i’m so happy i came across this book on tiktok. the smut did not disappoint! zac has a filthy mouth and i fear i won’t shut up about it. its definitely a good read!

my deductions are just little plot issues like connor and my want for more development between the leads outside of the bedroom, but otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Is it too early to say I’m inlove with this book? Well I’m saying it anyway. I love the characters in this book, Zac is such an ideal boyfriend like where can I find him, like I need him in my life seriously❤️‍🔥. Mina is such a bubbly character. I love her character too, these couple compliment each other so well. They found the love they need and deserve in each other💝. The writer did so great in this book, I love her writing style, it is such a easy read. I applaud skyla summers as this is only her second book out and she did such a good job in this book and in her first book👏💘. The chemistry between characters was there, this is such a fun, light, flirty romance book. I would totally recommend it🫶.

The smut scenes had me fanning myself because of how hot it is❤️‍🔥🫣Spice/ smut scenes rate it 4.5/5🌶️

Overall rate it 4.555/5✨💫 if you are into fake dating trope, celebrity fake dating, grumpyxsunshine. It’s a dual pov so it’s a plus for me so definitely recommend this book🫶

it’s coming out on January 24, 2023 so better look out for it. Would highly recommend it. Still thinking on how good the book is and how I love it💗 can’t wait for Jordan’s story🫣

I'm totally smitten with both the lead characters 🤌 This book was such a swoon worthy read for me. Zac is the boyfriend we all are manifesting for 🫶 and Mina is that sunshine character who brings loads of energy and excitement 💕 Their chemistry definitely increases the temperature and sets your heart on fire ❤‍🔥. The way they support each other and talk out things are goals 💘

Oh. My. Spice.

First off. Miss Skyla. Girl. What drug did you put in this book? I picked it up and literally could not put it down. It was ADDICTING. I absolutely loved this book. It felt so real. I truly thought I was living in NYC with Zac and Mina every single page of this amazing story. The fake dating trope was written PERFECTLY, and the plot was just *chefs kiss*. If you need a quick read to get sucked into quickly. It’s this book.
Seriously. Go read it.

This is my first book by this author, I really do have a bad habit for not reading the previous books in the series when I see it can be read as a standalone - don’t get me wrong that was true with this book too but you also know that the previous couple are now together so they are obviously all going to be interconnected. (This one is the second in the series)

Okay so this book wasn’t really for me I loved the concept of it and had high hopes (dragged in by another reel🥴) it all just felt a bit too fast paced, and the gang part was kinda meh…

Zac is a broadway star who is going through a messy divorce, which is affecting his career and leaving him damn near penny-less (HA penny 😆) < his ex wife.
He is obviously grumpy and with a good reason, so when this ball of sunshine turns out to be the girl he picked solely for her voice is his costar he doesn’t know what to do with it.

Mina has been in shows before but never the lead, this is her big break and she is well super excited is an understatement. She has had a crush on Zac for a long time, so she is obviously head over heels to sing with him and be working with him. But she quickly realises maybe he isn’t all she thought he was… or was he?

Okay so;

- these two have some super cute moments and hella hot ones too. There is obviously chemistry there from the start. I just felt the way it was written it seemed like it all happened over a week or two.

-the steam was perfect 🥵 that can’t keep our hands off each other kind.

-the crazy ex totally could have worked, that’s believable this girl makes you love her with her over the top personality and of course her adventures šëxüal nature.
However the gang side of it🫤 it all just seemed so unbelievable.

-loved Zacs friend group, wasn’t loving Mina’s


I am kinda on the fence about whether I’ll read the next in this series or not, it’s obvious who steel is going to be and what’s going to happen.

girl what the hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 the pace of this book threw me off & honestly the whole divorce factor would have worked much better if it was a year long relationship. no one moves on that fast from 13 years bruh. i felt like the bubbly personality was a little reinforced at times & icl the whole book could have gone without connor, the roommate sort of romance & hannah. there were a lot of factors that made the book more confusing if anything bcs they just didn’t line up or match the general vibe of the book; what is it w romcom writers and gangs ?1?2?4??2! they always start off so sweet & lovey dovey then BAM‼️ a gang, the mafia, or a stalker decides to show up. there are ways to create a rift between the mc’s without creating plot points THAT MAKE NO SENSE 🗣️🗣️ ngl i saw a insta reel abt this book & finished it in literally less than an hour. it wasn’t a waste of time bcs it all goes to my end or year goal for 150
books but also like, i repeat, girl what the hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

if zac wasn’t going through a divorce & it was just a breakup, rather than having crazy stalker connor and instead just having a miscommunication arc, i would have loved this book sm more. it literally could have just been zac & hannah but jus w escalation towards more misunderstandings and jealousy 🧍‍♂️

more of a train journey or plane book tbh. was it worth the read ?? yeah alright . would i reread it ?? nah 👎👎

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Zac and Mina’s chemistry and witty banter make you just dive into the book completely. Mina’s sunshine mixed with Zac’s grumpiness just makes everything is a chef’s kiss🤌🏽 It’s a perfect book for lovers of the grumpy/sunshine trope, which is my personal favorite.
Adrian Hunter was one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time, but now Zac Delavin may have taken his spot. Lol I can’t wait for the third book from Skyla Summers. She is just an amazing author and her writing is great and it’s easy to read and enjoyable all the way around!

