3.5⭐ Genre ~ billionaire romance Series ~ Faux Love Billionaires Publication date ~ book ~ June 28, 2023, audio ~ March 5, 2024 Est Page Count ~ 330 Audio length ~ 6 hours 24 minutes Narrators ~ Tor Thom & Maeve York POV ~ dual 1st Featuring ~ struggling small business owner, billionaire, age gap, fake fiancé, single dad, accidental pregnancy, 3rd act crap, some steamage
Felicity (26) & Cooper (42) She has a struggling business that needs an investor. He's a billionaire that needs to stop his ex-wife from trying to take his daughters. He'll fund her business and she'll pretend to be his fake fiancé.
There will be no hanky panky, just cohabiting. Yeah okay, sure. That agreement lasts like 16 seconds. Their chemistry was pretty great I do have to say. There is a good amount of steamage.
I am not a big fan when kids are involved in a fake relationship plot because I don't want their little hearts to be broken, but the girls were adorable and handled it pretty well. Also, not a fan of accidental pregnancy, especially at these ages that should know better.
The side characters were fine, except the ones that aren't suppose to be, like Felicity's father, who is not supportive at all and also a close friend to Cooper, and the ex-wife.
Overall, I enjoyed it well enough that I'd give this author a go again.
3.5 ⭐️ this man lacked so much self control ESPECIALLY for a man of his advanced age but I loved Felicity. She really needs to grow a backbone though like let’s not let men have that much control over us okay??? Could’ve done without pregnancy trope but sure I get it.
I don’t love the accidental pregnancy thing. I almost DNFed this book but felt bad not finishing it. I also thought they hooked up so quickly… it felt rushed
When Love Unexpectedly Takes Over - Felicity was only looking to sneak into her father’s party, so she she could find an investor to help with her business, but her ruse was discovered before she could even enter the party. When Cooper caught Felicity and her friend trying to sneak into his lawyer’s party, the last thing he expected was to not only find the solution to his predicament, but also gain a great investment opportunity.
Their quid pro quo agreement for Felicity and Cooper to enter into a fake engagement, was meant to be based on a hands off platonic basis, but spending time together heightened their attraction for each other and led to them embarking on a sexual relationship. It also brought happiness to the lives of Cooper’s children, but Cooper’s ex-wife wasn’t thrilled about their relationship and decided to reek havoc on their lives.
Unfortunately, the stress of Cooper’s impending court case, Felicity’s rapidly growing business, the disapproval of her father and her life changing news, caused friction in their relationship and nearly cost them the opportunity to get a happy family life. However, it took Copper’s precocious daughter pointing out a few truths to her father, for him to realise he needed to fight for what he wanted and not be a coward.
Luckily, Felicity and Cooper were finally able to acknowledge their feelings for each other and Cooper’s ex-wife’s narcissism helped him win his court case. This was an emotionally challenging story, that drew me in from the beginning and kept me eagerly turning the pages, rooting for the main characters. You won’t be able to help but fall in love with the children, as you turn the pages and hope they get the happy and fulfilling life they deserve. Grab a copy of this awesome book and entertain yourself for a few hours.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It was a bit over the top with the premise. The whole thing about being photographed at work without her engagement ring on was ridiculous. Lots of people take their rings off for work. She had a valid reason and any judge would agree. The kids were cute and not annoying and I did like the couple.
Felicity needs investors for her boutique and crashes her dad's party where she lands at the feet of Cooper. Intrigued by Felicity, Cooper agrees to invest but needs a fake fiance to help keep custody of his two daughters. A beautiful and heartwarming story that will captivate and engage you as you watch Cooper and Felicity navigate their feelings for each other and Eva and Lily. Eva and Lily are adorable and will melt your hearts. You won't want to put this book down.

Hoopla Bonus Borrow - - this was a fun quick read with not too many X rated parts thrown in. I really loved the business aspect. Designing and sewing your own clothes AND running a retail location - WOW! The whole fake fiancé part was a bit predictable - but it was still cute.
