'Have wild crazy monkey sex with the first man you bump into.' Roisin Grant hadn't intended to follow her best friend's advice - but, sometimes, what you expect from life and what you get don't match up. She never expected her husband would have a stash of home-made porn movies, with him in the starring role, or that he would die and leave her bankrupt. And she never expected to be faced with asset-stripper Saul Mathews and a choice. Walk away from her home and equestrian business, or call his bluff and help him deliver riding lessons of an altogether different kind.
Zara Stoneley is the USA Today bestselling author of The Wedding Date.
Born in a small village in the UK, she wanted to be a female James Herriot, a spy, or an author when she grew up. After many (many) years, and many different jobs, her dream of writing a bestseller came true.
She writes about friendship, dreams, love, and happy ever afters, and hopes that her tales make you laugh a lot, cry a little, and occasionally say 'ahhh'.
Zara now lives in a Cheshire village with her family, a lively cockapoo called Harry, and a very bossy (and slightly evil) cat called Saffron.
Zara’s bestselling novels include 'The Wedding Date', 'The Holiday Swap', 'Summer with the Country Village Vet', 'Blackberry Picking at Jasmine Cottage' and the popular Tippermere series - 'Stable Mates', 'Country Affairs' and 'Country Rivals'.
LOVED the characters, LOVED the plot, and LOVED the naughtiness ;)
The book's about... So, Roisin's husband Toby has just passed away, leaving behind him a HUGE mountain of debts, along with a large collection of Porn, starring HIMSELF as the main character. And, little does Roisin know, her home is also about to be snatched from her grasp by the mysterious and extremely hot man in the suit, Saul. The chemistry between these two sets off in sparks from the get-go, and it doesn't end either. After meeting Saul in a pub whilst pulling pints, Roisin finds it hard to stay away, not realising that this man is the one who can take away everything that she has ever known.
Once she does realise what he is there for, she agrees to set up a business venture with him, involving her home, and using it as a sex-therapy business for couples who want to spice up their sex lives. Along with other couples receiving sex education, she is also getting riding lessons from Saul ;)
After a few heated arguments, passion and fiery sex scenes they realise that, putting both of their pasts aside, they could actually be extremely good for each other.
To tell you the truth, this ebook did take me a while to read, considering it was only a short read. I don't know whether this is due to me using my Kindle for the first time and needing to get used to it, or whether it was the ebook itself, I'm not sure. I'm going to say that I did enjoy it, but maybe there could have been a bit more depth to the story-line, although major praise for naughty scenes ;) Yum yum yum yum...
Riding High is an erotic romance novel from Zara Stoneley. It tells the story of Roisin Grant, a recently widowed woman who's finding out more about her husband than she ever wanted to know. For example, he has a stash of home movies with him as the star, and worse yet, he's left her bankrupt. Deep down, she knows her beloved riding school is going to have to go, but she expects she'll have a little time to let it all sink in. When Saul Mathews turns up, however, she discovers she has no time at all - the man announces he owns the property and she needs to get out immediately.
Fortunately, though, Saul has a heart. And a bit of a soft spot for Roisin. He gives her a way of staying on at her home and equestrian business, but it's not exactly a traditional idea, and Roisin's not sure if she can go through with it. How far will she go to save her livelihood and her home?
Despite the themes of this book - death and bankruptcy - being somewhat depressing, Riding High is good fun. The various elements throughout come together nicely and give the reader an engaging, refreshing and sexy read. The characters are likeable - even when they're not really supposed to be - and you find yourself rooting for them and hoping they'll get a happy ending. Recommended if you like an erotic romance with a difference.
Roisin Grant just lost her husband, after finding his sex tape library. The bad thing, he starred in every one (without her). Her best friend tells her to ‘Have wild crazy monkey sex with the first man you bump into.’ As far as Roisin is concerned “wild monkey sex” doesn’t exist. She’s always had nice, polite sex with her husband. Of course, the videos she found show him having wild monkey sex. For my full review, click here: http://wp.me/p3a6Qw-8i
3.5 stars. Riding High by Zara Stoneley is a super sexy and highly erotic novella. It is a fast-paced story that will set your eReader on fire. To read my review in its entirety, please click HERE.
2 stars It was an OK read, the sex was HOT (M/F and M/F/M), but other than that, I didn't really care for the characters or the story all that much just what they did while they were together. Roisin goes through a sexual journey with Saul, on a farm where there are two kinds of riding schools *blush*
A really good read with some steamy scenes. Really enjoyed reading this. When your husband dies, you don’t expect to be left bankrupt or to fall into bed with the one guy with the power to take what little you have left. When he offers her a chance to keep her home can she bring herself to do what is needed?
The story starts off with a bang and doesn't stop until the end. Lots of tension and hot sex. It has a little bit of everything; voyeurism, menage, self-love, etc. I liked this book so much I purchased the recommended reads listed on the back of the book without looking at descriptions or reviews.