It’s crazy how different one book is to another! The first in the series was okay for me, I loved Adrian and Verena but with no dual POV, it was just lacking knowing what Adrian as thinking. Now Zac on the other hand, holy smokes…. That man has one filthy mouth and I am here for it! I loved the chemistry between him and Mina and felt the book was written soooo much better than the first! All in all, I thought it was a solid 4/5 with some cute spicy moments in there as well.

I’m keen as hell for Daxton and Jordan I mean I KNEW HE WAS STEEL! Ahhh okay enough.

Just read the series they’re great reads!

I LOVED this book so much. Now I typically love every book I read but ughh. The spice is amazing, the plot is perfect, the characters are just *chefs kiss.* Honestly one of my favorites. I loved how it was grumpy x sunshine at first until he slowly opened up. Despite him being divorced and struggling with his own feelings, I loved that he was still able to communicate. Although it took them a while to get together for real, they were absolutely great together. No miscommunication tropes or anything (unless you count Verena's party if yk what I mean.)

It was ok.The whole Connor situation was realistic minus the gang thing. And personally I just don’t like 3rd act break ups. I feel like Mina could’ve handled the situation better and telling Zac would’ve been safer idk (she was also getting annoying during these end when they broke icl) Would’ve loved to see more of Mina and Zac’s relationship develop a bit more cause all I remember is them practicing for the show, Connor and the sex lol. Jordon girl, just get with Steel already lol (ik the next book is about her but damn)… also loved Zac’s friend group!!

I enjoyed reading it.

I liked Mina's and Zac's relationship and the reason why they fake date makes more sense than Verena and Adrian.

Zac isn't the typical grump. He actually has a reason why he is grumpy, and he apologizes for being a jerk in the beginning.

I found the Connor storyline an interesting addition.

Mina and Zac were a cute couple. Nothing really stood out about them. Grumpy/sunshine couple.

Writing was very simple. Plot was quite predictable. I didn’t love how the whole plot line of Mina’s ex/stalker Conner was a huge part throughout the book and gets resolved in 2 pages.

tengo varias cosas para decir. voy a empezar diciendo que siendo actriz y fan de los musicales me encantó la premisa, aparte ya me había encantado el primer libro de la serie asi que no podía decepcionarme (spoiler: si lo hizo)

la primera mitad fue ADICTIVA, literalmente no sé que tipo de falopa le puso la autora pero no podía dejar de leer!!! todo era tan interesante, la historia de los personajes y la relación entre ambos era increíble.

me gustó mucho como se desarrolló la relación al principio; esa transición mini de enemies a best friends to lovers me dio mucha ternura.

sin embargo, la historia carecía de un conflicto fuerte, podría haber funcionado pero siento que estuvo mal ejecutado. se resolvió muy a las apuradas y todo fue muy conveniente.

la segunda mitad me costó mucho terminarla. se basó todo en smut, pero literal. no me joden las escenas de sexo, es mas, me encanta leerlas en los libros, pero cada dos minutos se la pasaban cogiendOOOOO!!! no había nada de trama y me daba pena porque quería que los personajes se desarrollaran un poco más.

y algo que me dio bronca es que casi no había interacciones románticas aparte del sexo.
no puede haber una escena normal haciendo cosas de pareja sin estar garchando todo el puto libro??????? no agarré el libro como por dos semanas porque me habían hartado, pero bueno, quería terminarlo. el final fue bastante apresurado como dije anteriormente y medio pedorro también, las 3 estrellas van porque me gustó la primera mitad

i swear this book was the best ever surprise!! I went in partially blind and i ended up loving it so much!

It's been such a long time since a book was this fun for me, I mean yes other books were super fun too but this one was so easy for me to get into and I didn't even take many breaks and i had the best time with it! It was so swoony and yes funny too, trust me when I tell you this book had me giggling and kicking my feet up in the air because the banter between Zac and Mina was absolute chef's kiss!

Their romance was so refreshing and i just loved how Zac was an asshole in the beginning but then you understand more of him and you cannot help but fall in love with him!

Also I absolutely love Mina! She was so funny, care free and just such a fun person to read about like she was a burst of energy and I adore her so much! I loved the easy air about her and just her interactions with her friends and Zac were so fun!

The whole fake dating trope this book served was so good! Zac and Mina's fake dates and just their banter was amazing and to see the whole line between the fake and real blurring was so good and I so enjoyed evey second 🤭
Their chemistry was off the charts and I just loved how well they both complemented each other!