Just not very good on any level. I'm pretty good at suspension of disbelief in books like this most of the time but so much of this book just made no sense.
How does this book have so many high star ratings. The FMC has a failing business for a reason. She’s dumb as rocks and closes the store for any old reason. The timing is awful, pacing is way off, the characters have no dimension. I rolled my eyes so many times. Ugh, I really tried with this one and somehow made it to the end but for real, so frustrating to read.
While I liked the book, the editor did an awful job not catching a lot of inconsistencies. They would say Monday was 1 day away, but it was supposed to be Friday because the kids were in school. This happened all throughout the book.
Felicity owns a boutique called Moonstone Boutique. The Moonstone Boutique is in dire need of an investment. Her father Marsh is a very successful lawyer worth a lot of money but he refuses to help Felicity out because she didn’t go in to the business he wanted her to. Felicity found out that Marsh is having a party for the investors he represents. Felicity and her best friend Lauren are going to sneak in to the party and find an investor for Felicity. Felicity has a disguise on with a blonde wig. Felicity designs and sews her own dresses that she sells in her boutique. She is wearing one of her designs when she climbs on the stone wall and she gets stuck on something and she falls off the wall. She looks up when a man asks her if she is okay and Felicity is struck by how gorgeous the man is. Cooper is an investor and Marsh is his lawyer. They are friends. He has seen pictures of Felicity when she was a teenager but wow she has grown into a beautiful woman. Felicity gives Cooper her spiel on how she makes the clothes and he asks her about the business side, she is running the business side on sheer guts. Cooper meets Felicity at a diner to talk about her business. Cooper can’t take his eyes off of Felicity. He makes a comment about them leaving when his phone rings. It’s his nanny Inga and his daughters Eva who is eight and Lily who is six. Cooper is divorced from their mother but he wants to get custody. Felicity is great with Eva and Lily. In fact Lily comes out of her shell around Felicity. Cooper comes up with an idea that he proposes to Felicity. He will invest in Moonstone and they will have a fake engagement. Felicity will move in with Cooper, Eva and Lily for three months while he gets custody. No getting involved, no sex, no feelings just cohabitating. The problem is that there is chemistry between Cooper and Felicity. Not to mention that Felicity is catching feelings for Eva and Lily. Felicity is seen without her engagement ring. She tells her dad that the engagement is fake. Then Felicity finds out that she is pregnant. Will Cooper win the custody case? Will Eva and Lily get a new mother figure? Will Moonstone make it with Cooper’s help? Will Cooper be excited about the pregnancy? Will Cooper and Felicity find love and happiness through a fake engagement turned real? Tropes: Single Dad, Dad's Best Friend, Age Gap, Fake Relationship, Fake Engagement, Surprise Pregnancy, Steamy Romance
TW: Age Gap, Toxic Relationship, Parental Abandonment
Main Characters: Felicity + Cooper with Eva & Lily
Felicity and Cooper made such an amazing couple, even more so if you include Eva and Lily. Fel and Cooper were made for each other, even if they didn't know it. From the first encounter it was love. I don't think I could have loved this book more than I do. It was such a great story, and characters that only made it so much better.
I loved how much Cooper loved and would do anything for Eva & Lily. He was what a parent should be, and aspire to be if they aren't. He was willing to do anything for the well being of his girls, even helping someone else who had nothing. Cooper has such a fierce love for Felicity and the girls, and it was refreshing to see how much he embraced having them all under one roof. Even if he didn't realized he was doing it.
Felicity was such an amazing woman to begin with, but only became an even better one after meeting and agreeing to Coopers deal. She grew so much more than she ever knew she could. And I love how much she embraced this new life with these sweet girls.
