together they learn to appreciate each other. There is action, adventure, danger, humor, and steam. Love this story.

This was a fun stand-alone romance that's full of action, adventure, danger, and sarcastic banter. Sarah and Zetaka get matched up in a mentor-type relationship to battle criminals, learn to work together to survive and end up with a hot romance ;D I enjoyed the world building and all the humour that kept me madly turning pages, no matter what was going on. Highly enjoyable, I recommend checking this one out :D
Well that was interesting. It was really exciting in the beginning. Lots of action and cultural misunderstanding between the two main characters. I enjoyed the fighting when the ship crashed because both characters grew stronger in supporting each other. The DNA exchange was especially interesting. I didn’t give it five stars because it sort of fell flat in my opinion after they admitted their feelings for each other and I wanted to see John suffer a bit.
I have already enjoyed a few of this authors sci fi books and given I was on a 'green' (Orc) read, I couldn't not add this to my collection. It was a fun adventure as the pair had to work together and their relationship eventually developed. I look forward to reading more by this author.

When the fact that you can't regrow limbs is a strike against you for your new job, you know things are going to be interesting. When your trainer is sexy, and kinda a jerk? Things are going to be agonizing. Why did it have to be this guy???
