A good introduction into how to use the Internet to help you market your small to medium-sized business (SMB). I think that this is a good book for SMBs that have not yet started using the Internet to engage with their customers, if any such businesses still exists in the world, and want to take their first, tentative, steps in this direction. Rather than providing you with all the answers, which is probably an impossibility given that every business will be unique in its specific requirements, the book seeks to educate the reader just enough to know which questions to ask in order to start marketing their particular business on the Internet. The book provides a good overview of the subject matter, introduces you to the relevant marketing terminology, and considers things from a wide variety of perspectives, many of which will probably not be relevant to your specific business but which will, nevertheless, help to give you a much fuller understanding of things. This is also the sort of book that you should read before you call in the marketing consultants, as it will let you actually understand what they are saying and also allow you to better direct their efforts to the ultimate benefit of your business.