🌶️🌶️🌶️- was amazing. It was so intimate even when it wasn't meant to be. They had the chemistry that only some people dream of having. You could feel their love with every touch, and wish you were her instead.

Felicity’s lawyer father does not support her dream of opening a fashion boutique, so he is not willing to help her in any way. Not to be deterred, Felicity needs to find investors and climbs the wall around her father’s property to sneak into a party her dad is hosting for his investor clients. Catching her clothing on the wall, she loses her balance and drops onto the ground below. She caught the attention of Cooper Pierce, a wealthy investor, and the two of them feel an instant attraction. They talked together and Cooper offered a business deal to Felicity. Cooper is fighting to keep custody of his two young daughters, Eva and Lily. His ex-wife wants to get at his money through using the girls. He was advised that having a fiancée will make his case stronger in front of the judge. So he offers to invest in Moonstone in return for a fake engagement with Felicity. She will live with Cooper, Eva, and Lily for 3 months, following the rules they set up, as he attempts to win the custody case.
Felicity adores the children, and Lily even opens up to her. Felicity and Cooper start to fall in love and end up breaking their platonic “no relationship” rule, resulting in a pregnancy. Will his ex-wife break the two of them apart? Will Cooper win custody of his daughters? And will he and Felicity find their HEA with Eva’s timely advice to her dad? (That girl is wise beyond her years!)
The story is heart-warming and keeps the reader’s emotions reaching out to the characters. So much could go wrong – but their relationships can hold them together. Grab your copy and share their journey.
Felicity is looking for investors for her clothing store and sneaks into a party at her dad’s house and literally runs into Cooper and there is an immediate attraction. Cooper is good friends with her dad but proposes a deal to Felicity in return for his money and business advice. Cooper is involved in a custody case with his ex-wife trying to get custody of their 2 daughters and has been advised that the judge is more likely to award him custody if he is engaged. Felicity meets the girls who currently live with Cooper and they get along great so she agrees to the 3 month fake engagement and moves in with Cooper and the girls. Felicity and Cooper grow closer and become more involved despite their initial agreement to not develop a real relationship. Will they fall in love and will Cooper be able to retain custody of his daughters or will the fake engagement be revealed?
I thoroughly enjoyed this story of the successful businessman and single father trying to retain custody of his daughters. Felicity had unique ideas for her clothing business and she and Cooper’s daughters got along great. I loved seeing the relationship between Felicity and Cooper develop despite her father. It was fun seeing Cooper’s 8 year old daughter offer him relationship advice. There was some drama involved that made the story even more enjoyable. The epilogue was a great ending for their story and I highly recommend this book.

There are some great tropes in this book, but also some nonsense that was a bit distracting.
The whole premise didn’t make a lot of sense. What kind of family law attorney would suggest this fake relationship set up? Why do they need to go to court anyway, when Gen has joint custody… she could just exercise her custody rights and ask for child support. 50/50 custody doesn’t mean no child support. Even if the judge favors mothers, no court is going to take the kids away from their dad for no reason, especially when Gen doesn’t exercise her current custody rights. And why would having a temporary fiancée be a good idea? It’s not like custody hearings are one and done. Gen can always come back later and ask for an adjustment, and having a short term relationship would be potentially harmful to future hearings.
Then later when Felicity’s father’s assistant testifies for Gen. And Felicity’s dad is like “Sorry, not sorry.” Except her dad is a high profile attorney and was just told that his assistant leaked private client information to a PI to be used in a court case against them and also agreed to testify. Dude. No one is going to want you to be their attorney after this. This is a big F-ing deal that badly harms your reputation as an attorney.
Finally, as far as the romance goes… Cooper has a lot of baggage. I felt bad that Felicity was managing his negative thoughts and feelings and taking the blame on herself.
I really enjoyed the book 'The Fiancé Hoax' by Crystal Monroe. The story begins with Felicity scaling her father's wall to his estate during one of his parties in order to find an investor for her struggling business from one of her father's rich clients. Her father does not share her business visions and does not believe in giving "free handouts'. Felicity meets Cooper just as she is literally dropping from the wall. He listens to her plight and believes he can help and then he comes up with a way to help both of him. He will help her structure her business and invest in it if she will agree to be his fake fiancé for three months until the custody hearing that will allow him to keep the custody of his two young daughters. His ex-wife only wants the girls so that she can have the child support money and he believes the judge will react favorably if there are two parents raising the girls. Felicity agrees to help him after meeting his two little girls. She and Cooper also recognize a strong attraction between the two of themselves too. She moves into Cooper's house and provides the outside world with a loving fiancé for Cooper and Cooper begins to help her build a successful business out of her fashion boutique.

I'm a sucker for a fake marriage trope and this one was pretty dang good. I didn't want to put this book down.
Felicity comes from a wealthy family but her father believes in doing it on your own. No hand outs, even for his one and only child. So, since she is a creative young lady, she finds a way, even though it is against her dad's rules, and finds someone to help her and invest in her business she has been building for the past three years.
Cooper is a single dad on the cusp of a nasty custody battle. He needs someone to help him convince the judge that his daughters should stay with him, as they have for the past two years. The only way is to convince someone to be his fake fiancé.
The only problem with this whole situation is, Cooper is her dad's closest friend.
This book gave me everything I needed. I followed these two, and Eve and Lily, on their rollercoaster of a journey. The scenes with the girls were so precious and they brought so much to this story and I'm so glad they were such a big part of it. And as for Cooper and Felicity, they had immediate chemistry and some very steamy scenes. They had their ups and downs but in the end, the HEA I wanted for them.
Crystal Monroe did a wonderful job telling these character's stories and I was there for it from the first word, to the very last.
Enjoyed this fake relationship age gap single dad romance. It is Cooper and Felicity's fake relationship romance with a happily ever after. Felicity needs an investor to save her business, and asks Cooper.Cooper needs a fake fiance to win custody of his girls. They both come to an agreement and set some rules,no sleeping together and no falling in love, which they end up breaking. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they cannot resist each other. Cooper does not want to repeat his past mistakes so tries hard to not let his emotions get involved.Felicity has her own issues to deal with. He starts to get feelings for Felicity and she falls in love with him.Eva and Lily his daughters also get attached to her which makes it even harder. The girls are adorable and the bond they have with their dad is just precious. The bond between Felicity and the girls is very heartwarming too. An emotional steamy romance with all the feels and a happily ever after.

Cooper and Felicity met when she was scaling over a stone wall, crashing her father's party. She was an aspiring designer and boutique owner. Her wealthy attorney father did not believe in her choice of careers, so he wasn't willing to help her, and he forbade her to bother his wealthy clients. There's's a sixteen-year-old difference in their ages, but he's enamored with her. They work out a deal which will help him in his custody trial. She agrees to be his fake fiancé for three months, and he agrees to back her dreams. What happens when they start having feelings for each other? What happens when her father finds out about their relationship? What about his ex and the mother of his children? Plenty of drama, an explosion of chemistry, a little angst and a whole lotta love. What a great book that will tear at your heart and take you on an emotional roller coaster. A great HEA and I read an arc via the author and I voluntarily chose to review it.
An excellent story to read! Guaranteed to make you swoon & drool over Cooper, a single dad fighting for full custody of his daughters. Meeting Felicity under unique circumstances, he strikes a deal with her where he gives her seed money to make her clothing boutique successful & she would be his fake fiancee. Their attraction towards each other is intense, so-much-so their deal on no-strings-attached is non-existent. Closer to the custody case with his ex-wife, Cooper & Felicity realize their end date to their deal is fast approaching. Throw in complications into this perfect match, you have the perfect novel with a roller coaster ride of emotions. I couldn't put this one down! Everything flowed so smoothly with their lives. Even his daughters fell in love with Felicity. What a charming family they will have with a HEA!

I loved Cooper and Felicity’s story. Absolutely adored Lily and Eva. Never did Felicity think that anything could happen between her and Cooper but a business arrangement to help her keep her store open. When Cooper comes up with an idea that could help both of them, Felicity was totally on board, of course with some rules attached. We all know rules are meant to be broken. These two have both been hurt in the past and Cooper has walls up so high Felicity isn’t sure she will be able to break them all down. Insecurities creep in, trust is a big thing for Cooper, both have feelings, more than they should and both are afraid to speak up, which causes more problems. I loved the push and pull, enjoyed the kids POV and how relatable everyone was in this story. I found this book on BookSprout.
Felicity needs an investor in her small fashion business sand she knows where to find one. The trouble is she has to sneak in and hope her dad doesn't catch her. When she meets Cooper her number one pick of an investor she is delighted and turned on, who knew investors 16 years her senior were so hot!
Sparks fly and Cooper is keen to invest but rather than a stake in her business he wants Felicity to be his fake fiancée so he can win his custody battle. She agrees and then both of these characters worlds change forever.
This is such a sweet, fun and steamy read. Cooper is going through alot but he feels his connection to Felicity fiercely even if he doesn't know what to do with it.
A good read that draws you in, has engaging and real feeling characters and ofcourse a sugar sweet HEA.

5 Stars I received a free copy of the steamy L.A. set romance The Fiancé Hoax: Faux Love Billionaire Series: Book One by Crystal Monroe and this review was given freely. At times sad with a tender and happy ending, this story has a good complexity and realistic characters. I enjoyed seeing the father’s intense and abrasive personality soften. I loved watching the girls and Felicity growing closer and found humor despite Cooper’s insecurity and the seriousness of the court case. After three years of struggling, designer and boutique owner Felicity goes against her demeaning, wealthy, and unsupportive father by crashing his home clients-only garden party and leaving a lasting impression on her father’s best friend, single father, and small business investor Cooper. 18+ for intimate scenes.
Readable fake-engagement romance. I loved the way the story starts with a determined Felicity climbing over a wall to crash her father’s party and nab an investor for her failing boutique & fashion business! The meet-cute happens when she practically falls in to older hunk, Cooper’s, arms. The chemistry between the two is there from the start and quickly engages the reader. Cooper is involved in a battle with his toxic ex-wife, for custody of their two cute kids and sees an opportunity for both he & Felicity to get what they want. A deal is struck: a fake engagement in return for his investment to save her business. I really liked the by-play between the two main characters as the story is a well-written and an enjoyable read. Whilst an ‘unexpected’ outcome from them succumbing to the red-hot chemistry is not exactly unexpected, and their HEA seems to be destined not to happen, the inevitable conclusion makes this an enjoyable read.
This is a age gap fake romance as Cooper first meets Felicity when she gate crashes her fathers business party by climbing over the wall as she needs an investor for her failing fashion boutique. They go for coffee to discuss and he agrees to invest if she agrees to be his fake fiancé as he is fighting his toxic ex wife for custody. Their chemistry is palpable from the moment they met and when she moves in they don’t last 24hrs before breaking the rules and sleeping together. His two girls Eva & Lily are adorable and they give her ideas for a children’s fashion range and they love sowing with Felicity and creating clothing. A little bit of drama between the couple which causes him to pull away but Eva makes him realise his mistake. This is a nice romantic read with two loveable characters and two adorable girls.
Felicity tried to get into her father's party to find an investor for her business. However, she was caught by Cooper. Cooper took advantage of her business idea and offered something she could help him with as well. He needed her to pretend to be his fiancé for three months. This is the beginning of what starts out as fake but quickly becomes a very real relationship for them. Yet they have some complications that come between them and may end things before they even had a chance. Will Cooper see that she is the one for him? Will she give him another chance?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
